Here is Misty, Sage and Sage's baby Pepper, Misty tried to take over Pepper. It is hilarious so we also had just mom time with her and Pepper was DELIGHTED.

The dogs are enjoying the cooler weather though it did heat up. This morning was sweats weather and its as if the dogs went awwwww now this is the weather we adore!

I think Pepper things Rebel is a wee puppy as she jumps all over her and Rebel relishes the attention. She is a great puppy. She let me comb her out, do her pads and just stood there and said - ok what's next?

Ziggy and DJ are our only visitors after Pepper departs. 

The dogs keep seeing squirrels and barking. I wonder if they are in storage mode? The squirrels that is - not the dogs.

Here is the Rebel. As you saw yesterday, I had brushed her out and she was an absolute mess. Today I gave her a bath and here she is attempting to destroy everything I did. One has to laugh. Astro was here and departed today - a puppy and she was trying to do the same. This is what makes the havanese so endearing.

Ellie also departed and was playing quite a bit with Astro. Check it out in the video. Ellie has such a sensational upbeat personality.

Ms Murphy and Reggie departed. I heard Reggie was over the moon happy to see his human. He had a blast but the best part is happy to play and stay and happy to go home. Perfect world, I say!

Ms Astro's human gave us a lovely dessert. Never had it before. Do not know what it is but boy good! Thank you!

End of the holiday weekend. Kids will be in school. Oh boy - changes for many. 

Mr. Benny departed today. For an old guy he sure acts like a kid. He sure likes to eat too. I do too so I get that!

Tomorrow Ms Pepper comes for the day. I am so excited. 

Hot Day But Windy

Here is a small gallery. Rebel was rolling all over, I have to comb her back out. She makes me laugh.

Mr Reggie runs around and loves chasing the rabbits that show up every now and then.

DJ is having the time of his life. It is rare that we see him as he lives in Calgary. I feel blessed that he is here.

Miss puppy Astro departs tomorrow and she will be missed. She is such a fun puppy.

Ms Murphy has decided she likes outside and the couch the best. Ms Ellie jumps and jumps and jumps. One has to laugh. Mr Benny a senior oh you have food... lol He sure likes to eat. Then there is Ziggy who embraces life like he was just asked to go to a party and well he's in his element. Love the dogs...

They make me smile!

Fun Play Day

This was Oakley and Ziggy. Playing was the operative word today with everyone. Ziggy is here for a few weeks and it's been awhile. We are so excited to see him.

Finnegan, Oakley, Bailey, Archie, Meadow and Diamond departed. Murphy, Ziggy and Archie arrived. Tenshi departs shortly. Do you have that all straight? LOL I so relish seeing the dogs. It is like having gifts each day. Hard to explain but I get so excited to see each.

Everyone is enjoying themselves. The couches are draped with dogs - well some are there - some are with me. 

Now to sit down with the dogs and watch Martin Short with Steve Martin in a TV show. 

Labour Day Weekend Fun: Comments Now Working

Coco, Vivi and Shlomo departed today. All had a great amount of fun. We have a new dog visiting today called Oakley and he is doing rather well. Adele and River also arrived. 

Our pool chlorinator is not working. It either needs a new cell or a new unit. It is too late in the season to fix it so we will just throw bromine in. Right now it's got algae in it. Yuck. Good thing its not hot. This is the year of things breaking. 

Thank you goes to Coco's mom for the muffins. Yum! 

People are going away and they have plans through Christmas season. I surely hope we have snow this winter. Yes, I said it. I like the dogs having fun in powder snow. I hate the cold though and teh driving in it. 

This is Nathan's day off. Yes, he had 2 this week if you are counting but he had none last week. LOL

What is he doing? Lazing outside with the dogs. It is the best. 

Now to start feeding the dogs.

Today Kally (this play monkey will be missed) and Murphy boy departs (hope recovery from flood is going well). Gucci was also here (she was great on grooming table) and Coco older one departs today. Well Coco is always great on table. Reggie arrived. Did you follow that?

The dogs are really having a blast. It is interesting who they choose to play with at a given moment. You watch the play bow, the request to play and then it goes into full play.

The dogs had a truly outstanding day! I did too watching them.

Dennis had a terrible migraine but click he did. The dogs dragged in dirt and what have you into the kitchen but I didn't mind. Floors can be cleaned but fun - well it is important!

