Snow Coming?

Here is the gallery.

I got the dogs out myself was Nathan was running errands and Dennis was sleeping. Now Nathan is sleeping. I need to wait till 10pm as Dennis will go back to bed so he can stay up all night. Our bodies are adjusting.

Dogs were out and I didn't do cleanup as time was an issue so when Dennis got up, he did cleanup which is important daily but especially before the snow hits. Will it be a big storm? Who really knows.

While Nathan was out, I combed out a bunch and watched the pups on the ipad and went back and forth. I changed waters and pads and made lunch for those that needed lunch.

I did manage to upload videos, do blogs, laundry and put food away. We got a costco order in via instacart and it was fast. Not sure how extra it cost but at this point it was a necessity. The guy was masked and nice. It was a must for this timeframe. Plus Nathan being lost in Costco he may never get back. LOL I did get my pistachios - yum. It's a great snack but my body is now revolting and I do not want to eat a thing.

I am giving the moms extra help - the odd pup that doesn't find the milk station. I will weigh them again at 7pm - may start at 630pm.May need to. Nami's is very easy to figure out all being different.

Coco the havanese and Coco the maltese is here. Harlow was rubbing her body in the snow. Chase was happy to be here.

Ruth is very ill. She no longer recognizes anyone and is getting dialysis daily. Send prayers for her and for Bonnie's granny who are in need of them. Katie is having a good time. Bonnie is too. I brushed Bonnie first thing daily since she arrived. Nathan gets yet another covid booster on Saturday. I get mine next month. We continue. Knock on wood - no covid here and no sickness of any sort but we are careful. I can't have Nathan get sick.

Dogs are having fun. I smile when they do. That is how I can do all of this - smiles are so important!

Sorry About That: Gallery Added

No gallery or update of much as we are still on wait with Nami. Bubble here but no progress yet. It will be soon but just can't walk on water. Stay tuned to tomorrow as I will try to make up for it.

Bonnie is here and doing really well with everyone. Bonnie's mom, mom is in hospital. Ruth is still in hospital. It's hard times.

Panda is here awaiting her mom. Logan had surgery today to remove a growth in his mouth that made it hard for him to even drink. They removed it and sent it out for biopsy. We are hopeful all will be well.

We are emotionally drained but it is life and we have not eaten. I have lost 4lb since Hallie. can you believe?

We do have a gallery.

Sorry - it's been a day. See Nami's blog.

It's Inside and Outdoor Play

Here is the gallery.

No one but Amy that was departing gets combed out today but will be either tonight or tomorrow. It will depend on Nami.

Everyone is doing well and having a ton of fun.

Dolly amd Trouble no longer mind Chai who kept trying to get them to play with her but they both play with her now. She is a persistent thing.

Daisy departed and so did Ellie.

Laundry is almost done. There is ton after a birth. Nathan forgot about it so I finished after I got up. I got about 3 hours sleep. Hoping Nami waits till DAYTIME tomorrow. These all nighters are a killer. I got the least amount of sleep so I am pacing myself - 3 hours in 28 hours. We are getting takeout from Wimpys. Just have no food in house and no stamina. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Dennis will eat and go to bed till 10pm when he takes over for the night. All pups are doing well.

I wish Nathan had bought food - quick cook food to tied us over for a few days but he didn't.

As I type and we await delivery for food, the dogs are hanging out with either Dennis in the kitchen, the hall or the tv room. Most relish the tv time after play.

Where is that big storm again?

Katie is here and Ruth is in hospital since last night. Her caretaker brought her to us as we were whelping. It was impossible for us to get her.  She was having difficulties breathing. Say a prayer for her, please.

Small Gallery

I apologize - small gallery today. It has been too busy to click and it is more important to spend time with the dogs plus Willow needs to be watched as her temps have dropped - a true drop. So, we are in wait.

Dogs are still going in and out. Dennis tried to do a run game outside but slipped. He is now in bed resting.

We only have a few visitors here now. Harlow - who sits on the seat up high in the tv room and thinks ground beef with a sprinkle of cheese is to die for.

Trouble and Dolly are enjoying the outdoors more that it is not too cold. Tenshi likes to eat up high and Nathan indulges her. The things we do for dogs.

