Stairs and Sarah

Sarah is so great with the pups. It is nice to have extra people to help socialize the pups. She went out with me with the pups when Nathan took a nap. Normally when that happens its just me and the pups outside but this time I had Sarah. Check out the gallery

We have VERY deep (tall) stairs outside but the pups managed to get up and down. They are still working on technique. Check out the video

River sleeps with Sarah and they have become very attached. River comes with her to help socialize the younger set.

It was mighty wet this morning but now everything has frozen over. Inside, outside the pups manage to have a blast!

Fun Play Outdoors

Thursday we are off to the vets - only 4 days away. The human has to finish up this blog fast as she has pups to take out again before it gets cold but it will just be me as the human Nathan is taking his nap. :-) I also have to put together two recently purchased shoe racks. It's amazing what you need when you have more people.

Here's the gallery from the outdoor adventure. Plus here is the video.

I say the pups are full of beans at this stage. Everything is so new and it's all an adventure.

Indoor and Outdoor Play

Indoor and outdoor they managed to have fun but it was so cold they only went out for minutes. Panda's pups didn't make it outside at all as they simply don't have enough body fat on them to deal with the real cold. They will eventually.

We did manage to get both sets of pups together but Leti's was a bit too rough so it was short term. You will have to read on Panda's blog how one of them dealt with it.

Here's today's gallery. Our grand daughter Sarah also got to play with them.

Here's the videos taken today.

Out in Slush

Oh the Leti crew had a blast outside in the wet and slush and ice. It was rather a mess out there but check out the gallery to see what they were up to. They lasted longer than the Panda pups but should have at 2 weeks older and higher from the ground.

This crew made it till 650am this morning - bravo!

They also have had several sessions upstairs.

Sorry this is short but really the pups are grand!

Snow Day for Pups

Yes, they had a snow day and they did rather well. I thought about taking Panda's pups out but it was too wet and cold. They simply don't have the body weight yet. So they missed out.

Leti's had a blast though. Check out the gallery

Leti's pups have been out of their xpen 4 times today. They will have another run before bedtime. Expelling energy before bed gets them to sleep through the night. We also noticed they must be sleeping solidly as they are also not eating so we may eliminate the food at night. They are old enough now. One more week and they will be 8 weeks. How did that happen?

Here's a video of them playing out in the snow

Dolly, a visitor had a blast with them too. She's really great when they get to this age.

Explorers

Leti's pups are explorers and are curious about everything. It's all so new. Here is the short video of some of their outdoor time today. Plus here is the gallery

Pups really like their outdoor adventures now. I am wondering if we get snow tomorrow how they will react to that. Only 1 pup still consistently can get out of the xpen if the door is open. It's the littlest tri boy too. heh

To say they get excited to see you is an understatement.

Clean Up Crew

What Panda puppies didn't eat, the Leti crew enjoyed and then we had a couple of clean up adults. See the gallery. Pups had a blast out. See a short video.

As we are out tonight at class, Dennis and Tracy will be holding down the fort and well I am tryinhg to get blogs done, get ready for class and everything else I normally do. That means the blogs may not be as robust.

The tri boy now knows how to get out of the xpen consistently if the door is left open.

First Outdoors Experience

The pups were outside for the very first time. How did they do? Wonderful.

Momma Leti made sure her pups were safe.

Leti was trying to protect the pups when we introduced friends to the mix. Oh it wasn't bad. She just let them know not to hurt her babies. She did this with Murphy and Ozzie.  Check it out in the video. You can also check out the gallery.

They also had exposure to the pool cover that bounces and that's mighty scary. Choco wasn't quite sure of the bounce of the adults running across but we took him and placed him in the middle and he went ah this isn't so bad. The other 2 didn't react at all. There is no rhyme or reason on who reacts but when they do we slow condition them and they get past it. All dogs will fear 'something' but its different things for each. We fear what we don't know but when you get slowly exposed, you find out its not scary at all. He played recovery fast so that tells me he has great coping skills. That's what you want. Tomorrow the other 2 will react to something different and hopefully they will recover fast as well. 3 out of 5 dogs pups or adults will react to the bounce of the pool cover their first time. It took Inula many days of exposures to get past it and we had to trick her by using distraction.  Now she flies over it.

Danielle and Pups

Here's a small gallery with Danielle and the pups. She really enjoyed a play session with the pups and grandpa kept her company too. As he is rather tired I suspect he is letting Danielle do all the work while he crashes. Poor guy is mighty tired today. Me too. heh.

Pups got us up at 6am again so we have a mission - a very long play session makes for tuckered out pups. They will have another session at 930 before bed. Even though Danielle is very tired the pups seem to give her more energy. Funny how pups do that. They make you smile.