Memories Good and Bad

Pablo was here today and I heard from his mom about the last time he was here how her purse, Pablo was in the car and Pablo stood on the lock and she couldn't get in. Thankfully it was a cooler day but a costly one. She can tell it better but if I was me, I would have been crying.

Mr. Pablo was a moving target on the table. Never is usually but boy was he full of it. I had to laugh and laugh.

Dogs enjoyed the less than muggy day. I groomed and groomed. Ms Ellie departed and oh boy is she a player. I wonder if she is at home tuckered out.

We are in puppy heaven here. They are all having a great deal of fun! Maybe I will go outdoors and chill with the dogs.

Smell Festival

Panda departed. Rosey departed. So did Charlotte and Jaime. Did I spell that right?

In about 10 minutes I am out for dinner with Ronnie and Elana. I made a few things for Elana and I am hoping she likes them.

The dogs have had it with this heat. It still is hot and thought it would go after the rain but it is starting to cool off at night. Does that mean fall? Please no.... not yet.

We have a puppy crew here right now. It is delightful. They all seem to so enjoy each other. They are already missing Rosey.

The dogs are having fun today!!!

When All Else Fails

It was so completely muggy here today that although the dogs went out, they came in soon after. This is Panda cooling off on the vent. Have to laugh. She also walked into the pool so I had to clean her up a bit and dry her out. She is a strong swimmer too.

Murphy arrived. They had a 6 or may 8 week renovation and one of the water pipes they put in burst so now they are redoing the renovation. Guess those contractors lost on this job. Got to do it right.

Luna and Dante depart tonight just before bedtime.

I literally groomed from 7am sharp to 5pm today with no break. I am tired. Tommorrow I do the same but then I head out to diner with Ronnie and Elana. That will be fun. It's Elana's birthday.

Lola, Lily and Maui departed today. Teddy was also here for a groom in time for mom to get home. Bravo!

We also have a visitor gaining confidence by the minute that may be staying with us on holidays.

It's Nathan's day off tomorrow and Friday as he didn't have one last week.

I didn't even go outside today not step into the pool. For shame.

But I did have dogs with me while grooming so I felt like I saw non full groomed dogs too.

Guys - it's almost the end of August. Oh boy... too fast!

2 Post Day

I have been having major difficulties with the galleries so I am delayed tonight.

Tomorrow, Dante, Luna, Lola, Maui and Lily depart. It is a crazy busy grooming day but we will get it done. :-)

5 Years Old

Hi Darlah and Nathan

It's a big day for Sadie and all her littermates as they turn 5 years old today.  Wishing all of Saffron's first litter of babies a very happy fifth birthday!

What a Dental Day LOL

The dogs played and played and 13 dogs got their teeth done. Roxie, Sage and Misty was one of them and what a magnificent job. We are so pleased.

Dorothy was here with Pixie and Leo so it was wonderful to see her. Come back. there's a heck of a lot of wine he didn't give you. I knew I should have collected it.

Lucy the doodle has departed and as you will see in the gallery she was playing up a storm with Rebel.

It was supposed to be my day off but with all the craziness and me organizing everything as lord knows who else can do it, my day off is tomorrow. I truly need it.

On Monday night off to the Keg with Ronnie and Elana. It's her birthday. A girls night celebration.

They tell me the comments are working. Please test it.

The dogs had an outstanding day today. It was cooler. You could tell they were excited that it wasn't so hot.

So Hot Then Rain Still Hot

Here is Ripley running and enjoying himself before it just got so hot that it was unbearable. I did not get many photos as it was just me taking photos. I went from grooming to watching the dogs while Nathan napped to blogging then back to grooming as Harlow departs tonight - so does Ripley.

Lucy and I got into a groove today with combing her out. She was giving me kisses. She's eating well. She is playing but do not think she liked the thunder today.

Nathan did manage to get a video of Luna and Dante.

Between Dante, Rosey and Ellie, they are the play monkeys that seem to get all going. It is quite nice to watch. Off to do Harlow. We will miss her!

Really Hot

This is Brewer lazing in the sun despite it being hot then this afternoon he went really?The dogs are ENJOYING the air conditioning. Another hot one coming tomorrow then rain on my day off - of course.

