Maui and Everyone's Fun

Maui had a bath and trim and now you can see his eyes and those fabulous eye lashes. He departs tonight. He brought so much fun and he does stairs now - sorry about that - sort of the follow teh leader thing.

Dogs enjoyed the cooler weather today. I actually need a swim. So warm weather hopefully won't be gone. I do not even want to think of covering the pool.

Coco the Maltese was here and you will see she had a great time. Everyone had a great time.

Zoey departs tomorrow. She really likes the pups but I did tell her she can't have another. LOL

Daisy departed. We miss her fun craziness already! Maui departs tonight.

Me, I am going to try to eat and chill for a bit. Maybe I can have tv time layered with dogs. We shall see. I hope the same for you!

The Door

It is a coolish day today and the dogs seem to come alive when it is. Better than high heat but I hope we have heat again. LOL I need more swim days.

I am now going to bed with socks on my feet and the dogs steal them while I sleep and then I have to hunt them down. We have lots of blankets on the bed which the dogs love. I am wearing sock slippers today.

First thing in the morning as I am putting out water dishes in each room, the dogs are running back and forth playing like crazy. It is a fun way to start the day!

Visiting Fun

Ms Murphy departed today. Maui and Zoey arrived. It's still a fun full house and I find I really like it that way! The puppies Nami and Maui and running back and forth, sliding into your legs trying to get each other. Maui loves to eat and Nami did better today eating. It got the adults doing the same. It is wonderful to see the activity. Not looking forward to pool closing etc. I want to extend it and wish I had an outdoor towel warmer. LOL

We had a 6 week visit with one owner to be. She owns a winery and I am trying to figure out how we can visit her place maybe the 5th or 6th. Wouldn't it be nice if some of you can also come and let the dogs play? Just a thought! See the link to her place in Raven's blog.

It was another warm day and I so enjoy the weather being nice but they say some hurricane is going to give us a wet Saturday and I hope not as we have the 6 week visit. Time will tell.

What a Fun Day

The older pups, Ollie, Ellie and Nami had a fun filled day! So did all the rest of the visitors. It is so EXCITING to see the fun and I mean FUN with everyone.

I bet you Ollie and Ellie are tired tonight. The ones staying are chillin in the tv room with Nathan. Ours are closed eyed and snoring - well not snoring but I swear I heard some.

It was a very hot day today. Hot tomorrow too but rain 30% chance. Let's kep that rain away. We have a visitor - more tomorrow.

Zoey and Maui are coming tomorrow, Murphy departing. More fun.... I so wish these visits continue. It is great for my heart!

Mud and Fun

Parker sure loves the mud. Have to laugh. It's okay. A floor is easily cleaned. Just takes cleanser and time.

Thank you to you know who for chocolates and muffins. Yes, still medicated. Still sore. Not grooming today but hope to tomorrow. I am doing blogs early so I can relax with many of my dawgs that will lay all over me and keep me in one spot.

We have visitors that took kids to university this weekend. All have decided to stay an extra day. Bonus for us as we get an extra day of fun.It is SO nice to have dogs staying here again!

I had a gift certificate from my daughter sitting there for 6 months on Amazon. I never knew what to buy.  Each day the dogs would wake up when I opened my ipad to see what time it was. I bought a projection clock and it arrived yesterday. I can now look at the ceiling to see what time it is and the dogs do not react. It's a blue light on a white ceiling so it really works well. Some come with weather and all sorts of things. Mine is basic with just the time, alarm and a radio. As the dogs are my alarm - who needs that. :-) I have to be sick to sleep in - seriously. Plus the dogs have an internal clock as we have got them used to 7am - so that's when the wake up. I dream of extending it to 8am. I can't convince Nathan though. Then there are pups. Oh well.

It was a VERY hot day today. They say cool coming tomorrow. We have 2 pups visiting and Nami andus wil be in 7th heaven. Going to be a fun one!

Run Run Got to Have Fun

We have a full house this weekend as kids are going to university with their parents driving them. Everywhere from McGill to Queens and Western. Busy times for parents and fun time for the dawgs here.

It is interesting how the universities have changed things this year. It is interesting to hear.

Today I slipped on the kitchen floor. Nathan had just cleaned up a section of the floor and I didn't realize. as I had slippers on, down I went and my wrists are killing me. What an excuse to have a gin and tonic. LOL My neck and shoulder - only one is in pain. Tomorrow is a new day.