I got everyone brushed out today in case tomorrow I can't. So, extra extra busy for me. Think I will put Willow on my lap and watch the rest of a tv show. I am now watching The Imperfects - sort of scary, I think though haven't decided and Ginny and Georgia not scary but well you have to watch and tell me what you think. I also finished We Have a Ghost which was fun. The things I do when I groom. The dogs seem to like the distraction and the noise.

Till tomorrow... Willow needs me. Nathan has the dogs and started dancing with them. I will let you imagine that!

They Say Rest

Here is the gallery.

When on wait for little ones, you do crazy things. They say relax. Don't worry but this morning I lined comb all dogs - even short haired ones in case I can't comb one day. This way when teh day happens and I skip a day - no worries.

Logan, Panda, Daisy and Fudge departed today. All dogs had an extreme amount of fun. Everyone - even the oldie - stop irritating me I am a senior now love Chai. I am not sure why but there is something about her. I think the key is she listens where some pups just insist. She also plays with Sage tug every single day and mauls Misty. She thinks both are her moms. Funny how that happens when you have moms bringing them up together.

I do not know about you but lately we are cleaning the yard constantly so if I missed something in clicking - sorry. It happens. Each day, many times a day we clean up but the yellow is well yellow. Apologies. It is the drawback of taking many photos and not having time to edit.

In our tv room we always have nice warm blankets and we take the inserts out of the dog beds to warm them up in the dryer. That is silly, I know but dogs deserve to be spoiled and they love it after a wet play session outdoors. Remind me why I comb and then they go out and play?

Just looked outside and wow is it snowing.

I got a new press today. Had to. The other one died. I have some orders to do and well can't do much without one. It's not a high end one. Who can afford that but it's a medium priced one. It has less features than my last but they no longer make my old press. I loved it so. Now to learn how to manually apply pressure and write it all down. Turn knob right x times, turn knob left x times depending on what you are pressing. I have yet to try it but we did manage to get 85lb of it out of the box and on the table and plugged in. I vow to test it today unless Nami or Willow has other things in mind. So far temps are down for both but not down far enough. They HATE me taking temps. I do not blame them.

An interesting thing happened today. Dennis did the hide the treat game and Dolly showed Trouble where it was. Get this - she shared - bonus! I always enjoy seeing how their minds work. Harlow has a nose - well it must be a good one as she always manages to get most. These are chicken treats that I dehydrate myself. My late friend Lynda gave me a dehydrator and I only do dog things in it. Go figure. I find if you take fresh chicken and dehydrate it, no one gets an upset tummy and they LOVE it more than the bought packaged one s with preservatives but of course you make them and they must be used quickly. In this house it is the same day and most will go near the machine and sniff.

I often put things in my calendar online to remind this feeble mind of stuff. Today a nag saying clean BBQ came up. Really? Do you do the same?

Relationships

Here is the gallery.

This is Trouble and Panda. They seem to still know each other special relationship - mom and daughter- how nice. It got a little bit warmer. Dolly and Trouble didn't like how cold it was. They were not the only ones so today was the day to go in and out.

I am still a bit fried from the all nighter but mom and pups are doing well and Dennis little by little is setting up internet. He is fried too and soon will be in bed so he can do all night duty.

Let's see - over the last couple of days my heatpress died and by sublimation bypass died. The heatpress is not in warranty. I found a replacement but the price is not pretty. Everything has gone up. Bypass I am fighting with them. Google says 2 years - they say 1 year.

As we are not sure on Nami and Willow, I did tomorrow departure groomings today. My luck is tomorrow would arrive and we would be whelping so groomings couldn't happen. It's a juggling - no sleep experience. I am not sure I was up to it today but feel better it is done so I am not worried - will I fit it in tomorrow.

Noah, Zoe, Murphy departed and Fudge arrived. Logan, Panda and Fudge depart tomorrow. Please no pups tomorrow - please! I can't even put the whelping supplies in the right box as I am not sure who is 1st. LOL

The dogs last night was so ecstatic we went to bed. Tonight hoping we have a full night though I will sleep light depending on Nami and Willow's actions.

Oh my gad are Hallie's pups wonderful and strong. I will take weighs at 7pm. Maybe I can figure out who is who?

Let the Snow Glee Begin

Here is the gallery.

Oakley just went home and he looked ever so tired, almost glassy eyed. When mom came to get him, he was jumping and running in and out of the snow. He was tired. I bet he's napping now.

