Nice But Still Busy
Today we had a lot of time outside. It wasn't too hot and it was a great day to have pups outside and the older dogs so we did. I have to say it was QUIET. Dennis is still not home. I hope he's having a blast. Nathan took his usual nap. I groomed dogs, cleaned puppy pens, washing, snuggling. I swam. Pepper walked up and down my body as I lay out there. Scruffy thought that was fun and did that too.
We had a ton of play. Levon went into the pool. Roxie jumped in without an invite. Scruffy we tried to get in and he wanted to be with Roxie but not that bad.
Where are you Roxie - are you coming back? She just adores swimming. Nathan brushed her. I gave him a hint.
Levon went swimming and it was a perfect day as he departed today. He is such a strong swimmer.
Then Roxie played the chase game with him.
It was a good day. Tomorrow Simba departs then Griffin and then Rafi.
Tomorrow we have a rehearsal. Nathan is setting up a dog show in Markham. It's a crazy busy weekend. Family is still in. Celebrations are still going on. I am editing videos for the events - but its great to see everyone. Clean up - well is interesting. I feel there is so much preparation and so much cleanup after everyone goes. Family is back here on Thursday unless it rains. Then we are all down the daughter's house Friday fixing the tents, the tables and all the things that got wet - you wait... Yes, it's an outside party starting Saturday night. Nathan is showing Jeannie Sunday morning. Are we laughing? I am... or trying.

That s such a pretty photo of Pepper ....it made me smile.
Scruffy is still hung up on Roxie :)
Lol, love the wet photo of Levon. He looks so tiny all wet. So happy to be home with him again - nothing better than a smiling dog. Thanks for taking such good care of him!
Wow, you folks are really busy. Is Jeannie being shown at the Markham Show ?
Jeannie is showing only on Friday and Sunday - gad help me. Tonight is rehearsal. Last night I was sick so I had maybe 3 hours of sleep. Dennis got in at almost midnight so I stayed up for him getting in from the CNE. He said he needed sleep so he is sleeping. Nathan is at the show setting up. He said you can nap when I return - oh yeah you cant as we have a rehearsal. Griffin goes home noonish and Simba goes home after rehearsal and Rafi tomorrow at 1030 so I get up tomorrow and he gets a bath. Tomorrow and Friday is not busy and next week we just have the Coops I believe so easy relaxing - playing recovery time and maybe Cooper will swim. It's wonderful to have family in but you have to cut out something and for me it seems its sleep. Funny how that doesn't happen with Nathan or Dennis...heh
Yes, Scruffy is indeed still smitten with Roxie - its a funny relationship. Maybe cause she plays so hard to get and when he does they have so much fun.
I thought Pepper looked beautiful. She has such a pretty face!
Oh my! Had no idea that was Lori's wee baby-girl. She is so grown up. How old is she now? She is indeed very pretty!
Lori - I've enjoyed your articles in the Havanese Magazine. Very informative and I liked how it was written from your personal experience.
Debi, she turned 9 months yesterday! She is growing so fast. I have to agree with Darlah that she has such a pretty face.....I think she is getting prettier as she grows. She reminds us so much of Spicy which is wonderful because we have always loved Spicy. We are extremely lucky to have her.
Glad you liked the article. I had so much fun writing it! :)
Darlah, Scruffy loves a gal who takes charge ;)
Lori - I'm sure Pepper is getting prettier as she grows, but I have a theory that as loves grows so does the beauty of the ones we love. It's all in our heart's eye. I continue to marvel at how beautiful our Laci is. :-)
Your two sure do look like they are "fun."
No doubt about that Debi. We are so in love with these two. They make us laugh and laugh with their antics. It's good for the soul. I'm sure you feel the same about Laci. You know when you get a Talemaker Havanese, it will be a truly special dog.
I had to laugh yesterday as my daughters told me their kids said I was coming back in my next life as a Havanese . . . and they've decided they want to do that too!
Every time my granddaughter Maia sees Laci it's like it's the first time b/c she always says, "Aww, Laci is the most beautiful dog in the whole world!" :-)
Yes, these little Talemakers are very special! :-)
Now - I have to stop being so mushy! LOL
