Opus and Winston were playing and playing today and Winston was jumping at the camera when I was trying to take his photo. It was a riot.
Ms Meadow has been in exploring mode. She is enjoying herself.
Ollie and Diamond have been in crazy play mode.
We had a wonderful day... well the dogs did. I was mega busy.

Ruth asked me to take a photo of Katie with a birthday hat. Well, I don't do birthday photos so no hats here and well usually you have to try and try again to really get a photo. We don't do poses but capture movement and shots not posed. So, as Nathan says - it is what it is.
I made the crown - as she really is a queen on my Cricut. Keeping it on was trying but funny.
Katie is also waiting for a date for Ruth to go home so I didn't want to trim and bathe her today. It makes no sense when she may be going home in a few days. Plus I have a heavy grooming schedule. But she has had many baths and trims in the last 4 plus months. I think she is adorable and we tried. Glad the crown worked. It does suit her!
Happy Birthday also to her brother Odin.

All I can say is covid sucks. Lost someone to it today. She was on a road trip in her Tesla to Vegas and I went online to watch her trip. I sort of got lost in it. Sorry... Today in snail mail I actually received 2 presents from her as I had sent her Canadian syrup. She sent me motivating pins and the date from Florida on the envelope was a month ago. Wow... things are mailing slow. Funny, before her trip she got the syrup. Oh well, enough said.
It was definately cold today. I hate damp cold that you feel to your bones.
We had Alfie, Logan and Panda over for the day.
Tomorrow Nathan goes to the vet with Kinsey for shots and Rebel for her year shots. Tomorrow Meadow comes for a week and Winston comes for the day. As it is Katie's Bday soon, I may give her a bath tomorrow depending on how the day goes. I may have to make a birthday hat as I don't have one and really do not want to go in stores to get one. So, I may have to get creative. LOL
Dogs had fun today and they always do. Dennis is napping so I have to finish the puppy blogs now. I feel like soup but Nathan just told me its too late for that. LOL

This is a no gallery day. Amy dropped in and is now home. Ollie came for a few days. Mr. Archie departed too early. LOL Okay, we were up. He was excited to see his momma.
We went to pick up a food order at Longos and went into Pet Value to pick up deicer that is safe for the dogs. Okay, it makes it blue and gritty out there but not sure its totally effective but better than nothing. Dogs are happy inside although we keep taking them out. Dennis said they won't stay out long enough to take photos. It is icy and cold. Tomorrow is a new day.
I have scissors that are really dull and its a chore to ship out a few for Deboers as they no longer do same day service. Deboers are cheaper not counting the gas and time but we shall see how it goes. So, Sherry gave me a mobile guy that I am trying on Friday so no grooming on Friday. Thank you, Sherry! Okay, I have anxiety. Here's hoping it works as that will be better than driving out to Deboers. They do not do clipper blades so those will have to be mailed to Deboers or buy new ones, :-)
Can I say I hate how covid has changed most things.

Are you watching sports today? We used to be HUGE hockey fans but sports is not what we watch when turning on the tv but the dogs and us will be watching the halftime show. Why not!
It is a cold one today and they say it will get colder as the day goes on.
Nathan ordered the Keg dinner for Valentine's Day figuring tomorrow will simply be too busy. Tomorrow Longos and chocolate covered strawberries. LOL It's rare we treat each other but I am getting a chicken Oscar not a steak Oscar as it is cheaper and I like it. I hope pickup vs. eating there still means it is good. We shall see.
I am going to wash up Archie today as he departs at 730am tomorrow. This way I can just brush him out vs getting up at 6am. LOL He has had a tremendous amount of fun. He plays and plays then sleeps and sleeps. Opus and Diamond seems to match his playing level. Chester and Daisy play too but they pace themselves a bit more. It's only 330pm and everyone is napping. I guess it is party time for tv watching tonight. Yes, I am laughing!
I used Ship Shape Cleaner on all our brushes and combs - my grooming and our own and it made my sink sparkle. It makes the brushes and combs extra clean. Best product for brushes and combs by far! My big cleaning for the day.
Oh and I put peanut butter on a lick mat and placed it down. The dogs just LOVE it! I was afraid it would get all over their facial hair but it did not.

Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 5:08PM Blogs will be short as I have a headache that won't quit. I am going to lay in the recliner with some of the dogs. Everyone is having fun, as you will see in the gallery. Cold is starting to drop. Dogs want to stay indoors. Can you blame them?
Nathan has been cutting everyone's nails. You need to do them on a regular basis. I almost asked him to do mine. LOL
He thanked me for doing the laundry. I said happy valentine's day. Yes, I am laughing. When Cinnamon watches me do the folding, I turn to get another piece and off she goes with socks or underwear. I do get them back but it reminds me that she still can't help herself. Kinsey, on the other hand wants to eat my feet.
Everyone is enjoying the play. Dennis played the find the treat game today. No clear winners but they all got a treat.

Bonham went out along with the rest and was frozen in position for a bit. It's melting and wet and raining. Oh my.
Mr Bonham went for a nap today with Nathan. Another unnamed visitor did not as all she wanted to do was play. LOL
Not much to report except we keep drying - ok I keep drying and well that's the weather for you. Is that Arctic air still coming? I can't keep them brushed out so I will have to wait till I can. Well, that's my excuse. I have only myself to blame if tomorrow it ends up being lots of work.

It's the great meltdown and Dennis hardly took any photos. Sorry about that and get this, Nathan took a bunch of Coco and half came out so blurry, they were unusable. It was THAT kind of a day.
We had Coco here. Astro is departing shortly. Diamond arrived and Chester arrives later tonight.
It is wet and mucky out there. Some of the dogs insisted on staying on the deck. LOL They say cold is coming.
Time to get the blankets out and cuddle and watch tv. LOL The dogs say - ALL RIGHT!

We hear -24c weather is coming this weekend. Stay warm. Eat soup. Wear fluffy bathrobes and warm socks.
Our snow is slip sliding off the pool shack.

The dogs that are here are having a total blast. I suspect when it gets cold, they will play heartily inside for the most part. We shall see if the weather people are right.
Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 7:06PM When I say the dogs have a great amount of fun, I mean it. I mean look at the fun in the gallery. They just have a grand time. Sometimes we catch it. Sometimes we are too late for the camera but oh boy they manage to run, smile and enjoy and that makes me happy!
Archie and Coco are in their element. They are true players in the true sense of the word.
Ms Pepper departed. So did Ms Daisy! Rusty and Luna was here playing like crazy and so was Lucky and Rosey.
Today the dogs are totally exhausted!

We had a bit of a melt going on. It is that inbetween melt to ice. We have a lot of ice in the front. In the back we have mush.
Dogs had fun despite the weather. Benny has departed. Oakley departs within the hour. Weekly Daisy departed. Tomorrow we have Rusty, Luna and Rosey coming for the day. I believe Archie arrives anytime tonight.
Ms Coco has now taken over the recliner. I am not sure what it is about this recliner but we have a reclining couch and 2 recliners in the tv room and all they want is this one recliner. I wish I could read their minds. It is funny! Ms Katie will have to wait a bit longer as mom will stay in rehab to get up on her legs for another week. She will be excited to see mom but mom needs to be up to Ms. Katie. I am glad to hear Ruth is progressing. Home sweet home soon!
The dogs have become over Dennis looking like a martian and punching the air. VR games are funny. It is good to get dogs used to whatever you do that looks different to them.

Run this way, that way. The dogs were having fun. Coco and Benny was playing their full being today! Daisy was refereeing. LOL
It didn't matter if it was inside or out, the dogs had complete fun!
Simon and Sully departed and they had a great time. It was GREAT to see them!
Nathan went to Loblaws and they have reduced the size of the store in a huge way and many products are no longer there. Of course PC brand was. He said the line up at Walmart was out the door. Dennis had wanted hot chocolate in those Keurig pucks and Walmart and Amazon are the only ones that have them so Dennis will have to wait till a quiet day.
Pepper is playing up a storm and they dropped off something from the baby so she could smell it and she has a few times. I bet she is wondering what she is smelling.
Ms Harlow departs tomorrow. She's been playing quite a bit and has tried to take over Katie's bed. earlier today they both insisted in laying in it and they were waiting each other out to see who would move. Both stayed there for a long time. LOL No words - just staking claim.

Remember Teddy the rescue? He is here to today and he is down to 20lb. How amazing is that? He came in happy, happy and has been having a grand time with the dogs. It is so great to see him.
We have Jasper visiting. It is his 2nd time visiting and he is doing well. He connected with a couple of havanese. Hey mom, this can be fun.
Ms Ellie was just picked up and well she loves everyone. Simon and Sully well they are way comfie and are playing independent too. Pepper thinks she is the life of the party.
The dogs are doing really well! They have had some real fun today and the day isn't over.

