Just a Day

Frannie's antics include standing on Nathan's kitchen chair as if to say - well where is the food?

You are filling the bowls MUCH too slowly. Gee Frannie - patience my gal. hahahahaha

Frannie was here and got a bath and now she is off with her Mary Beth. I miss her already.

She is truly a character.

We remain extra busy. This week we have our grand daughter so Nathan has to drive her to school, pick her up after school and spend some quality time with a teenager. We are oldies you know so that can be interesting - I say that as I watched Flashpoint with her last night and actually found I liked the show - who knew.

She doesn't like Idol - me neither but we watched it. She went online.

It's a busy week and I am playing catch-up on baths. I did poorly today. I only washed the Frannie so I am a tad behind - silly me - procrastinating.

I did manage to catch some shots of the younger set and with Mia playing with Roxie.

Roxie and Mia get along famously. They have an interesting relationship. Mia says we play on MY time not on yours. Roxie finds this to be a curious thing.

Now that she knows she waits for Mia to introduce play and then they play and play. But if Roxie introduces play Mia says - not now. huh?

Be sure to check out Spice's blog to see the younger set. They had such fun.

Frannie has turned into a wonderful looking dog (she was a great looking puppy too).At least I think she is one of yours. Hunting for spring treasures is always fun. I always try to get the bad stuff when it is frozen and doesn't smell. Usually Katie and I walk and then it is "Poop patrol". Somehow no mater how many times I pick up there is still some that appears as the snow melts. Well in Winnipeg melting will be some time from now. Last year 20 this year -14 with a wind chill. Darlah, with your busy life getting behind on washing dogs is totally understandable. I truly hope your granddaughters will be okay. It is bad being in the hospital and equally upsetting being a teenager uprooted and away from your friends. I hope the dogs and puppies can light up her days. Please take care of yourself. You do so much for us and so all your online friends wish you well and pray for your family.

Yes, Frannie is one of ours - a real pistol, I might add.

Marilyne: Thank you. It's interesting balancing everything but I have a 3 week mark for the dogs. They can't/won't go past that time frame for baths. Most times its a 2 week window which I really like as they don't get matted easily. Dirty hair tends to mat no matter what you do to it and when that starts you know you are overdue for the bath.

We do poop patrol so much its a tad ridiculous but last winter season we had no snow - so no surprises. We made up for it this year. What we do have is a rabbit that keeps us busy in that regard.

Frozen is the best. We actually have a ice pick that we use to take them out of the ice, if they get to that stage. It works well. It almost seems like a challenge to make sure you get it all doesn't it?

I remember being at someone's house after the winter melt and having hubby yell that wife wasn't diligent enough and how come he was picking up so much with just 4 dogs. I laughed. It so easily gets lost with a heavy snowstorm so I can imagine how it is where you live.

I never count on a true spring till after our son Dennis' bday which is April 17th. We always seem to get something that surprises us on that date. heh Then the real spring comes. Well, they gave us something to talk about by saying spring happened today.

The grand daughter - is a concern - the one here that seems to be in a funk and the one in the hospital. It affects the entire family having someone ill frequently.
