Very Early Day

We had to get up at 4am so Nathan, Tracy, Jonathan and the gals could go to Ottawa. Dennis stayed sleeping in till 7am. Me, I kept the dogs occupied and relatively quiet so he could sleep in. Then at 7am I woke him up so we could feed the crew. In that time I read a newspaper, drank my coffee to pretend I was awake and watched this lovely play between Cooper and Levon.

I also cleaned the puppy pen, started laundry and started grooming the dogs.

Milo was first as he is going home tonight. His hair is a challenge as he has tight curls and he's not getting a bath so a dirty coat tends to mat. So, I brushed him out and then combed him out and although I have been doing him daily completely he was an hour job this morning of nonstop combing.

I used the table in the kitchen and as I was grooming these two played the entire time and then some.

After Milo was done, I did Hugo and then Jeannie.

Then I started on Levon and I am working my way through all. But I also had a play session with the pups outside of their pen and tried to do a video at the same time doing it all myself. Who knows how the video came out but not even going to look at it till I finish grooming. Then I want to head outside in-between the rain and get some playing done despite all this grooming cause hey I am a glutton for punishment.

Nathan has already arrived. It looks like its about to rain so I best get outside while I can.

But maybe no swimming today as its really too busy but fun is absolutely on the menu.

Oh, and the camera the error was the connection between the lens and camera so I wiped it off and it seems to be working. Let's hope it continues as some say to clean using alcohol and some say not. Think I will wait and call the service center and ask them Monday. :-)

As we have Fiona pups coming tomorrow and Piper coming for a visit while parents go to a game, I best have my camera working.

I may or may not update this later on. Let's see how busy the day remains.

Here are a few more photos I took today.

No one wants to stay outside for any real length of time except for short bursts and they don't want to run like the wind either. It's simply too muggy and I suspect they also got up way too early like me. Tomorrow is a new day. When the sun or clouds go down and Nathan is home, we will try to get them running when it is a tad cooler.

They are playing in the house but there is nothing like running outside. Cooler weather they say is coming.