The dogs had a fun day - well it is not over but they are napping as I type. They had such a blast with Dennis outside. He gets them going and they so love it.

Lola has departed. Poor thing sinks in the snow much like Saffron and Kinsey does. She was happy to see her daddy.

Tomorrow Bell comes once again to try to set up our high speed internet. You remember they couldn't do it 2 months ago and yesterday we got a call tomorrow or April. Your issue has been resolved. Nathan says what if we are having pups? Well, we will juggle? We will let you know how it goes. Dennis will be happy. Something about online videos games and uploading and downloading speeds increasing does his heart good. Hey, I still remember 300 baud modems. :-)

I have not started taking temps of the moms to be. I gather I will tomorrow.

Till then, it best not be tomorrow as I have a lot of dogs departing that need grooming. We shall see.

Oh and Hallie may be having puppies today.

Puppies Are Delightful

Here is the gallery.

We were delighted to have Chai's sister here, Ruby. Check out the videos. There are 2 of them.

Dogs enjoyed the snow today.

Nathan has his day off. The van is fixed so he went and got food. We so needed some. He bought a roast thinking I would cook it. I said after pups. He was hopeful. I get that. We don't have the gravy or potatoes or veggies to go with it so it is in the freezer. It will be a treat after. It takes time to cook. Dogs will enjoy it too.

Dealing with a broken printer and companies - well let's just say who wants to replace so no sublimation, at the moment.

Not sure the blankets I got for the new moms to be work but hopefully they will. If not, we will take photos on them and then use the existing ones. We have a ritual of sorts that each new litter gets a brand new blanket that no one else has used.

I think I am finished setting up for pups to come.

Dogs played a fun game of hide and seek. They are tv watching, at the moment.

Harlow LOVES breakfast sausages. Most of the dogs do but not all.

I have to go brush out a few dogs so this is it... We are on wait.

Emmy departed - she will be missed. Lola has arrived for overnight.

Let Me In

Here is the gallery.

Do we have snow. As this was Dennis day off, I didn't shovel out in the back. It needed it but I had a day. Nathan can't shovel as he had a heart attack. Dennis was off so I went out in front and shovelled the driveway and entry way. It was heavy snow and our electric snow shovel wouldn't pick it up as it was too heavy. So, with shovel in hand, I took one shovel full at a time and threw it into the yard. I was sweating under my coat. I had sweat on my face. I thought of stopping many times.

To add insult to injury, our van had no heat in it. Soto the mechanics it went. Our other van is dead and needs to be towed. So, Nathan brought it in and ubered home. He didn't have an uber app so he installed that and used it. He was impressed. Then he waited and ubered back when the van was done. All I could think is no car and a gal delivers. Was anxiety filled but gald it is fixed. If we had an emergency, can't have a mom and pups in an unheated car and besides can't even put on defrost. Nathan was so frazzled he forgot the alcohol we needed to soak the hemostats in. Tomorrow...

Some of the dogs thought this white stuff was wonderful. Some said let me back in and some said - really you want me to go out in THAT?

Then Dennis, on his day off went out to shovel the driveway. What - you said you did that. Yes, I didn't do a good enough job. Can you believe?

Astro and Tenshi departed. Bailey is departing in 45 minutes. Harlow arrived. Despite the white stuff and well me carrying more than my usual weight, the dogs had fun and that makes me happy. But let's hope on nathan's day off tomorrow, hallie doesn't cut his day off short.

I still have to put their photos on the whelping boxes tonight but we are almost ready. Baby Bell cheese and vanilla ice cream and starter mousse is all set. I just need alcohol. It gives Nathan an excuse to go out.

Yesterday was crazy as I cleaned and organized as well as get xpens up with cameras, heat lamps, towels etc. It's been a heck of a 2 day experience but when I crawl into bed and the dogs - mine and visitors won't stop licking me - essentially keeping me up - I smile. Hope you have smiles with yours too.

Let There Be Snow

Here is the gallery.

I had issues with my hosting site so I am late plus we are getting things organized and setup for pups. See their blogs.

Astro really really likes Chai. Too bad she is going home tomorrow. Tenshi departs tomorrow too.

Sylvia and William brought us some truly outstanding food. I must know where they got it. Yum!

