Visit Tomorrow

We had baths today but I only took dry photos after the bath. We lost our electricity today. It finally came back on. brrr. I groomed many dogs so by the time I got to the pups and the moms, I was exhausted. I am not even going to link to a larger photos. Sorry. May do a gallery later on though of all the large photos but I might include it in tomorrow's update.

Pups were bathed in order and dried, the pads were done and then the nails. Then hours later I was done. Then I started in on the moms.

Pups did have 2 play sessions outside and had a blast. Now they are soft little fluff balls.

The pups were great. No one played in the water but no one complained about the water or the dryers. It was a completely positive experience but 45 min per pup adds up :-)

Wait till tomorrow! It's going to be so much fun!

Run, Run, Run

Wait till you watch this video. Oh my gad are they fun pups. Let me know what you think after watching.

Out the door, no problem. Run in and out and under, no problem. Hoping its warm enough so you can see them in action outside and then we will come indoors for the visit.

They also have kangaroo tendons and they LOVE them. Have to get more as I need to give them to the Panda pups too.

Check out the videos of them eating and enjoying.

Vet Visit: Gallery Added

Off to the vet visit we went. We had a very full running play outside for 20 minutes before we came in, got into this crate we never been in before and got in a car that we have never been in. Wow lots of changes.

How did we do?

We whimpered for about 5 minutes. Once we got on the 407 we settled in and was quiet. We made it to the vets in an hour and a half. They took is right in but Inula got her shot first (rabies).

We went in order of birth.

The first gal weighed 3lb 4ozSecond gal weighed 3lb 3oz3rd boy weighed 3lb 7oz4th boy weighed 2lb 15oz5th born 3lbThis boy is 3lb 7.5oz

Boys all have descended body parts and all are in great health. Only had one issue. It seems someone is chewing on someone's inside of their ear so it had some teeth marks that will heal up. They are superficial just first time that has happened but the vet has seem it a lot. He said to give the pups kangaroo chews as they are teething and that is what was going on. Someone is using someone's ear as a chew toy.

The gallery is up. I didn't eliminate blurry photos. No one got groomed today. It was impossible so tomorrow I play catch-up. So, ignore the messy adults and enjoy that they had fun. I usually do mine every day but I am too OCD about it. :-)

These photos are the ones before the vet, during the vet and after the vet. The vet checks, ears, eyes, heart, patellas, tummy, lungs, fecal, testicles and gives them their microchip and shots. When you see the vet he may be staring off into space but he is listening. He is really a very thorough vet.

Lessons Learned: Video and Gallery Added

No more screaming to come out. They tried it out for size thinking Dennis would take them out so he walked away and now since morning they have been quiet and yes they have been out only after a quiet experience.

Tomorrow the blog will be small. We have the vets to go to in the afternoon and its a long day. It takes us an hour and a half to get there, an hour and a half to get home plus the hour plus at the vets. Then Friday they will get their 2nd baths. Then Saturday they have their 8 week visit. Dress warm as we may be doing some of it outside so you can see how they run and play. Then Sunday I rest. hahahaha

Gallery of their outdoor adventure today.... Pool cover runs - AMAZING first time video.

What a Day Indeed!: Updated

Size differences - can you believe. Larger is Roxie's, smaller is Panda's.

We had an experience and this happens with ALL the pups. They get so used to coming out many times a day that they find their voice and insist that you will listen. If you don't they get louder and louder till they realize it doesn't work. We try to get that craziness out of their souls so when they come to you they don't try it out for size.

Today we had the Panda pups out for the first time and I took a video and what was the noise in the background? Roxie's pups saying hey what about ME. Well, they were OUT before the Panda pups. So, we ignored and they didn't come out again till they were quiet. This is lesson #1. Do not reward the ill behavior. They all try it out for size. Today was the day.

Videos and photos later.

Here's one video. This is Nathan and Buddy and Roxie's pups having fun. Here's a gallery.

Plus here are 2 videos of them playing in their Upstairs Digs.

Roxie Pups Fun

Oh are the pups fun or what! Wait till next weekend's 8 week visit. They sure have a great time playing!

Run, run as fast as you can. Yes, that has changed. Thet are full out running their bodies.

All that running means water drinking time.

As I type the pups are playing in here, out in the hallway, under the couch. Can't wait to show them off next weekend but before that they get their shots, microchip and checkup on Wednesday. Busy week. I am deciding bath before vets or bath before family visit? I think bath after bath. We shall see.

The quietest one out of this crew is the cream boy but he is also adventurous!

Here's a couple of videos.

Using the Pad

Even after a long night we come to an xpen with all their business on the pads.

Food Time

Pups are now eating 4 times a day. That will reduce to 3 times a day after the vets. They are eating softened Fromms kibble (we send a bag home) and a sprinkle of chicken. They eat well - all 6.

Visitors and Fun

The pups had visitors and had a great deal of fun.

Then they fell fast asleep.

Then they had kitchen play.

We found out that Buddy LOVES the pups.

Now pay attention. This is Nathan kissing the pups. Yes, that's right. He does this silly thing with them and this is how it looks. Now you too have to duplicate it. hahahahahaha

Cold Brrrr

Pups felt the cold today. Usually the weather creeps up and they adjust but today they wanted to come in sooner than usual and they were cold. They will get used this weather. They always do. Will I?

Momma love is the best!

Nothing like a sherpa bag of fun. Don't you think?

Can you believe Wednesday they are getting their checkups? How did this happen so fast?

Fun Was Had

So Odin do you have any milk?

Now time to chill. The human here is telling us no we can't disassemble the pee pad. Now why would we do that?

We had fun before the rain. We also spent time upstairs with Dennis and now we are getting into trouble and this human says time to get out and play again.

Roxie's Pups Fast Asleep

Each night their xpen is completely scrubbed down. We change and cleanup throughout the day but at night Dennis disinfects it thoroughly.

Simone and Stephanie Visit

The pups were so lucky to have Stephanie, Simone and Dusty visit. Unfortunately I had Yvonne visiting at the same time so I wasn't able to click but Nathan did and he captured some great photos, imho.

The thing about pups is it is a reciprocal feel good moment. They make you laugh and they act silly when you are having a good time. They do feed off of your emotional state.

These visits are great as it also allows the puppies to have socializing moments with people they do not see on a daily basis.

Pups are full of beans today. They had a great time. They go for their 8 week checkup next Wednesday. Wow how did time fly by this fast? Then they will have their 8 week visit and then 2 weeks after that they go home.