Alfie was over for a groom and play so I did him in stages. I combed him out. He played. I cut him some. He played. I bathed him. He played and I finished him and he played. He must have appreciated his stages grooming as each time he sees me, he runs to me and loves the snuggles. You have to figure out what works for them and for you. Alfie is having fun.
I had an irritating day as I took videos and it kept crashing and NOT saving. I may need another solution. So, no nail cutting video for Tempies pups. It happens but it does frustrate me.
Bonham is coming in the door with a bounce in his step. It is amazing how they gain their comfortability and fun given time. Thank you for the swiss chalet. We all enjoyed immensely! Plus those cannolis - yum.
Simon and Sully dropped in and I will tell you that its as if they never left. It's been quite a while but they are playing and enjoying. I imagine you will see some in the gallery.
Two dogs were supposed to come today but didn't. Hope they are okay and their humans are.
Today we are damp, cold but no snow. Dennis is playing VR in the kitchen. Wish I could take a photo as he has this headset on and is eaving his hands. The dogs I imagine think an alien descended into the house. I looked at them staring and I wonder what they thought.
I want to sit in a recliner withg ipad, dogs and watch something good. I feel damp cold. But I have blogs to do. LOL
the dogs - well they play and play and nap when they desire. Lucky them!
Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 4:22PM Pepper arrived here. It is exciting times for the family. A baby is coming. This is their 1st. Pepper will remain here while everything gets into a comfortable routine. Pepper is mighty happy. Nap - nah - I was too excited to nap. Here she is jumping all over her canine momma. It is wonderful to watch.
Things are white again but we hardly got much snow. It is wet snow so the dogs get soaked. They don't mind. I think I worry about them being dry more than they do. isn't that always the way?
Katie will be going home in about a week as Ruth is getting to go home. She will arrive in time for Ruth's birthday. How wonderful is that?
Benny will be arriving tonight - so exciting and Brewer will arrive in Friday for the day. Alfie may be coming too. Jersey tomorrow too!

It looks white outside but it's really wet, wet rain/snow. I am drying dogs like crazy and they are growing weary of it. Me too.
I also have a stomach that is not happy. Being the frugal thing I strive to be, I ate something old from the freezer. My tummy is upset with me and rightfully so. If something is old, it should get heaved. I learned my lesson.
It makes drying and brushing out a bit more difficult. Oh well, this will pass. Dennis is making turkey stuffed shells and he expects me to eat. Really?
I think instead, I am going to watch tv and snuggle with the dogs.
Dogs are not loving this - get soaked immediately weather. Did the groundhog say an early spring? Maybe I need to watch Groundhog Day.
Good news, enough melt occurred that Dennis could eradicate all the yellow. LOL

We have yellow snow - more each day. We need snow or a meltdown. I hate it. It really bothers me but nothing I can do about it when it ices in solid.
Above is Bailey and Kinsey. Bailey was here for grooming. She had a blast while here. Mr Chester departs tomorrow. He will be missed! Ms Murphy departed today and I thank Sherry for the ice cap with whipped cream and blueberry muffins. Yum!
The dogs don't care about silly things like we do. They just love to play. Inside, outside - they manage that!

The dogs were having a ton of fun. Ignore anything yellow. Usually we shovel spots up but its too hard out there. I HATE yellow snow. I can't hose it off but we try. Pick ax time. So laughing.
Dennis took the photos outside today and I think he captured some real moments - some yellow too but hate to delete and have you miss the special time they have.

Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 4:09PM Dennis did not take many photos today. Every now and then you feel the need to rejuvenate.
It is warmer today. Poor maritimes got hit badly with the storm. I would love to erradicate yellow snow but I am glad its not extreme cold as it has been.
Still, even with warmer weather - well not that warm but warmer, the dogs want to chill inside.
Benjamin and Tia departed. They are missed.
People are starting to make March Break plans. Yes, we are open.
Think Ruth may be getting to go home soon and I bet she will be glad to see Katie. Yes, Katie will be iver the moon even after being here for months as there is NO place like home. I am happy for her and thank you to those that gave us tips on getting everything in place so I could pass it on.
