It wasn't too hot so we have had a lot of fun activity but as it is Dennis day off, not many photos were taken. Nathan was on camera. I was grooming and watching while he was napping so forgive us for less photos.
Dogs are out with Nathan. They are lounging, playing, looking for squirrels and birds. Theyt are being dogs!

Lazing outside is best. I was grooming from 7am and just finished.
Dogs just finished their run game and appear to be exhausted - looking at the tv with Nathan halfway out of the corner of their eye.
Relationships between the dogs is quite amazing. Everyone loves each other immensely. It's as if they are at a party and they are all the guest of honors. :-) Now imagine that as that is what it seems to be.
Friday, June 3, 2022 at 6:20PM New dogs have arrived and we are having so much fun. It's not hot. It's not cold but dare I say just right if a pool is not usable. On that note, we now await a new heater. It seems it is not fixable. How long will we have to wait? Time will tell. :-( Dogs want to go in and so do I. Little Oakley jumped in and now we are drying him. There is always someone who tries it out. No, he didn't fall in. He jumped in.
Tomorrow and Sunday I have grooming from morning till bed. It is turning out that Friday to Monday are my busiest days.
Dorothy dropped off a Plumeria wow - thank you, truly! I have already planted it. The weeds are bigger than ever.

This sign was a gift from our son, Jon. It resides in our front yard.
I love capturing looks but Dennis got this one. Comfort outside on the pool furniture.
Dogs had a wonderful time today.
Someone we know died so a shiva has to be attended tonight. It is so sad when you lose people you have known for so very long.
On another note they came to fix the pool. Now we have another error. Let's see when they return. So getting tired of this heater issue. It is non functional again.
It is cooler weather for today.
Our son and family is coming to visit in a couple of weeks. We haven't heard how long but it will be fun to make things with the grand daughters and I am hopeful our pool will be heated by then. It has been so long as it was a couple of years pre-covid then covid arrived.
Going to be warm tomorrow. No pool of course. Our son came and mowed the lawn for Nathan as his present. It was so high, it was ridiculous. Anyone know who does a tuneup of sorts on a gas lawnmower? He got it done but oh boy it was having a heart attack and smoking.

Well we woke up to rain. It's cooler. Dogs seem to like that. Nathan was disappointed.
I went to Lonestar and picked up food - Nathan's request. Tonight we will watch a movie, with us being compressed with dogs, arching eyes to watch the screen. It's our life. he son is sending popcorn from the theater. So we are doing blogs early.
Wishing we had the pool but Nathan semi had that yesterday. Not as enjoyable as usual but doable.
Rue just arrived and nathan is heading out to the sun with the dogs. He's in heaven and so are the dawgs!

Hardly any photos. It is incredibly hot and well the dogs thinks without air we must be nuts to be outside. I hear them. Without a pool, I agree. Here is a mini gallery.
The dogs are magnificently happy to be in air conditioning.
Nathan's birthday is tomorrow. Sherry's birthday is the next day. Good month June is... Dennis won't be sleeping tomorrow to allow Nathan not to do a thing. We shall see if we can pull it off. One of our other sons is going to get gas and mow the lawn. I also weeded so he can walk into the pool shack. It is all the weeding I could muster in this heat. Nathan wants Tomos so sushi it is for him.
Dennis told me today the dogs don't care if the water is cold. I added ice to one bowl outside and another without ice. They stood in line for the iced one.
There will not be any running game today unless Dennis musters up one upstairs. They love it so but not safe to do one outside with the heat.
They have a cooling bed that they all want to hog. It doesn't stay cold but cool and they like it.
I have a knee that is killing me - arthritis and just won't quit. I have tried everything but the last 2 days has been ridiculous. Nathan says jump in the pool and you will forget about it. I guess I would for that moment of submersion as its still that cold in the pool but I won't. I am not even sure the dogs would enjoy and I am not going to test one to see. How cruel would that be?
Cooler day tomorrow and maybe rain.
Nathan and some - not all the dogs went in the pool. Dogs didn't mind but Nathan said it was downright frigid. Added photos to the gallery. First swim and all of the season. My up to waist doesn't count. A video was added of the dogs jumping in.

Benjamin is flying around here like he owns the place. Ms Sage snuggled up to him and all was right in the world.
Ms Patches, Radar, Kora, Sadie all left and Lexi will depart tonight. The dogs were milling around in the sun but they soon found the shade. Ms Ella was excited when she saw her human in a bathingsuit but without the heater it is too cold. He had intended to jump in but he thought he may have a heart attack doing so. So, in the house we came. I really was hoping the pool was fixed in time for Nathan's birthday June 1st but not looking like it is even possible. We will call this the summer that wasn't. LOL
Chester and Lola arrive today. Benjamin and Tia are enjoying thoroughly as I type.
Heat wave is supposed to last all week. I can't seem to be able to find the dog pool or I would have soaked my feet in it as well.

