Wild Weather

Here is the gallery.

It started out okay with plants peeking out and then the wind and the flying rain and snow. The dogs looked at it and said NO WAY! Me too.

For those that think spring is here - well not yet. Just hopeful, I gather! March is always like a lion. April - let's hope. When it is sunny the dogs come to life - humans too!

Dogs are so enjoying warm blankets - tv and running the halls!

Bad weather - no worries. We still fiund a way to expel energy.

Still Ice?

Here is the gallery.

This is the middle of the pool but everywhere else seems to be dirt, mud and plants trying to make a debut.

Today Fenton and Cali departs. I combed them out and hope they remain decent.

The dogs are enjoying outside and so is Nathan as he lays in his gravity chair. LOL

Oreo has taken over Harlow's job of barking for meals, snacks - lap - what have you. I watched a tv show with Dennis today and Majik melted in my lap. When Nathan takes a nap, Oreo must go. Mr. Levon loves to scratch at my legs - hey you - I am here - stop doing what you are doing - it's me. Trigger loves the smells in the garden. Rue - well Rue was playing and playing today. Rue is rather reserved but she does play but today she played like it was all she was thinking of. It made me smile.

Off to upload videos.

Wet and Nasty

Here is the gallery.

It is so wet and nasty out there. We had hail as you can see in this photo. We would not have had them out but it started after they were out. Cali just stared and stared and stayed under the gazebo. What is this ---- I imagine she was saying. I feel the same.

I have to tell you that they now look out and say - rather do the tv room - the kitchen - the hall - anywhere than that. Besides the snuggles reciprocated is wonderful. So, we make the best of bad weather.

Catch Up

Here is the mini gallery.

I have been out all afternoon. Went to Rock of Ages which was fun and a bit racy. Singing wasn't as good as originals but that is what made it fun.

Nathan said he sat out with the dogs today as it was so lovely. They say snow tomorrow - sigh.

The dogs he said really enjoyed lazing out with him.

They played indoors too. Many went home - a few arrived. I made a list who had to be brushed and what time they were going home. Hope he followed through.

It was good to get out. I so appreciated it. Guess Nathan, Dennis and the dawgs survived without me.

Wet Rainy Day

Here are a few photos. It has been raining ALL day so very few photos.

I just clicked a few and that's as good as it will get. Tomorrow blogs will be late and short.

Tomorrow I am out with the daughter as her present to me. Sadie, Leo, Olive, Lola and Pepper are departing. I won't be here so apologies to those I will not see. Trigger and Levon with come.

Despite the weather that NO ONE wants to go out in, they are still having a great time.

What a Wonderful Day

Here is the gallery.

I want to say thank you for all that made my day a wonderful one. I didn't groom. I took a long hot shower this morning instead of coming down with the dogs. Eeeking out time to take a shower is not a given always for me nor is it easy. So to leisurely not worry about doing everything that I do every day from 7am till bedtime was amazing. Maybe its not for you but for me, I work so hard so anything that lends me an easier time is - well huge smiles.

I want to thank those that brought their dogs that I have not seen for a bit. Bonham arrived today and was so much fun. Mom brought gifts - a gift card and yum homemade scones. The big gift was Bonham that was so delighted to see and her husband Steve was a treat too as its been a long time. Nice way to start the day.

Daisy's mom brought dessert - yummy desserts - thank you!

Tenshi - well we get her an extra night. Poor Sylvia is working herself to death before she can go to Montreal for a funeral. Hugs...

I must admit, I changed blankets, moved laundry on and snuggle over and over with the dogs. I am about to sit in a recliner to rest enough to start my day tomorrow grooming.

A gift of yum designer fruit arrived from Coco the Maltese owners - yum. Though Nathan has been picking at it. He loves fruit. I told him hands off the chocolate covered strawberries. The other day Ronnie brought smoked meat. That's Nathan's fave and was so special as she always thinks about us. Tenshi's mom brought me yum is it Korean or? It was ever so good. Thank you.

