Yeah Rainy

I know - you have heard enough about rain from me but this is sky - only the 3rd time of getting in this state so its a clean up with waterless bath and blow dry her out only to get that way yet again. The huys here go - Darlah... Sky and x and x as she is not the only one. I am so glad I love the dogs.

Here is today's gallery.

As you will see in one of the photos with Meadow, a dog ripped the chair cushion. I need industrial chairs. Ignore it when here. I so try to. LOL

I have a friend in Utah who is dealing with sideways snow. Not sure rain, mud or snow is best. Do you know some of our trees still have leaves on them? is that crazy or what?

I have a video of Thunder and Charlie playing that Nathan put on my ipad. May have to send it to Jodi. The dogs are truly making the best of it and don't mind staying inside vs rain and then again you have Sky.

Monday is our anniversary and I may celebrate Sunday instead. Nathan heads out on Tuesday to Florida and he gets a bit crazy about packing. We are heading to Sarpa as I just had dinner with a dear friend there and the experience was so nice from the company, the waiter, the wait staff that I need to share it with Nathan. Memories are important.

Happy Anniversary for Monday. I agree good memories are important.
Sky is beautiful. I do love a soggy doggy!!!
It’s just wet here all the time, even with a little sunshine, there is still rain falling.
The garden is so wet you sink into the soil or rather clay mud.
The grass in the park opposite our house is just mud, wet leaves cover it and bits break off them onto Cals feet. This means a comb and a foot bath after every walk. We have had warnings in other parts of England about “Alabama rot”, so we can’t be too careful.
Best wishes
Sue, Rich & Calleigh x

I love all the pics...Charlie isn't a lover of the rain! I will look forward to the video if you get a chance to send it!

Nathan caught it at the tail end of the play but sent - it was wonderful. Charlie is playing and playing. Not bad for an older guy. :-)

Sue Eng, just read that you have Storm Sebastien happening, wow with the flood warnings. Stay safe.
Seems like a very nice restaurant Darlah, enjoy your dinner and anniversary.💕

Uh oh. Was Meadow caught red-handed? I’ve never seen her even get up on a chair at home!

It was not Meadow. She was up on the chair to eat as Inula thought she could eat her food too and Meadow was letting her. We do not allow stealing of food. Inula knows better.

Thank you Re: the anniversary. We have a running joke. 3 years in a row Nathan took me to the Octagon and before he ate, he was sick each time. I ate by myself. I gave up. Maybe he was allergic to the Octagon.

Sue: Are you okay? I will tell you that we are mud too and we are blessed with lovely clay. One year, before putting in my harden beds we dug down 4 feet and mixed in compost and soil. We still have clay, slick soil in rain. I guess it is better than sand? Poor Calleigh - probably sick of the feet and leg washes like they get here. I put on a grooming jacket and I swear they roll their eyes. Tomorrow back to grooming. They mostly just went out under the gazebos except for Sky and a few others. Dogs just have to have fun and well why not. It gives us memories.

Dorothy: They had pumps and tankers out on the motorway into Manchester today, I had an appointment and was a bit late due to the traffic delays. We are more fortunate in our area than most others, thankfully. The flooding is dreadful, so many homes damaged. I’ve never known weather like this, it gets worse every year.

Darlah: I am ok, I’m having treatment, hurray.
In this house, the builder put a gravel soak away through the gardens right along our road, but they are not well done. The water just collects in great pools and the surface water is just washing everything away or leaving mud!
We used a product called Vitax/clay cure many years ago in a garden in another house we lived in. We haven’t seen it in the garden centre for ages, just nasty chemicals which we don’t use. It was hard work digging and mixing it in but it helped plus we took several tons the clay off beforehand. Not fit enough to dig the garden at the moment.

Sue:

Your health is more important than the garden. Sometimes when the garden is allowed to go wild, you find treasures and new life. Let it all unfold.

Treatment is evil but if the end result means more life... they say worth it. Hugs! You are worth it!