Dogs were running a ton today. They were really having a blast. I laid on a raft on the pool today for 20 min and then had to get out. The sun just kept going in and I was chilling. Strange as it was warm. I am not sick. I think Nathan shut off the pool heat. I am checking it in the morning as it is supposed to be hot tomorrow. They say cooler air is coming in on Monday. Please no.... Still need summer. :-)

Fun Filled Day

It was lovely and hot with the sun playing peek-a-boo all day. Mabel departed. Ringo and Amy will depart tonight. Barney and Daisy arrived. All dogs are having fun. Sage jumped on Nathan's back in the pool and rude him while he swam. It was a riot. I love creative dogs.

Had the best garlic bread ever from St Louis Bar and Grill. They were incredible. It was a great treat.

We had a raccoon about a week ago on our fence. Our dogs were barking. She hissed. I say she as she looks pregnant. Then she broke into our green bins - yuck and then sauntered up on the deck to go after my tomatoes. Now everyone knows Dennis is a sensitive soul and when he finds bugs he rescues them. I pointed out that their feces carry manu things that dogs can contract. He listened. He did his own research as gad forbid his mom knows anything and then took a hose and sprayed her. She went high up on the tree. Then she started to come down when he stopped so he sprayed her again and up the tree she went. We have not seen her for a week. Did it work and send her to someone else's yard leaving my tomatoes alone. The tomatoes are still there so the answer has to be yes. We go out enough that we would know. I guess she wasn't thrilled with her impromptu shower. In the heat we have she probably needed it but I think she was not impressed. I think they are adorable but with dogs they do not belong in our yard. I tell you this in case you have an issue in your yard. They are going to have their last kits of the season and will be looking for safe haven. My yard is not it. Hope yours isn't either.

It Was a Play Like Crazy 'Nother Day

The dogs played all day. They truly had fun. I went to Nami's class tonight but could not go in so went food shopping instead. The guys was complaining about everything I got. I was washing Harlow and I heard across the house all the grumbling. I had to laugh. I guess Nathan has to do the shopping. I shopped in a Sobeys which is not my usual. It was next to the class. Then I dropped in Dollar Tree to get the Amazing Cleaner. It's 1.25 and is the most amazing stain removal and cleaner and degreaser. It is the only place that seems to sell it. I think 2 people were in the store. It's a brand new store.

Rushed home after class, washed Harlow, trimmed etc and then started blogging and here I am. LOL

I have LOTS to do. Got to make coffee, wash bowls, clean the pen, get pups upstairs - just Dennis and I. hmmm

Dogs are exhausted. The way they played - well of course they are. Till tomorrow!

The Dawgs Were Playing

I had 7 straight hours of grooming so the gallery is on Nathan and Dennis.

As I went and got the next dog, I watched and stretched my body outside and smiled at all the play.

Nathan has been yelling at me to fix the irrigation as we have mud so that is on my to do list tomorrow. I need Dennis and he's in bed with a serious migraine. So, mud we will have. LOL

Bailey, Meadow, Chester, Teddy, Rosie and Meadow - did I miss someone went home. They were all bitten by the mud bug. They are havanese and well they can't help themselves. It makes me laugh!

I put in our calendar that I am OFFICIALLY SICK this Sunday and I am not grooming. It is my only day off and I said to Nathan I am not touching a comb.

Not this weekend but next weekend is the 6 week visit so lots of baths. Next hot day we need to get the pups in the pool. I also have to get into the pool. Been way too many days.

Good news is they said that September will be warm. I so hope so!!!

No Gallery Day

Looks like one of the sticks was corrupted so its a no gallery day. You can look at the gallery on Raven's blog to see some of the dogs - visitors alike playing with the pups. Apologies. I was just at Staples today and who knew I needed another memory stick. Not I.  I took a grand photo of Harlow pouncing on Stormy and that went poof. I find it sad to have lost moments except in my brain.

We had sprinkles off and on but the dogs enjoyed it none the less. I kept combing away so I am not sure I enjoyed it as much but when I see them enjoying, the smile comes broadly on this face.

We shall see what tomorrow brings! New faces will be arriving! Some departing. What fun!

