More Snow Play

Here are photos from yesterday and today. Nora and Shady depart today and so do Bailey and Bella. I got up at 6am thinking it was 7am. Nathan about killed me but he realizes I do so much so he can't. hahahahaha

You can see how high our snowbanks are from the paths Dennis created. The deck is now done and Bella is no longer sinking in.

We had an early morning play. I got baths this afternoon and Nathan has an eye appointment. As soon as I am done the xpens and got the washer going I will start grooming. Dennis is sleeping and pups have been fed. It's 9am and it feels like half the day is gone. Now how did that happen?

Hoping to get my camera today for the Roxie and Panda crew.

Wow that is a lot of snow. We've had thawing /freezing so the backyard is mostly ice with grass peaking through. The sidewalks have been mostly puddles so its a bath all around when we come back from walks. Super windy last night/ today so that should help dry things up. I'm sure there is still a dump or 2 of snow still to come but its nice to be out of the deep freeze.

So you think that is a lot of snow ??? Come to Muskoka !!! In summer my fence is 5 feet high but for most of this winter it has only been 8 inches high. The only reason it hasn't been a problem for the dogs is that they can't get through the deep snow to get to the fence to jump over it. Getting scary now with the thaw then freeze.

Sure hope some of it melts soon because the poor dogs have only had a very small area to go out and play. You just can't make trails in 4 feet of snow !!

Its a lot of snow for March. We have had more snow than this but you expect more snow in snow country. :-) You can make trails if you own a plow that does sidewalks. Only the city has THOSE. :-) Our friends where Truffie went visiting has snow like that but due to hubby having surgery he has had neighbors making paths for dogs but they have riding mowers with plows on them. I wish I had one of those.

Gerda: when we were warm last week everyone was saying look spring is coming. I kept saying I don't think so. Think my daughter is going to egg my house as she really believed snow was no more till after fall.

We have managed to shovel or used an electric snowblower to make paths for Cooper all winter long so there is plenty of space, and a nice maze to play . The paths are now melting slowly so grass is starting to show....haven't seen that in a while. I think Richmond Hill now has more snow than us. But I will admit, snow is so much cleaner for the dogs but it cannot last, can it? Coop is looking forward to playing in your fresh snow next week :-)

Anne: It doesn't stay clean long. :-) But we try. You have grass up north - wow. Haven't seen grass all winter long.

We still have plenty of snow here in Barrie. No grass showing yet. As much as I love the snow, I am looking forward to warmer weather. The dogs will hate to see the snow go. Beautiful pictures Darlah.
