Visits in the House

A day of chill and a day of play...

First of all I want to thank Ronnie and Elana for sharing Rusty and Luna with us. They came bearing gifts and brought us their duo. Rusty played with Stone and Spirit mostly. Luna played with all. Interesting enough Rusty was always aware of her.

Here is the gallery.

Nathan has only been up today when Ronnie and Elana came otherwise as he has said there isn't a moment of the day that I feel okay. I feel bad for him. We go for blood tests for him tomorrow. They have not given us a covid date. That is a necessary step if they are going to move ahead with surgery.

Nathan and puppies - he so loves the dogs!

As you know we are going into Stay Home mode in Ontario. I again had to call Ford's office and yes I can still board and groom but exchanges are reduced to 5 people outside. So nothing has changed for us.

I saw an inkling of snow but as fast as I saw it the snow went. Oh well - didn't want to drive tomorrow in a snowstorm but oh we need snow, imho. Do you feel the same? Powdery snow - not the snowball kind.

I am not sure what it is with this winter but I feel cold in the house all the time and I believe it is the dampness. The dogs are now joining me under multiple blankets at night.

Brewer must be loving this weather as he is so full of it. Cool - damp gets the dogs moving? Do you find that to be true?

Rebel and Cinnamon LOVED LOVED LOVED Luna coming today. Thank you for that!

Are you allowed to groom because you board ? My groomer has been shut down since Boxing day since she believed she had to. She's just in a house doing one dog at a time so it is definitely low risk. Rebekka so needs a haircut !!!

Maureen: Not sure but likely. I think it is frustrating as clarity is certainly needed for all. It is why I called. I have quite a few front line people that work long hours. I also called due to Nathan and the chances they will delay surgery. I was told it depends on the numbers next week.

Darlah thank you so very much for all you’ve done. The “kids” are beautiful. Even Luna as adorable as she is looks even better. Rusty is neat and tidy for a little bit and so handsome. Luna was completely exhausted and couldn’t keep her head up. It was so funny. And Rusty was very content to spend the day with all his friends. It was lovely to see you and Nathan and I look forward to the summer when we can sit in their garden and have a cappuccino and a few laughs. Hopefully this will be over.

Lovely pictures. I wish you were closer so Watson could play with Rebel and company. He is sending kisses.

Maureen: In asking and exploring and calling yet again as I certainly don't want to be fined, as I am a regular boarder before the pandemic started and board for a number of front line workers, I am able to groom with strict guidelines. Those that do not board and those that board but do not have front line workers as their clients can't groom till Feb 12th. I am still going to lay low as it will certainly get someone not able to angry and that is not my intent. As someone with limited funds now going on how long since covid started, I am acutely aware and saddened that others are feeling the pinch in a great way yet again. I also feel immensely sad for those that are not able to groom and I have a few clients that can't due to MS and other health related limitations. This is certainly crazy as dogs do need to be groomed. They get mats and its not like us that can handle not getting our hair done. sigh - once again...