Still no pool but we have air conditioning and we just had an alert on the phoned that we are in for the 1st heatwave of the season this week. I may take a shower in a bathingsuit and sit outside. LOL Poor dogs can't do that!

Today many depart - Roger, Coco, Doozie, Coco, Coco (yes we had 3 Cocos) plus another Coco comes tomorrow. LOL
Tomorrow Sadie, Patches, Radar, Kora and Lexi depart. Come Tuesday a few more come but it will be relatively quieter. Me, I may weed in the heat as its really wild out there but probably wise to do it at night.
Today the birds are really enjoying the cool bird baths that Dennis keeps refreshing.
The dogs think all the loungers, the couches, the pillows are theirs and I suppose they are. So laughing.
Good day for the dogs. With teh heat tomorrow, they may be looking to stay inside! Maybe we will find the kiddie pool and fill it up. - before grooming.

A bunch of dogs are departing today. Last of the holiday, I gather. More go tomorrow and then it gets quiet. Hopefully the pool will be fixed by then. We have so much weeding to do but no time.
Dennis and I finished Severance yesterday covered by dogs. Now we wait a year for season 2. LOL
The dogs are truly enjoying this weather. Soon its chase games. Dennis says after dinner.
If anyone sees plumeria - want to buy. I am now down to 1.
Friday, May 27, 2022 at 6:17PM Dogs had a ton of fun. I am short blogging it as I need to sit and veg for a few minutes.
It started with rain today and ended with just overcast. The dogs had a ton of fun.
Pingo, Coco and Teddy departs today. Teddy is the rescue we had and oh boy his hair is shiny and his weight is just right. It does my heart good to see.
After my time out I need to groom everyone. So... more tomorrow!
Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 5:40PM Ms Patches put her face in the water and decided to spread it all around the water bowl. I so laughed. She was having fun.
Around that time, Bailey was jumping all over Radar on the kitchen chair. Bailey so loves Radar. LOL She will miss him :-)
Ms Kora has taken over a bed up high where she can watch everyone coming into the tv room. She is one of a few that find that spot to be a coveted one.
The planters that I had to transplant from the storm is finally planted. While Nathan was napping, Dennis and I and the dogs finished the transplantation. I say the dogs too as there was compost and soil and they kept thinking it was delightful to help.
Cleanup occurred after the fun. Compost seems to stick so cleanup is a must. hahaha
Dogs had a fierce game of running today. I bet you they are tuckered out. Tv time is a desire for humans and dogs.
Everyone had a blast! In and out and just plain fun was had!

Ms Bailey has been playing her heart out. Tomorrow she gets spruced up and goes home. Patches and Radar are here for a bit and having a great time. So is Benji and Tia. Tonight Rocky and Lucy will depart and boy did they have a grand time. We have dogs coming and going.
I am going to sleep the night as I have grooms tomorrow. I feel a bit queasy from flipping my times. Plus the dogs love me sleeping with them. LOL

I have to redo 2 planters but its not happening today.
Pool parts won't be in for 3 to 5 days and hopefully that fixes it. We shall see. I am so jaded.
Everyone who is here has settled in nicely and all play. It's absolutely wonderful to see. They also love the cushions out so they can laze and watch the birds and squirrels till one decides to chase then they all do.
Dennis still does the chase game to get them all expelling energy. They so adore the fun!
I am off to take a nap. See Hallie's blog for a surprise.

Dogs are departing, some remaining and some coming. What a great weekend it has been. Tomorrow Leti, Jersey, Chloe and Rocky and Lucy depart. Wednesday is my day off and I need it. I also need to get my 2 planters left transplanted as the pots are broken and some of the plants are damaged but should come back. Here is hoping. My trug I hardly planted and I have lettuce coming up everywhere. Many other things survived from last year. Surely saves money when that happens.
Dogs have been having fun nonstop. Patches has taken over where Jake was at tv time right on my lap snuggled in. Jeannie is sometimes up on the recliner right next to her. Sadie eats as if she is starving - yum it's dinner don't you know?
Pool is still not fixed but hopeful this week - please!!
I need to sand a table and spray paint it. Why spray paint? I am being lazy.
Someone said I need to build a website for my sideline. I have no time but they are selling by word of mouth and I surely need to with all our repairs.
Here are a few things I have done.
Doormat high quality. Can put anything on it including this design with your dog and/or family name.
This is a pillow cover linen.
I am using this as a trivet for outside. It's slate. You can put family photos on it (have stands) or dog photos or anything you like.
This is a garden flag. You can put anything on it and it hangs on a pole. It is double sided.
I do pens, t-shirts, tumblers, pens, keychains, luggage tags, mugs what have you. I am attempting to do tea lights and did those with flowers on it. Next I will try them with one of my dogs or someone else's. Next I will be doing leather designed patches for hats or whatever you want it on. I am also going to put my dogs on pens. :-)