Thanks to Sandy who sent me mad money. I bought a few summer shirts. Thanks to Sherry - tips, mad money always wonderful and she always thinks of me even when going crazy moving.

Nathan picked up Lonestar and my tummy is bursting.

Then today Kandoo's mom came with Kandoo and Asal and brought Purdy's chocolate and well we watched Spirit literally go out of her mind to see Kandoo. She even kept trying to get Asal to play. Spirit was smiling and so incredibly excited. It made us smile too. Between Bonham and Kandoo - it made my day. Yes, I so love the dogs but Spirit - oh boy grinning and grinning made my heart melt. I did put a short bit of it on Youtube. Nathan also took a short video of Jersey and Pepper playing - siblings.

Dogs had fun. A day off from grooming - needed. Thank you for everyone who cared. The recliner is calling.

To all who sent messages - thank

Mini Day

Here is a mini gallery.

Sorry but I think Dennis forgot to take photos. He's a bit exhausted and is napping till tonight now. I suppose I could go and snap photos but I am also exhausted. So - hopefully not too mini for you.

After this blog, I need to eat, check blankets and upload videos and it is almost 7pm.

Tomorrow no grooming. Otherwise, I imagine I will still be working. Almost 3 weeks of grooming nonstop every day due to March Break is taking its toll. So I do not care if they can't see - I will be barking at Nathan to do it. We shall see how it goes. I am conditioned too.

Dogs enjoyed themselves, I am told. a recliner and dogs are calling me. Nathan is tv timing it.

Oh the Play

Here is the gallery.

This is the only gallery I got done and my gallery hosting sewrvice started having issues. I spent hours trying to get the photos to upload then reported. They tell me it may take a few days. So, at least I got this done. I am hoping it is fixed faster than what they told us. That would be nice.

A few dogs departed. Noone arrived. We are slowly reducing in numbers till the April crew arrives. Everyone has a different March Break, it seems.

Our deck is mostly snow free but not the back yard. I keep reading about everyone's excitement about spring and I go where. Yes, I know it does still snow in April. Wishful thinking from many. Soon... but not soon enough for many. I want to be out in my shorts and swimming in the pool too. My rebellion is wearing short sleeve shirts.

The dogs were playing like crazy and suddenly Harlow started refereeing. It was a riot. Usually Jeannie takes on the position.

No mud yet so we celebrate. Our floors thank whomever creates mud.

Tv Time is coming soon. Whatever Dennis made for dinner, it was gone in a flash and I mean in a flash. I think it was stew meat with veggies.

Thank you truly to Dennis for changing out all the blankets and sterilizing the pens before I got up today. Wow - now that saved me an hour!

Snow Almost Gone

Here is the gallery.

I am ever so tired - I mean exceedingly so. Nathan took Chai to class. I am finishing blogs and then I will sit down. I have had a very heavy schedule of grooming for an extended period of time with March Break. So short blog it is.

Everyone is doing well. Thank you to Ronnie, Elana, Evan and the dogs for food and the lovely gift for my birthday Friday. It is deeply appreciated.

The dogs had a ton of fun thanks to Dennis. The snow is almost gone. No mud yet so that is positive.

That's it for today - sorry.

Melting Away

Here is the gallery.

The snow is gone out front but a bit remains out back. I asked Alexa if it will snow this week and it said 94% chance we will get 3.4 inches. Fun.

Harlow and Olive have become quite the pair. Yes, they play with others but they are rather fond of each other. They investigate, play and nap together. Harlow really likes Chai too. Something about those little dogs.

I had a lot of grooming today so I am late. Still have puppy videos to get up.

Dogs had fun. I was grooming and hair was dropping and dogs were running through it. It was such a mess, it was funny. One has to laugh.

In and out today was the operative word. Dennis had them out a ton. As it was warm, they were really enjoying it.

Now off to upload videos.

Will Snow Melt?

Here is the gallery.

