Heated Day

This is Georgie, a rescue that is 12 that I just picked up. She adapted to the household immediately. She had a bath on arrival and ate her dinner well. The dogs - no problem.... Her mother has dementia. Daughter ended up in hospital so she came into the HFC. She actually is quite lovely! She was in our foster care. Had some teeth removed but still able to eat kibble, no issue. She had a wellness check before teeth surgery and she is healthy. We will be looking for a forever home for her but for now she will be living the life here.

They say we are sitting at a feel like 108f, which is mighty hot. even the pool doesn't feel refreshing. So, I am inside early blogging.

Dogs go out many, many times a day but just for short timeframes. We have now broken the 1953 reacord for the most consistent heat wave. LOL They say to get used to it as we will have more days like this. I feel real bad for people without air. I would be throwing my clothes in the freezer and wearing them cold.

No swimming for the dogs today. We are hoping tomorrow. We shall see. I hope everyone is managing to stay cool.

She looks like a sweetheart.

Ah, she is a cutie. Hopefully she will find a forever home soon.

Nice to see that this sweet little pup has settled in as well as she has at your place. You folks are the best for doing this. She sure couldn't have a better place to stay, and better people to care for her!