Lucy today is playing with more dogs. She especially likes Ellie.

Our pool has lost so much water and not sure why but we are replenishing it now. It may be evaporation.

Do not complain to me about havanese hair knotting, Lucy, the Doodle, I hug her and she gets mats. Doodles are known for that and so far its a 2 hour groom session per day and I still feel knots starting on her neck. She departs on Friday and that's my day off so it is up to Nathan to do the final combout.

Ms Nava is here for the day. Brewer is too and took over his recliner. He is not here as much since he moved but he has his comfort - it's all mine spots. LOL

Nathan has had downpours at the dog show he is stewarding at. Heat, double masked and rain. Sounds like a black cloud over his head.

The dogs are having a total blast. Dennis is doing the tun game inside and they are loving it!

New Visitors

Here is Lucy and Simba. Lucy is not a havanese but she's not much larger. She is still a pup. She has an unfair advantage as when Dennis does the run after him game, her legs have an unfair advantage. All the dogs welcomed her. She wasn't sure at first but she started to connect with Luna and Dante who she knows and with a number of other dogs. She is fitting in nicely with all. Now she is getting to know Nathan who arrived home a bit ago. She connected with Dennis and I well. Tomorrow is Nathan's last day. Don't message him as he doesn't check his phone even for me. LOL I do check his email.

Here is the gallery. I vow I will get more action photos tomorrow but its HOT out there and the dogs are feeling it. We play a great deal indoors but more difficult to capture. Still, you can see that all is enjoying each other.

Ozzie, Willow and Daisy departed. Simba arrived.  No pool for dogs today. I got in 15 minutes after grooming. It felt so hot I was afraid I would toast. Dennis watered the plants twice and placed huge ice balls into the insulated water dishes always maintaining the cool and I bet the dogs appreciated that.

No new dogs going in or out tomorrow except Nava for a day visit. Thursday is Dennis day off.

The Heat and Play is On

We did go out and in but all and all the dogs really did not want to be out in the heat for long. It's that hot. That's okay as they have a wonderful amount of fun indoors and the sun will go down. LOL

Poor Truffie needs a brushout. He was playing his heart out but he will wait till morning. If a mess, they are having fun. hahaha Especially since I combed them out this morning.

Ozzie departs tomorrow. He will sleep and sleep after how much he played. Willow - comes for play and grooming. Lucy and Daisy too. Nathan is out for the next 2 days. He's home at night. We will have fun.

Heat will remain.

I am so delighted to be seeing dogs i have not seen forever and a day - or at least it feels that way.

The Play

It may have been a really heated day but the dogs still had fun. A number departed. A number will depart tomorrow and a few will remain.

Nathan and Dennis tell me the dogs had a tremendous time today. I started grooming at 7am and finished this evening. I even ate while I groomed. Oh boy... I am hoping for a shorter day tomorrow and get some pool time in. We shall see.

But the dogs don't mind as come bedtime I get to snuggle with them!

Dogs had a tremendous amount of fun. I have a tummy ache and had lots to groom - same tomorrow - hopefully minus the tummy ache. That is why it is taking me so long with the blog.

I did get a video up of Leo and Ozzie.

We do have a semi full house but that means a lot of play and new and old relationships going on with the dogs. They all rather like each other. Now its tv time and I have dogs in this room and Nathan has dogs doing tv time.

Oh and I have eclairs thanks to Ronnie who went to St. Jacobs. Thank you!!!

Cali and Fenton departed - so did Rusty and Luna and a number arrived. Many depart tomorrow so lots of grooming going on tomorrow so I best feel better. LOL Think I will go get another Tums.

We have a semi full house. It is nathan's day off. Tomorrow we do have a full house. Rusty and Luna are coming to visit tomorrow. We also have a number of very special dogs that are visiting. You know who you are!

Cali and Fenton will depart. So sad as they have been rather wonderful but bet they will love seeing their parents.

We have a lot of play monkeys so far. It's going to be an outstanding weekend.

Pippa's Bailey is here and her Mommy is sick with a bad case of the bronchitas crud. Terrible to be sick. Glad not covid. Still she can't see that Bailey is having a blast. We got to see her grandma on drop off. Like them immensely!

Tenshi left yesterday and they are off to seeing family for the 1st time in eons. I am ever so glad some are enjoying! We are too just not out and about.