Snow has melted in the front but only half has vanished in the back. Many have departed today. A few more later. A few more tomorrow.

Our must only have fish dog has departed and I cooked a roast. I didn't want to make the house smell like a roast and only give it to some. So, I waited and cooked it today. The dogs will feast tonight without having to separate dogs. Bet they will eat every single bit.

Happy Sunday!

Messy Out There

Here is the gallery.

I guess due to March Break, I am getting later and later in posting blogs. Apologies.

It is truly a mess out there melting then snow then melting and output. We try our best. So, if you see yellow, know we are working on it.

I woke up at 630am to do dogs departing today. If I had done them last night, they wouldn't look freshly bathed. I just now finished doing pups and grooming etc. Now blogs.

Chase so loves me. I think she is treat motivated. Ollie doesn't like his pads shaved. The nuances of dogs. They are all similar but unique. Some do not mind the wet. Some hate it and some just roll all over the white stuff as if to say so there you just groomed me but.... You fill in the blank.

We had a visitor here that was urinating blood in a huge way. We took him to the vet. They thought it was an infection but the bleeding continued after going home so I said you need to do an xray to check for stones. This dog exhibited no pain but yes, it has a very large one and will be operated on. I am sharing this as the urinalysis did not show any crystals. If this persists, do get an xray. It does happen across all breeds. We had our late golden with this issue.

Ruth is now home though not well enough for Katie. We pray for her and hope she can see Katie soon as I imagine it will make a difference in her life as all dogs do but especially your own.

We have reports, including our son of people having dog carriers turned away and delays of up to 24 hours for flights. This is CRAZY. Just know if this happens, we have your dog and it is one less thing you need to worry about.

We have a number of dogs departing tomorrow - actually many. They will be missed. Less dog bowls will be made but water will be changed (10 of them) every hour or so. We are rather anal about it as we think fresh water is important and so do the dogs. They run to the bowls when we change. We always add some ice so its cool and refreshing.

We have tv time in the tv Nathan man cave and in the kitchen with Dennis. Kinsey and Sage are in heat - not being bred so they are in this room with the moms and these moms are receptive and show off their pups. It all works.

Nathan cooked steak and fish on the BBQ and the dogs that can only had fish and fresh salmon and the dogs that could do steak had steak. We are a doggie restaurant.

Rainy Daze

Here is a small gallery.

Yes, I named it daze for a reason. I feel that way. LOL

It has been raining most of the day. So we didn't get many but let me tell you just a few highlights. Nathan relishes his tv time with the dogs that join him. It is their choice. He also does the same for his nap.

I did manage to watch a tv show - the last with Dennis called The Last Of Us. I think I am done with zombie type shows. Nathan got me Tim Hortons muffins for breakfast for tomorrow as I was out and got a breakfast sandwich for Dennis and I for lunch. Chase loves them. That is all I am going to say. LOL

I then went back to grooming and was going to do a dog departing early tomorrow but simply too exhausted. 7am to start it is so get up time at 630 so I can finish before grooming. Nuts, I know.

I wish blogs could write themselves or I could dictate verbally. Such a dream.

Coco the maltese was bossing Dennis around. Hey, it is MY laptime while you watch that zombie show. She is so funny. Dennis puts out all the chairs so the dogs can surround him and I. It's our normal but funny, I suppose for someone else.

Tomorrow 5 dogs depart. During March Break dogs go, dogs come. It's a fun taste of craziness but it is fun - exhausting too as we like to make sure they have a great time. They do

The White Stuff is Still Going On

Here is the gallery.

It is 51F here today - oh my but no significant melt.Everyone is playing with Fudge. It is a riot. If it wasn't for the snow, I would swear it was spring.

Many dogs departing, Many coming. Arriving dogs kissing me as they come through the dog. Nothing better than dogs excited to see you. I got to get them to train Nathan.

Life is fun today and every day it seems for the dawgs!

Fun Of It All

This is Teddy enjoying himself.

Here is the gallery.