I have a ton to do tonight as Dennis is off tomorrow. That means I need to help him and tomorrow I will probably be doing the finishing touches.

The dogs are really loving this snow and so far no snowballs on their coats - hooray!

How much snow will we get? You tell me.

So who won the right total for pups?

Will it Snow?

Here is the gallery.

Will it snow more? They say that it will. Dogs were loving the snow flying and then it stopped.

We have xrays for 2 moms. Nami had hers today.

Although we had a lot of time outdoors, well there is no place like home. LOL

I need to get whelping supplies ready. Fun... not! Too much to do. What is new?

Will it Melt?

Here is the gallery.

It is melting out there but not fast. Sherry took me to the Dollar Tree (was closed - who knew) and to Markville (very busy) so I did get my break before pups. It has been a long time since I got out. She said xrays for the girls this week. I forgot. LOL

Dogs are about to eat as I type.

Some have departed. Some have arrived.

Still can't safely do the run game outdoors with the ice. We have indoors.

I found Brady - who departs tonight burrowing into a freshly done blanket. Yes, Dennis found another and washed. It's interesting how much they enjoy fresh cleaned blankets that are still warm.

Jeannie has decided to get between the sheets at night and sleep waist level. I worry about her breathing but I place 2 pillows under the sheets so she has air pockets. After all these years, I am not sire what posessed her to do this but we are on day 3. She seems delighted.

Do your dogs do the unusual? Let me know!

Still Icy

Here is the gallery.

Still icy out there. Here's to success. We just cleaned all the bedding, all the dog beds and all the blankets. It only took 2 days. I hope Dennis get this idea to do this again next week. LOL. We do clean but we do it in stages - not in a 2 day marathon. Who does that?

Mr. Ollie departed. Charlie, Harlow and Jasper departs. It's almost end of Family Day. One more day.

The dogs are delighted to have warm, clean blankets in the tv room. They are rubbing themselves in. LOL

Almost time for run and games.

Me, I am off to do Harlow so she can depart on time.

Saturday

Yikes

Here is the gallery.

Look who is rolling on the ice.

We have had a long day. It is still long. Dennis gets into sterilizing everything every now and then. Today he stripped all bed, dogs and humans and I have done laundry since 7am and I am still doing laundry. I have so far done 11 loads of laundry and the dog beds are next. The 12th load is now in the washer. LOL I even have a timer set on my phone to tell me the laundry needs to be moved on.

The ice is really solid out there as it got a bit colder. The dogs do not mind, as you can see.

We have a full house as it is Family Day weekend. Dogs are loving the relationships they build. It is quite fun to watch.

I am watching a STUPID show on the Disney channel called Baby Doll. Not sure why or how I got into watching it but I am determined to finish it despite how well - not for me it is.

Everyone and I mean everyone is having fun. Harlow thinks Noah shoots the moon. I am fascinated at how fascinated she is with him. Relationships - human and canine are interesting!

Icy Out There

Here is the gallery.

This is Mr. Ollie standing on his back legs. I have to keep cleaning up his underside daily as he loves to muck it up. Makes you laugh. He's a boy through and through and he is not the only one.

I put up weights for the pregnant gals. Let me know if you are surprised.

It is mighty icy. Nathan had to go to the vet today with 2 of their dogs - well he didn't have to. He wanted to to get them acquainted with our local vet. It was so busy as I guess this is the long weekend. Who knew? Every day is family day here!

Dogs are heavily playing. Dennis did the run game with them. They were crazy excited. He didn't dare do it outside as it was icy so indoors was more than fine.

It was a great day!

After a great run, warm lamb, Fromms and Stella and Chewy bacon was received well by the dogs - smacking their lips.

By the way, I am doing these glass pieces and selling them. It doesn't have to be dogs but anything you desire. They are quite unique. I still do slate as well.

Get Together

Here is a small gallery.

Today we have the brothers together - Ollie and Lachlan. How fun is that?

The dogs are enjoying indoors more than outdoors.

The siblings are happy to see each other. Astro joined in. Miss Mia was telling them how to play.

Life is fun. Not much to report today other than the dogs are having fun to a high degree. That makes me happy.

I am Melting

Here is the gallery.

It is wet outside. It is Dennis day off and well not many photos but from this room to the next and in the kitchen, they always find nice comfort to relax when they get to be a motley mess from the melt. I then go one by one to comb them out.

