Long Weekend

Dogs played hard today. Tomorrow starts the long weekend.

Here is the gallery.

It's going to get busy and fun. Looks like some rain but warm. We will deal.

My knee is still very much in pain but it gets dull when I take tylenol 1s. I tried Advil for 3 days and couldn't fall asleep. I guess if it remains, after the holiday is over and if Leti doesn't give us puppies, I will get it checked out. I do not want a shot of cortisone. I may have to try acupuncture. I have to try something as this pain is ridiculous. But I can walk up the stairs. Last time this happened I couldn't do stairs so I am thankful. LOL

Willow jumped in the pool today. She was the only one.

We gave everyone these gingerbread cookies that we got at Globals. Only Inula would eat them. She eats anything. Tonight Nathan was sick and couldn't eat his steak so we ground it up and put it in everyone's food today and they were beyond excited about their food.

Tomorrow morning Leti heads to the vets. Dogs come. No one departs and the fun will begin - not that it hasn't already.

Every time I do the blog Spicy lays next to me. I wonder if this is a habit with Anne. Sunday they depart.

I am blessed to have the dogs - truly am. Visitors and my own. can't imagine a world without.

Wonderful gallery. Having knee pain is not fun. Russell has had it for a few years, tried many different types of treatment. Finally his doctor suggested an MRI, actually got the results before our trip: severe arthritis, torn meniscus and a few other things, all in one knee. He will see an orthopaedic surgeon when he returns. Hope you get relief soon. Acupuncture may help depending on what you have.

Spicy likes to follow me around the house so more often than not, she is close by when I do my blog. Sometimes, I look at her and she gives me inspiration for what to write :-)

Years ago I did step aerobics and tried to keep up with others. I hurt this knee. I had cortisone shots and then blue light therapy - crazy stuff. I could not walk up or down the stairs. It finally healed after a month. I was told due to the injury and using cortisone I would have arthritis in my knee. Worse, I walked all over after the cortisone as I didn't feel it and made it worse. They warned me I would have moderate to severe arthritis. I get a nagging pang at times but this is different. It feels like the original injury. It hurts no matter what position but bending my leg actually feels better than having it straight. I am taking tylenol 1s even though I could use 2 threes about now.

With a torn meniscus, he is doing more damage walking around. It's what I did. Hugs to Russell. I have no time or patience for knee surgery but its cause the house would fall apart if I was out of commission for an extended period.

I feel for both you and Russell with this pain you are experiencing. Darlah, you need to get it checked out so you know what you're dealing with and then need your own advice and do what you need to so it doesn't get worse. (You have. Lot of stairs in that house ... both inside and out!)
Yes, a world without dogs would be very sad indeed.

Tylenol doesn't have an anti-inflammatant in it, which you probably need. Have you tried Aleve ? I've been through a knee problem too so know what it feels like. Are you wearing a knee brace - you know those stretchy fabric things ? I found it helped.

I’m so sorry to read about your knee. If you don’t mind coming downtown, I go to SIT Acupuncture at Bloor and Bathurst and they are wizards. I can’t recommend them highly enough for help with pain management. I hope you find relief soon.