I am fried today. I sorely need to upload the videos and chill. I had a really tough day with grooming. Although tomorrow is busy, I hope it is better than today. I physically hurt and am exhausted so short blog it is.

We have a number of dogs coming tomorrow and a number departing. It is March Break. On the weekend of the 24th, I will not be grooming on the afternoon of the 25th and all day the 26th as it is my birthday on the 24th. That means anyone departing on the 26th will be done on the 25th. That afternoon may be hopeful but the 26th is no exceptions.

The dogs had fun. The pups are making fun noises and Dennis is in bed. Me, I am about to finish upload

Can't Get Close Enough

Here is the gallery.

This is the tv room. It is really 2 rooms in one. It's a livingroom and formal diningroom. We never got around from using anything but the kitchen for eating so I decided Nathan needed a man cave of sorts years ago so I bought 2 recliners, a reclining couch and a man cave was created from a diningroom that was never used. The livingroom, which is separated by frenchdoors but are always open give a tonb of space for the dogs to mingle. When no one is coming, the dogs have access to everywhere on the 1st floor and often come into my grooming area to look at me with sad eyes hoping I will treat them. LOL I must admit, it sometimes works.

We have an unconventional house. Dennis has his tv in the kitchen. Nathan his in his man cave. We often have dueling soundbars.

We had dropins for the day for grooming or otherwise. We had boarders arrive and go.

Nathan is going to class with Chai tonight and I was going to go but we have too many pickups then. Maybe next week. I am tired already - besides.

The dogs are truly having fun with each other. We allowed the dogs to sniff one of Hallie's pups and with wide wonderment from all parties - they so enjoyed the experience. The pup was not afraid in the least.

Snow is getting mighty grungy. I wish it would melt. It is almost spring they say? Six more days. It doesn't look like it is melting much - just turning dirty. Oh well. The dogs don't mind. They just appreciate the path.

Dingy Cloudy Day

Here is the gallery.

This is Sadie and Ty. It's gloomy outside but that's okay. I am listening to a guy on youtube talk about how bad the weather is in Turkey as it is raining. It is all in the perspective, I imagine.

Dogs don't seem to mind. They seem to enjoy it so maybe we should too.

We have had a few depart today. Mr. Brewer is visiting for the day. Everyone seems to truly enjoy each other.

As I type, Nathan is training Puppy Chai and the dogs are watching. What about ME?

We Survived

Here is the gallery.

The time changed and we survived. Life is fun on this Sunday. Dogs didn't seem to get the getting up earlier than usual. I think I did. I hadn't changed the clocks so the coffee didn't start. The dogs seemed patient waiting for their food. Not sure Harlow would have been but she is now home singing for her supper or breakfast, I imagine.

They say 40% chance of snow. I so hope as there is a yellow tinge or just bloody melt, will ya?

Dennis is able to run again now without the slick ice.

Today Frannie and Dallas departs. I am told the roads are in great shape so Frannie's humans are coming early. She will be happy to see her hoo-mans. Dallas will too.

Bonnie is home. Ruth is still in the hospital and Katie is still here. We hope she is on the mend.

Dennis is making me spaghetti for lunch. It's not my fave but he so loves pasta.

We had chicken fingers from Costco yesterday and I didn't finish so the moms got an extra feast. Dennis tried to feed the dogs with fresh fish. They were having none of it. He even tried the freeze dried fish - nope - not today.

Snow Playing

Here is the gallery.

The dogs are really enjoying the snow and no snowballs so far. Luna you can comb and she rubs her body all over the snow and you wonder why you didn't wait till just before bedtime.

Tonight I have Harlow to do so no bedtime combouts. I may relax with the dogs.

Roger has departed and so has Ellie. Nica has just been groomed and is playing her heart out. I want to say they are doing an excellent job on her hair. I will have to comb her out before she departs.

Dennis started making dinner for the dogs. How do I know? They - well some sing for their supper.

It's a fun day. They are enjoying.
