Louis' Last Bath Before Departure

What a character he is. You can tell the way he is just relaxing while I click photos. How did he do? He was great.

He has the longest hair of the crew. But get this, it dried very fast. 

I can't believe he is departing tomorrow. He will be the last to depart. I really like this boy! This crew has magnificent personalities and all unique.

Tonight they had hamburger added to their food. They are in heaven.

Echo's New Family

Echo departed this afternoon. She has a long drive back home to Ottawa. We will miss her so.

Beau's New Family

Well Beau has departed and it's getting quiet. The pups are sleeping now waiting for the next pick up and the last 2 have already had their baths.

We are excited for these little ones to have their journey. We will miss them incredibly though. Hope to see them from time to time.

It is cold out so departure play is happening in the kitchen. That's okay. They are getting their play on inside too!

Beau's Last Bath Before Departure

How did he do? Amazing! His sister Echo was a riot and he was a very close second. It was silly bath time and blow dry times today.

Echo's Last Bath Before Departure

This dog is a bloody character. Her personality came spilling out in the bath. She gave me kisses. She laid on a towel rolled up so she could rest her head while I dried her. She was great.

Ollie's Departure

This is Ollie and his new family. It was interesting as he gravitated towards them. Such a great fit!

I am told:

We made it! He only whimpered for 2-3 min at first!

Cocoa's New Family

Coco is starting her journey. I am told she sang opera till she got to the 407 and settled in.

Last Baths and Last Full Day as 6

Ollie had his last bath and sprucing up before he departs tomorrow. He is the 1st to go home. He was fine for the bath. Actually liked it but those dryers were not to his liking. As he had a bath after a 3 hour play session outdoors, he was none too pleased. He wanted sleep. LOL

Cocoa had her bath as well. She will be going home in the early afternoon. She also didn't like the dryers but as I say I did the baths after a long play session.

She was funny holding her up for photos. I am not sure any puppy is in love with that position but they indulge us.

The pups had mad play today - a ton of it. Leti has spent a ton of time with them. I think she knows they are going.

Nice Day Out

Tomorrow 3rd born Ollie and chocolate gal Coco will get their send off baths and photos. They had a great few play sessions outside today and it will be warmish tomorrow so we will do the same. If Friday is doable, we will be outside so dress for it. If it is not, we will be in the kitchen. I say that as they play differently outside chasing their willies out, so to speak. Our goal is to get them tuckered out for the drive. Both are taking a drive - not close.

We will play it by ear - or is that weather?

As I type, Leti is laying in the xpen with them. She has already stopped eating extra meals herself regulating her own body weight. I may take Spirit and Leti into my office after the pups depart so they reconnect.

One of the pups had a spill down the stairs but he walked away as if it didn't happen. Worst thing I could have done is coddle him. It doesn't mean you don't love him. It means you do as you are helping them build their coping skills.

Just 3 Days

It's just 3 days till this one Cocoa departs and 3rd born boy called Ollie (Oliver).

There are some nice shots as they are really showing their fun. You can't help but laugh.

Looks like a deep freeze is about to hit come Friday so we will be doing the transfers inside. 

By Sunday they are gone and next Tuesday we are in to see Dad for the day. He is busy arranging his funeral - who will do what when. Enough said. 

These are happy moments - not the funeral but the pups having a new journey. I will miss them from the bottom of my heart.

They make you laugh and laugh. usually the last week they are tearing pads, yelling to get out to play and well just being pups but not a word. They wait patiently and no pad ripping. Leti - you make wonderful pups. 

I am very busy also getting everything done so they can go home. Sometimes that is good as I don't have a lull.
