No Gallery Day

This is Mr. Murphy.

It rained off and on today and got really cold. Hard to believe that it was so hot yesterday. I even got a sunburn. Today the pool is off. We have to book the pool closing and we are busy inside.

Dogs still managed to be having fun.

Let's see what I got done today. No to curtains. Realized I only have 1 panel. Now is that a riot or what?

I cleaned the expanded tv room and organized it. Its got frumpy furniture in it but the dogs love it and we have 2 mismatched recliners. One that goes back and one you have to rock and rock to go back. I laugh but I hate it.

Measurements had to be done for the pool house so we can replace the roof and part of the flooring. Home Depot actually cuts it all for you but it takes 2 weeks after order. Nathan is going to be busy as I will be busy with pups. That's okay as I did my dent on the house and then some. We are doing a metal roof so the critters stay out.

I have all the pig rails set up, the whelping boxes organized as well as the supplies for whelping. I bought the things I was missing tonight. Now all I need is plastic hemostats and we are in business. We find the plastic ones are light so will not pull on the cord.

We took in plants. Well, we are still taking in plants. I don't want to talk about it. The guestroom is now clean (was a storage area for puppy supplies and whelping boxes etc. Even the closet is perfect. The puppy room that the pups use at night is now clean but I may put up a few more photos. Closet is organized too. I wanted to paint it and get one colour of linoleum. I now have 2 different designs overlapping each other. I use it to protect the wood flooring. The size room makes the cost approx 185 for 1 sheet of linoleum all one colour so it matches. I will pass. Sorry. May look funky but next time we breed perhaps. This time the car that had to be fixed and the pool house makes us poor. heh

I also finished cleaning one of the bedrooms downstairs and it has two heavy duty racks that holds all the supplies for puppies and dogs. The other bedroom is halfway done and I must start on it tomorrow as Saturday we make another dump run.

The dogs find this all so fascinating. I think they think I am nuts. I always throw toys and work and play and work throughout. It adds to the time but the dogs appreciate it.

Nathan got a massage today as he has been aching. She was trying to get him to be a regular so she did a full tissue massage (he paid for 45 min), cupping, hot stones and she walked on him. He was there for an hour and a half. He paid for 45 minutes. Shall I be worried. I am laughing. He has these red welts on his back from cupping too. He slept for two hours after he got back while I played and organized and cleaned and on and on.

The dogs love, love the expanded tv room. They at first hung out in the original area with the odd dog laying on the couch in the attached room but now they are all over the place. It is nice. As time goes on, we will figure out what works for them. It's also large enough now to play a grand came of retrieve. I am lucky that we have large rooms. It was what attracted us to this house when we bought it.

Hoping for a gallery tomorrow but we shall see. It's important to get these things done before pups. We are already figuring out where to put grow lights. Oh my... I also need some plant stands (looking used) and I am letting a lot die. <sigh> Only so much room.

I set a get everything by September 30th and I missed that date.

You got lots done Darlah! Although it's a lot of work, you must feel good about it. I get why Nathan slept for two hours after 1.5 hour of treatment. His body must have been so relaxed and probably sore too at the same time. I had cupping done in Huntsville, it does leave beautiful red welts :-)

Awww do not despair, Darlah! You got lots done and still have time to get more done before pups! Hang in there.

Anne: I do not think he will get cupping again. The red on his back is mighty sore. maybe by tomorrow....

I like the end result of the work but hate-that it is basically just me and Dennis doing everything except 1 room. Each time Nathan mentions it would be nice to move out to the country, I laugh and tell him he needs to become handy or stay in the city. i wouldn't mind doing this stuff if I wasn't balancing grooming too. I'm only human and soon it will be me doing pups and balancing grooming.

Pippa: hahahaha I am so done but I am not.

Mr. Murphy is adorable. Love his colouring. I am going to get Poppy trimmed a little and then I will try to keep it up. I took her to a confirmation class and she caught on quite well. I of course was tripping over my own feet. The instructors were wonderful and very kind to a beginner but I decided it is just not for me. I will take her for obedience classes as she learns quickly but needs more socialization. She is such a love, and likes to sleep across my chest when I am lying and watching TV.
I hope Nathan feels better soon. There is nothing more frustrating than sore muscles and back aches. You have done such a lot of work this summer and fall. I am hoping you get some time to enjoy your home this winter. Looking forward to seeing the puppies. (by the way, what is the word on the rescue you have? Is there a problem with re-homing?
