Dexter's Last Bath Before Departure

Dexter was almost dry but then he kept watching his siblings and wanted to play so I got most of him dry and let him air dry the rest of the way. Here's his bath gallery photos.

Wonder if Leti will think he will come back too?

Be sure to check out Panda's blog to see videos of both litters together.

Barney's Back: Videos Added

Yes, he is visiting for the week. Leti was over the moon happy.

We have a vet visit and I have many dogs to do so updates will be VERY late.

Well, we are back and yes, Barney is really excited to see his siblings. Leti was over the moon and Panda was curious and waggy tail so I think she enjoys that he is visiting too.

Perfecting Our Skills

Boy can we run these days. The more we play outdoors, the better we get at full out running. Tomorrow Choco boy - now known as Barney comes back while his family has holidays. It will be interesting to see how Leti reacts.

The pups are now 10 weeks old. How did that happen. Next one to go home (Saturday) is the tri boy - Dexter.

New Exposures

Pups had visitors today. Our dogs and the pups did really well. I know, of course they did but the difference was one of the kids was in a wheelchair. This sometimes throws dogs off but everyone did really well and besides they just love people. It's why we make sure they are exposed as much as we do.

Here's a gallery taken today

Pups really now have merged as one. It's nice to see.

Here is a video. Rest will be on the Panda blog.

Sedate Play

Since Barney is gone the others have been quiet in their play. What I mean is they are in that confused stage. It will be interesting when the Panda pups go to the vets this week.  This quiet stage is normal. I call it the confused stage but they do get over it.

We are getting good reports from Barney's family and we so appreciate the updates.

Here is today's gallery.

Barney's New Family

Today is all about Barney. I hope you don't mind. You can catch up on the rest of the gang on Panda's blog.

Barney whined a bit on his way home. He had a small spit up. I think he wasn't sure what was happening but then he arrived home, played a bit, ate and then was playing up a storm. Eating means his stress has disappeared or minimized. Sounds like he is settling in. Bravo! We also should not have fed him before departure.

Looks like he is settling in and taking a snooze. They also won't nap unless they feel comfie with their surroundings. He looks mighty comfie! Here is the gallery of his forever family. This is also a video of the crew before departure. Plus check out this gallery

Barney - hugs from all of us!

Check out Panda's blog to see what Barney and the rest of the crew was up to last night and today.

Bath Before Home Today

Here's the gallery we took of Barney. He's going home today. Usually we do the bath the night before - okay I do the bath but Nathan hadn't placed in the calendar that this cutie was departing. So, I scrambled to get everything done and ready. Nathan owes me Chinese for this. hahahahaha

I also didn't get to do the usual - last day etc but we will do that when they come and be sure to take all the pups out. This way I will get last photos of the pups with just the siblings and then I will take out the Panda pups so Barney gets his last play in with them too.

Such a busy day so my day off is tomorrow. hahahaha

Warm Weather Fun

These pups have so much fun. They love the warmer weather. They love exploring. They are also not aggressive or territorial as they have merged with the other pups just fine. This is important to the development for both sets of pups. You do it too soon, it can effect their well being and make them hesitant if they are getting mauled by the others. That is why is is so important to do a transitional exposure. For a week we took them out together. When they were playing like they were the same age, we corrected and we stopped the play. Each day the time before they were forgetting they were younger was longer. Then all of a sudden they meshed.

When the pups are close together in age it is not an issue as development and abilities are similar but when you have 2 weeks, it takes the older pups 'getting' that the younger ones are not as capable and dumbing down their play. It speaks volumes when they are able to do that. So bravo little ones and bravo to Panda pups who managed to perfect their skills so they could play with the older crew. They need to be applauded too.

Here are today's videos.

He Runs

Outside in warm weather - the best! We could run and run and play and play. See the gallery.

We are now spending all our time with the 4 Panda pups. That's okay by us. We now go up and down the stairs, under the deck, into the garden. We just love mucking about outside.

We had such fun last night that we are going to do it again. It certainly makes it easier for Dennis to clean the pen. Soon we will be on a forever adventure.