Ollie departed tonight and Stormy, who is his mom was all over Rochelle - his human mom giving her kisses. She is such a friendly dog. Her and Ollie get along famously still after all this time.

Benji is about to depart anytime now. Me - I just finished grooming so I am now blogging. Nathan made a steak and funny how all the dogs are sitting around me staring at me. I wonder what THEY want?

It is nice to have warmer weather but the dogs certainly get a mess as we had rain this morning then meltdown.

Oh and that pillow behind in this photos says, I Sleep with Dogs. I like a sense of humour when I create things.

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We really did nothing and had bad fast food. Here's to next year. The dogs te very well. We have our priorities.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is the gallery.

It's valentine's day and all of you that have significant others and/or havanese have the love of your life. Do something special for those you love. It can be a tiny thing but making someone - yes that includes your havanese, happy is a wonderful feeling.

We were going to get the Keg but they are doing just a Valentine's Day menu so we opted not. They also couldn't do a pickup till 930pm. We didn't want to waste our gift certificates and we go to bed at 10. Instead we are getting food court fast food - yuck but everyone is busy.

We have Bailey and Tenshi visiting. They got an extra warm meal tonight. Dennis Put warm beef broth in the meal with ground meat and they ate it as if they were starved. I even had dogs dancing for their meal. They could smell it. I so love making them happy. Dennis was pleased that his extra effort was warmly received. You see, that is what it is about. You feel good that an extra effort is enjoyed. Ms Harlow was twirling.

Hope everyone relaxes or has moments that feel good. It's not about a holiday. It's about creating smiles!

Oh and that is Chai above. She was chilling. I guess she is comfortable with her environment. She now weighs a whopping 5lb. She loves to eat. We caught her eating a paper roll from tthe inside of my vinyl. It is pretty dense so I thought she would just play with it. No, she was eating it. I took it away and she proceeded to vomit it all up. Then she ate her whole meal. Those rolls are NOT for her. My adults play with them without eating. Not her.

Snow Disappears

Here is the gallery.

We do not do anything for Valentine's Day since one year we went to a Japanese restaurant that was rather crowded and a guy started screaming at Nathan saying he purposely bumped into his girlfriend. That guy sat at our table - joy not. So, now we try to celebrate just before - as in today.

We are off to a movie at a movie theatre I do not like but it has HDR for Avatar. It seems there are only 5 of us in the theatre at this time so that is cozy. It's a long movie too. Can I bring a blanket and snooze? LOL

Today is my day off. I tend to try to do something I enjoy on that day. I have snuggled with the dogs. I have not groomed. Tomorrow I play catchup.

Thank you to wonderful people we genuinely adore, we have chocolate from Bali to enjoy and a gift certificate to the Keg so we can do takeout. Yes, we save for special moments.

Nathan overcooked some chicken so I dehydrated it and the dogs will have that for valentine's day. Can't waste.

Dogs seem to be curious about the white stuff disappearing.

Maki has disappeared. Okay - he went home and he was excited.

Poor Ruth spent her birthday in hospital. She is now home and so is Katie.

When Dennis plays VR games, the dogs watch in awe and seem to guide themselves around his movements. It's funny. I think it would make a wonderful video but Dennis is having none of that. That's okay. I remember it and can tell the stories.

Moms are massively big.

Hope everyone is not sick and is enjoying life - their dogs and well creating memories.

It was Russell's birthday yesterday - Spice and Cooper's dad so we send albeit late a happy birthday to him!

So Icy

Here is the gallery.

If your dogs are slipping and sliding then take them indoors. You do not want them injuring themselves.

Maki is a moving target on the grooming table so each time I comb him, I cut off a little more. He departs tomorrow. By now, he is getting better on the table. The more you groom, the more they know what to expect and the calmer they get when they are whirling on the table. anot all are. Some are as they feel they can control figuring you will give up. I always comb and snuggle and kiss them up. It pays off and besides you are doing them a favour and doing yourself one at the end of the conditioning. Maki, I have seen a huge change.

The dogs are playing and playing and playing. It's wonderful and they enjoy the outdoors when there is no rain.

Ms. Chai goes for her 2nd shot tomorrow. She has adjusted well. It took her a bit as she is an independent soul but she is also a creature of habit and Nathan has been exposing her. In another week, I will wash her again.