Radar was lazing on the lounger and gave it up for Jersey. LOL They do find the furniture comfiest.
It's cool. We are not supposed to see warmer till Saturday.
Jake has departed. My recliner opens up to someone else. Soon Benny will depart.
We have received calls from those that live locally that power is still not on and if it continues, you are welcomed here even if you just want to charge your phone. The bus stations that lost their glass is being replaced as if a storm never occurred. We keep experiencing flickers and brownouts. Trees are getting cleaned up. We have cleaned up our yard. Most of our plants survived.
Dogs are happy and the sun just came out. Can't sit anywhere that is wet but the dogs don't care about that!
I have to replant 2 planters but it kept raining off and on so it will wait or will it and I have Benny to groom for departure.
The dogs are having fun! They did get combed out here and there - all by me.

Sadie says it has stopped raining but what a mess it is out here now with the humans cleaning up. No broken gazebos, or trees etc. We had side ways rain. Flying pots that had to be repotted and hope they survive. Lights were flickering. Something wrong with Dennis computer he thinks due to flickering. Dogs did not enjoy seeing the storm so we took them into the tv room. We turned the tv up and I sang. I can't sing folks. I mean I really can't sing but the dogs just looked at me and it did distract them.
Dennis said good news as he didn't have to water plants but that made up for it redoing the pots that got a mess. Minor to what it could have been.
Dogs had fun. A few went home. No one new arrived. Tomorrow a few more depart.
It is now back down to 67f from 88f today. Looks like either rain or cool - oh well.
No one except those going home today was brushed. Okay, I did start but as it got nasty out there, it simply made no sense.

Here is the gallery. Had more photos. It is a bit defeating but I had a memory stick and I can't extract the photos off of it as it keeps giving me errors and I am not just saying it but it had some great photos on it. argh. Dennis tried to work his magic but couldn't.
I have been getting a ton of love from Leti. It's wonderful!
All teh dogs are playing. I remember when Bonham would have been a bit overwhelmed with this crowd but he isn't any longer and we do have a full house due to the long weekend but most will have departed by Monday night. I have a lot of grooming throughout the weekend.
Patches and Radar are very close to each other but we are now seeing independent play as well.
Sadie is funny. She plays and plays and cat naps. I can't tell you what everyone is doing all day but they are all having fun.
Lola, Dimsum, Jasper and Siopao are departing tomorrow. Jake will be on his last day tomorrow. Tia, Benji and Katie are coming for the day.
Dennis had a blast doing the run game with the crowd today. Feeding dinner was done in shifts as we had unique foods. LOL Everyone ate like they were starving. That happens after they expel energy.
It is such a fun weekend for us and for the dogs.
Pool parts due to long weekend will not arrive till at least next week. I am hoping the pool will get fixed in time for Nathan's birthday. He gets his regular day off and his birthday - lucky boy. It would be luckier if he was swimming with the dogs. Here's hoping...
Now it is tv time and enjoying snuggles.

We are starting to get dogs for the long weekend. The dogs love new playmates. Everyone is getting along quite well. It will be a full house with a TON of fun. It has already begun! TV time now and patches loves Nathan's neck. LOL
Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 3:04PM Ms Meadow is here visiting and long weekend is coming. People are going away and hopefully having great fun.
Our pool parts are coming they tell us but with the long weekend, they may not arrive till next week but they think they know what it is. Yep - the heater - the brand new heater last season. The ipad was replaced today - no choice as I use it all day. It is still restoring. Had to really fight with Apple to get a deal and escalate it. Keep that in mind when you have to do the same. It is doable. I am not usually insistent but had no choice. They wanted way too much.
Dogs really like this cooler weather. Me, not so much.
We have 2 new dogs here that is settling in nicely. Siopao and Dimsum have not been here for a long time and they acted as if they were visiting us all along through covid. Makes me happy when the dogs are happy. Radar and Patches - really happy and enjoying. Ms Harlow departed. Mr Jake is departing in 3 days. We have truly bonded but he will love seeing his humans. The goal is to give them a holiday when their humans have a holiday.
