Got To Love the Warmth

It's a mudpile out there even though we have snow still. All the muck is seeping through as the melt continues. Cali, who I gave a bath to looked simply like a muckity muckster 10 minutes later. I have to accept she is a wild fun spirit and just embrace that I have to keep her away from everyone and definately from outside if I expect the just brushed look. Deep down I love her for it!

The Maxine was over for a bath. Oh my does that gal have hair. She was rather smitten with our visitor Sparky. But Roxie, Coco and Adele also really liked playing with her.

See those black feet on Cali and she's walking on snow. Only she could find the mud.

This was Logan before I groomed him. He's waiting for his momma to pick him up. He tried to coax me into giving him some extra pieces of dried chicke strips I dehydrate and well I caved in. After all he gave me kisses and I am human.

The Moms were staying away from pups while we had visitors as it wasn't feeding time yet. This was a hard proces for them. But pups are still trying to eat and moms are not convincing enough that this is not the time yet.

Just a normal day around here but to tell you the truth, I am exhausted.

Logan loves those chicken strips - will kiss for food! I should have taken you up on our offer of more the other day as he has wolfed his way through the bag already!

Thats a cute photo of the "moms"

I think Cali just takes after Spicy and so does Pepper.....her paws have been looking that way too. Every night it's dunk paws into the soapy water and then dunk into clean water to rinse. Scruffy now thinks it's a game and kept trying to jump back into the tub. Sllly bear!

Maxine sure does have a lot of hair. Is it thick like Jeannie's coat ?
You still have a lot of snow in your back garden area. Cali plays like a boy she
will always find the dirt.

Love that pic of the three "moms"

Pepper looks just like Cali every time she goes out but we have lots of mud :(
Paws are getting washed daily in the bathtub. Scruffy now thinks it's a game and wanted to jump back into the tub for more splashing fun. We better have an early summer!

Maxine has more hair than Jeannie. She has a thick, thick coat but silky. We suggested it get thinned out. Beauty of a thick coat you can cut through mats and never notice. Fiona and Truffie have a lot of hair too but I thin it out. Imagine if I didn't? You can overdo thinning coats out though so its important to be careful. It takes a long time for many to get the thickness back and some never do.

Lynda: Hes been getting them every day. Got to get some more to make them. I will give you extra next batch. Between the moms and the dogs they go too fast. Worth it though as they love them.

Lori: We have lots of mud too. Here I Look at Cooper who just came in pristine and just washed and I wonder how he will ever stay clean. I am asking for a miracle. hahahaha

We have so much mud under and around our spruce tree that it's like a swamp. Luckily, Laci avoids mud and puddles (Princess didn't ya know) unless she sees a squirrel or chipmunk. Then she chases them and doesn't care what she's running in. I noticed last time she took forever to come in and wandered and wandered around. My guess was that she was avoiding the tub for as long as she could. They really all are so darned cute that you have to laugh! :-)
