Gourmet

Nathan ground up lamb and added it to the food and not a single dog lifted their heads. It was magic. hahahahaha

Here are a few photos from today.

Momma Fiona and son had a great time today when he dropped in for a short play visit.

There is a funny story with this one. Levon was laying on his back and Cha Cha pounced on top of him. He was actually trying to engage Leti in play and Cha Cha was going to have none of that. He was hers to play with. hahahaha

Cha Cha was a delight. She played and played and played. Hope she is resting at home now.

Soon Brewer will depart and everyone will miss him. Miss Gracie already departed and it got quieter. That gal needs agility as she just loves to play her heart out.

Bailey played with everyone and maximized his time here. He was only here while mom was at the hairdressers. He is going to love another pup.

Levon says - treat please. He's off on an adventure with Trigger. They moved in to a new place and his parents had the experience of - why would we ever want to move after THAT! I hope they love their new digs even if its in transition. Boxes can make fun games. :-) Yeah to internet tomorrow!

We had many more photos but I think I would rather snuggle with the dogs. You don't mind, do you?

I love my Ripley but I have to admit to a crush on Bailey! He is absolutely adorable. And sheer envy if he is getting a brother or sister. My building only allows one dog. Maybe I should take a page from Levon and Trigger's family and move? Then I could Hav twice the fun!

Lovely photos. Who is the blonde in the 1st photo?

November 30, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDebi & Laci

Debi: That's Cooper.

Sue: I bet you Ripley would like that. :-)

Cooper's human dad is jealous....he likes lamb but I never cook it. Great pictures and lots of fun as always. Those Havs sure have a great life! And Bailey looks like a little Teddy bear. Love him!

What great photos of happy Havs having fun.

Cooper sure is a handsome boy. I agree with everyone's comments on Bailey.
He is so cute I'd like to pick him up and give him hugs. He was getting right into the middle of the group playing with the bigger dogs..

How do you get a Hav to play?
My gal isn't a play monkey like yours, she doesn't even like other dogs that much.
I did so want to have another but don't think she will take to competition.
I find it hard to even get her to run round with me. She won't walk sometimes and I checked her out all over, legs, feet and everything, even had bloods done. No issues.
She is quite hard work for grooming, she curls her legs under her so you can't touch em. She just wants lots of snuggles off friends and neighbours and seeks out cats, not to chase but to sniff and watch.

Yay internet! Just found out how expensive small town grocery stores are - ouch! Great photos - how come Levon plays nice with Leti, but pounces on poor Trigger?!? lol.

Shannon, not sure where you moved to but I agree with small town = big prices. When we moved to Huntsville from Mississauga, we couldn't believe the difference in prices at Loblaw! I bet Trigger and Levon love their new house :-)

I always marvel at how beautiful Cooper is. Didn't recognize him in the close-up shot and thought he was an Abigail/Truffie offspring. His face is similar to her 2 litters prior to this recent one.

Hi Anne. We're in Belfountain now. I just made a quick trip to Erin, but I'll be driving to Orangeville, Georgetown, or even back to Brampton at these prices. For a brief moment I considered just leaving everything there!

The dogs love the house- it's long, so lots of good running space, but they're still pretty unsure of things so they're sticking even closer to me than normal. And Levon is barking or growling at every strange sound. Hopefully that doesn't last too long!

Shannon, we used to go to Bellfountain all the time when we had a motorcycle. Lovely town. The dogs will get used to the new sounds. It took Cooper a few days to get used to his new home. Lots of nice places for dog walks up your way!

I just heard it was a popular destination of cyclists. It is beautiful here. In the spring I want to get a season pass to take the pups walking in the conservation area! It's the next best thing to living in Muskoka!

Leti has been conditioned by the big dogs. I saw the beginnings of Trigger saying ENOUGH here but he loves Levon in a big way and believe it or not Levon feels the same. Eventually he will get big enough and poor Levin will go oh my gad what happened - there's a game changer. It will come.

Sounds like we will have to come visit you and take a walk or two with you. :-) Nathan may be at a show in Mono at the end of the year.

Like Anne said they will get used to the new sounds.

By the way, Yvonne still comes into Toronto every now and then and does some freezer shopping.

Mo: Do you have another havanese close by that you can condition yours to?

December 1, 2013 | Registered CommenterDarlah

You are always welcome to visit - I can't wait to enjoy the area in the warm weather!

Every once in a while Trigger says enough - but he has a lot of patience. They've been sleeping side-by-side a lot more since they got home. Probably partially the new digs - but it's nice!

December 1, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterShannon

Shannon: The side by side is nice!!

December 1, 2013 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Darlah: No Havanese near enough to visit anymore. I do try socializing with other dogs that are not too big or in your face bouncing as this is what starts the- I am not having this- response.
In class it was all snappy and barking dogs and she didn't like it on top of that the trainer just kept coddling her. I stuck with it for puppy class and some of the bigger group but it was getting way to stressful. Tried a different class and trainer. I think she was terrified because her tail was down and her body seemed low, like she didn't want to be seen.
