Rain Threatens

Well weather is usual. Why even mention it as its the same old miserable. Here are a few photos I managed to click. We are busy, playing and having a good time and I keep taking them out hoping we stay semi-dry.

It is pretty windy as you can see.

Leti and Pepper and Scruffy have been looking for trouble - well not really but boy are they having fun.

Ty is visiting while his mom and dad head to a movie and then he will go home. The crew seeing it is NOW raining is in with Dennis in the tv room and out in the kitchen playing and staying dry.We have had a game of retrieve, a game of find the ball and bottle.

Coco and Doozie have THEIR fave spots and they seem to be creatures of habits as most are. They relish tv time and oh Coco says this bed is all mine! Each time she visits she claims it!

Oh and Adele came in second in the All Breed Show - isn't eating and think she wants to be home. Hope she feels better. :-(  Its a no pointer. :-)

Looks like its hot and windy. Wish it was hot here. Jackets in hot weather fun...

Chasing Dennis...

Are you coming out lady or just going to snap that thing?

We are having fun despite the weather. I hear tell it feels like 40c where Nathan is.

I'm tired of saying that this summer sucks but it does....we had our first fireplace fire today....smells good but doesn't replace summer heat :-) I feel for Adele, hard to be away for so long but at least she has Nathan. Hope she feels better and eats. As for you and Dennis, hoping for better weather to come.

I wish we could trade weather with you for abit... It's been extremely humid here which is very unusual. Temps are high 20C but with the humidity its mid 30C until 8- 9 pm , and the mosquitos which were absent up to now are able to carry away small dogs! I have to almost brush mine out as they come through the door for all the mozzies they are carrying in. I am so thankful that despite the 'critics' I installed AC a few years ago. I don't want to go outside either.

Its 11c here. Its bloody cold and raining. Can deal with Mosquitoes if I had heat - just jump in the pool. :-) Nathan says its supposed to feel like 40c tomorrow where he is.

Anne: Yeah what a summer - not. :-( I can count on one hand good days for the pool. I can could on hands, feet and everyone else's the extra grooming due to this weather.

I do not think I have recovered from the picnic and packing for Nathan. Time for more grooming. Dogs are soaked. Got to blow out Pepper and Scruffy as they are wet rags going to class with their mommy and Daddy tonight. Maybe I will wait till 645 giving me a half hour for each and keep them inside. ROFL

Sounds like your work never ends... Time for a break... No brushing for anyone for one day.

Perhaps Adele is too warm.. I know that \Nathan must be with a jacket on.

Hope all goes well for the travelers over the next few days.

Its busy but doable. Just not much downtime with the weather. Looking forward to snuggling with dogs in bed. :-)

Yes, think its too hot for Adele.

Darlah: they did really well in class today. Pepper was much improved with her heel sits. She got the clock heel in no time. Scruffy for some reason kept thinking I had the better treats and Roger kept having to redirect him all night but he is great with his heel. Pepper is still a bit skittish with the bigger dogs if they get too close, but she isnt really growling at them. Our walks are better now if we see any approaching dogs first and get her attention redirected. it's a work in progress but getting there.
I think Rob the trainer is in love with her. He told me tonight he thinks she is just gorgeous and he wants to just pick her up and hug her but he doesnt want to scare her so he wont but its killing him....his words. LOL. Don't think she realizes she has a secret admirer :) maybe after the last class he can get his hugs in!

She would kiss him, I am sure. I know its hard on Roger but all that redirecting pays off. If you end up with a perfect heel despite distractions - wow!

I find when dogs are barking that redirect does work and it is a lot of work at first but soon you are doing it without thinking and then its working and you don't even realize.

I think the exposure to the big dogs is so important. Without our Terra and Whitney we have felt it even with our own dogs. Just being in the room each day is amazing consitioning and if she is not barking its already started to work.
