Yellow is NOT My Fave Colour

Stone and Brewer were playing up a storm. It was nice that Dennis finally captured them playing. As there was no gallery yesterday I included them in today's so Murphy is in some photos.

Here is the gallery.

I am tired of yellow snow. Okay, I said it. They said no snow till Friday and no melt in store.

We had a full day. The dogs had fun. I cut down plants inside as white stuff is thriving so down they go. I have no patience. Miss having access to buy orchids or amaryllis. They add fun and a hope of spring. Have to look if they have any in Loblaws. What flowering plants do you have to spirit spring in faster - at least in your mind?

Nathan's having daily episodes. 11 days and counting. Bloodwork Wednesday.

Rebel and Spirit tighter than tight with each other but so is Nami and Stormy but then again she's in love with all. LOL

Today Ellie was here and had a total blast. She's a riot getting into her bag. She goes in by herself. I zip up and put her outside. I close the door and I can hear all excited through the door. It is so funny.Reminds me of Tenshi.

Tomorrow more fun visitors. I am ever so glad!

Christmas cactus finished blooming, an azalea and jasmine houseplant is starting to bloom, but my hibiscus starts to bud but doesn't open, maybe it needs longer sunlight days.
Want me to check out either orchids or amaryllis in bloom? Any specific colour?
Or how about some chicken soup, making a batch of tomorrow.
Can't think of starting seeds for the garden🍅🍆🍓🥬

I bought a lovely lily plant at Sobey’s last week.

I have a beautiful Peace Lily that’s doing well! Seems fitting in these times. Also, many old orchids beginning to bloom again. I find Metro, at least in my area have the most beautiful and diverse assortment of orchids. My go to now!

I agree Darlah. Plants and flowers 🌸 help to brighten the days. 🌞

You can really see in the photos Rebel and Spirit’s connection. Love the photo of Murphy in “her” crate.

Peace Lily is quite appropriate. Shannon perfect for brightening up one's mood.

Dorothy:
Hibiscus needs to rest to a degree in the winter for magnificent blooms come spring, summer. You can give it a jump start closer to spring but I cut mine back, fertilize and let growth come back around march. Some prune come spring for late summer colour display. I prefer spring. This way by the time they are ready to put out they have blooms starting to come. My Canna Lilys are cut way back and left in their pots. I used to dig them up to store but found leaving in the pots made them produce better. Growth on mine at the moment are about 2 inches above ground in pots. The bulbs need to store energy vs spending it on growth. The christmas cactus - haven't had one in years is magnificent as it gets older. I like any colour amaryllis but white. If you find any, let me know. Saved up tips for mood uplifting plants. LOL

The hibiscus is my mom's, must be 40 years old, I do prune it severely, just would like some blossoms now. Mom had lots of Christmas cactus and violets, I did lots of their maintenance.
My cannas, I dig them up, dry them off in the garage, shake most dirt off and dump them in yard waste bags and place in cool basement. I usually just plant them directly in the yard, they get massive with tons of flowers which once bloomed I prune off and more blooms come, till frost. The hummingbirds love the red colour.
The azalea is 1 I saved from the neighbors, i used to have LOTS for the house for years but then I changed the soil and they all died😭 1 was over 15 years old and 2ft high and 3ft wide, people would be stunned if they saw them in the house.
I need a bigger house🤣

Dorothy: You made me laugh and I needed that today. Nathan has been in bed more than up today. I just saw your offer for soup. I want to pay you for it. You make incredible chicken soup.

It's now finished cooking, just cooling down to take off the excess schmaltz. Sorry, but only used carcass bones, not a whole chicken but should be able to find lots of meat.
Would you like noodles or matzo balls? Also what time for delivery?🥣
