It's a Morning

The human here says brushups for everyone. Baths for Shady and Nora, Tia already had hers (yes at 830am) and Shady and Pepper get a line combing and pad cleanup/nails.

Truffie says - it's Sunday - day off please with treat for nothing please? hahaha

Shiner is back with us (last night). It seems he is too boisterous for Patches. He is used to playing with larger or older dogs and we should have spent more time one on one with the pups here to see how he is. It is our fault.

With Abby he is no issue but we have adults that keep him in line here.  As he is not our dog I didn't test him in all situations one on one. Watching him last night and today he would be wonderful with an older dog that is playful as he loves to play or a dog his age. He would also be fine as an older dog with someone that walked and played with him or had friends with dogs. He loves playing with dogs, humans and he is a good boy. He is trained. He is also crate trained. He is a cuddler.

He is truly a wonderful dog. This was simply Patches being so young and Shiner trying to say this is my home, my toys, my people.

He just needs a dog companion that can keep up with him. He is a playful, fun dog. He's not highly busy. He simply likes to play. At Paula's he used to take walks with her dogs and her friends dogs on hikes. He is used to many breeds of dogs and plays well but until here he did not have any interaction with 10 week old pups.

More later....

Darlah is right, Shiner is a wonderful dog. It was just not a good fit for young Patches, that is all. He would make someone a truly wonderful family addition. We took him for two walks and had lots of cuddles and he loved all.

I would it imagine would to be challenging to have a new puppy and also a new older puppy in the household. One could look at it as a fun overnight stay for Shiner. Bet he had a ball!

We can relate! Levon was very boisterous when we brought Trigger home. It wasn't easy at all. Shiner probably needs someone more like Levon.

Yes and then Trigger adapted. :-)

Yah. It's fun to watch them now - he's gotten so much more confident. Most of the last two days he's been grabbing Levon's back leg. It's payback time!
