The Day

Just got this photo so wanted to add it. This is Katie from Roxie's first litter. Oh my gad is she a cutie. Looks like someone else has a pool cover on. Not here!

Sorry but we are so sounding like a broken record but I will play catch-up - honest and will post videos and all that fun stuff. I am actually going to look at the videos tonight in hopes I can get some up tonight or tomorrow.

We had hoped the pool would be closed by now. It was supposed to be on Friday but then we got a call from Pioneer Pools that their machine that takes all the moisture out of the lines had an electrical shortage and wouldn't be done till Monday so its a possible close on Monday or Tuesday.I can't wait to see the dogs on the pool cover and wonder if Abby and Inula will use it.

Our leaves are so high that it is ridiculous. This sounds crazy but I use my forced air dryer to put the leaves in a pile to pick up. Well, Val has my dryer as hers broke. This is the dryer I use when I have to blow water out of the coat fast. It also does a great job in blowing leaves.

So, the leaves are crazy and someone needs to find energy to rake. Dennis is sleeping still as he had to stay up late this morning as we had a pup departing. That means the rake won't come out and the pool will keep filling with leaves. Got to love it.

I feel like each time we open the front door the leaves find their way in.

In 3 plus weeks Dennis night shift comes to an end. Normalcy will arrive - whatever that is. Then holidays begins. hehe

Last night I had 80% of the dogs hugging me. I opened the window as I needed the fresh air, turned the fan on. Nathan had to keep getting up. I think I froze him out.

That's okay. His ipad is dead so he uses mine to watch tv. I have to have some fun. ooops did I say that? Yes, I do love him so and besides the dogs and I LOVED the cool air. He does need his sleep so extra blankets for him and cool air for the dogs and I. Is that a good compromise?

What Caption should be on this one?PS: Shady, Nora, Scruffy and Pepper are having fun together and Logan and Scruffy really like each other.Well, off to feed the pups with Panda. She is doing the feeding entirely herself as Roxie fed hers as they play on the deck as I type. Nathan is out with them in his usual winter hat and sweatshirt.

I have a slew of photos but will try to make a gallery tomorrow.

The dogs are LOVING the cooler weather and the leaves. It makes for perfect runs.

Oh and there was puppy Magic with Scruffy and Abby. It seems she stole his heart. How interesting.

Great blog. I love seeing pics of Risa, she looks so young and happy! I'm with you re cool air versus blankets. The story of my life....always has been! The dogs look happy and they will enjoy the trampoline soon!

Cute. Maybe Abby reminds him of a yound Pepper? Did Pepper get jealous?

Lori: No jealousy - can you believe? They each played with her.

I forgot to mention that Katie absolutely loved running and playing on that pool cover! Was like a trampoline and it made her wild!
Which is the very light dog with the very long ears that seems to be up running with these long ears blowing back behind him/her?

That is Tia. She's not our breeding but we have known her for a long time. She comes for a haircut and bath and to play every now and then.

Glad Katie enjoyed the cover. That is her fearless attitude.