Two Updates Tonight

We had a lot of fun dogs today including Coco the Maltese. It was a blast even if I had to groom and groom and take mini breaks so I can enjoy too. Pizza Pizza on the menu tonight.

Rainy Day

Dogs had fun today running and jumping and well doing what they do the best.

Nathan's blood pressure was high so he has been in bed with a headache. He takes pills and it seems he forgot so today was a bust for him. Hoping he is better tomorrow. I need him to be as I have a ton of grooming.

I did weed a small bit but really growing tired of this marathon. We shall see if I give up. Who has time anyways. I want pool time. I think the dogs do too!

Rocky Pup, Adults and Well Play

Willow's Rocky pup is visiting and is literally having a blast. In or outside it doesn't matter. Fun is the topic of the day with pups and adults!

No swimming today but lots of play. No weeding either. Oh, I need to do more and the dogs need me to so they can run with the weeds and try to get me to go after them. Yes, that's a game. But we didn't do that today! But fun was had. Even Misty had a bath. She so loved me for it. LOL

Messy As Ever

I decided not to groom today. My hand is telling me - break time so I looked at this gallery and laughed. This is how hard they play as they were combed out yesterday. Well, everyone but Brie and Tenshi who arrived today. I am debating - tomorrow or tonight - shall I comb out. I am just glad they have fun. Okay, I think I will break down and do some. Well, if Dennis is forgoing doing weeding. Me, I weeded all around the pool today. I am tired of weeding. I hate weeding.

Rusty and Stone was playing up a storm! It was delightful!

I weeded and weeded and weeded while the dogs helped empty my weed bin, drag it all over and although I gave them looks, I laughed in private. They had fun today so I did - well fun with everything but weeding. So much more to do even though Dennis is helping.

Short blogs as a nap is calling or more weeding. I am trying to decide.

Short Blog

Sorry - we had a really interesting day but we managed to find 98% rubbing alcohol. We use it for all sorts of things but for whelping - sterilizing things. We found out Purdy's only has a very small selection of chocolates. I was unimpressed. Oh well. The food court had many choices. We also stopped at Loblaws next to Markville and found their store is nicer than ours but it drove me nuts to see the cashier with a mask barely under her nose. Stupid silly stuff. I figure wear it or wear a shield or something but silly to wear under your nose.

No swimming today. Gallery will come tomorrow. I have dogs to play with and weeds to pull. Dennis has been at it for hours.

We now have the bottom deck closed off so we can take the pups out daily. I don't like the look but it is functional. Functional wins out all the time here.

Dogs are miffed as they like that deck but they will get over it. We are making room for them by pulling weeds. But they are learning to hang out with me on the top deck when I go outside or around the pool. The middle bed needs much weeding. I am off to see how much headway I can make.

Steamy Hot Today

We have not been swimming much lately. Too much grooming and pups and everything else but when someone asked, we decided it was a good thing to eek out sometime with the girls as a few are in heat. They needed the swim so I clicked. Misty always goes into the pool on the stairs. But today most times she was jumping in from the side. Bravo. Misty!

Ellie the pup was here playing up a storm with her brother and Nami and of course with mom. You will see a couple of videos here. You will also see Murphy playing with Misty and that too is in a video I uploaded. Dogs came, dogs left. Only Parker and Harlow remain and both are play monkeys and really enjoy the fun that visitors bring.

Dennis is weeding in a big way. I need to go see what he is doing. Maybe he pulled out non weeds. LOL We shall see.

It's Hot Today

Adele, River, Teddy, Charlie, Lexi and Chester are departing today. It's been a truly fun house. Lots of grooming but worth it, I say!

It's steamy hot today with the humidex making it up to 47%.

Parker has been having the time of his life and he looks it too. LOL Actually everyone has been. We had Teddy here, Leti's puppy so she was thrilled and so was Nami. I so appreciate seeing the pups. It is wonderful watching the play.

Got to find time for dogs and the pool. Rather missing that but Nathan takes a nap usually at prime time for that. Oh well....

Think this week I am going to try to venture out to get cherry cordials from Purdys. I wonder how busy Markville is during the week. A quick in and out and food court food on my day off... watch - it won't happen. But I think a treat is in store. I have been grooming and grooming. LOL

What are you treating yourself with? Everyone needs a treat. LOL
