Upstairs, Outside, Nails and New Dogs

Here is the gallery. I am working on the videos.

Pups had their 1st time without mom at night. They survived. I barely slept - which is norm. I watch them with my ipad - always off and on all night. Only 1 accident all night. they did not sleep all night but they don't at this age.

Today they had a lot of exposure to visitors etc You will see in the gallery. You will probably see in the videos too. That went rather well too.

They also had their nails done and are about to go outdoors again. Tonight they will head upstairs againb at 930 where Raven will feed them before bed and first thing in the morning.

The pups are growing up.

Lots of Exposures

Here is today's gallery.

Pups were exposed to Willow, Stone, Nami and Spirit today. Nami started out well then was too excited and tackling them so out she went. They need to be a bit bigger for her to play with them longer than a few minutes. LOL

Here is the girl above. She remains the smallest but none are large. She doesn't let her big brothers tackle her. She's smart.

Number 5 remains the most social. Number 1 the least but that can and does change. It is too early to see as they are still developing. I do believe after all these years that #5 will be #5. The rest are still trying things out and changing. We will see how it all unfolds.

I will get the videos up shortly.

Tonight the pups will go upstairs and have their st night without mom. It also means they will eat food and Raven will be bursting by the morning. I will take videos and try to upload a couple before I go to bed of their 1st night upstairs.

The pusp are growing up!

First Upstairs Hall Play

Here is the gallery.

As it was raining today, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to bring them upstairs. They were wonderful. They were curious. they explored the tunnels, played with the hanging toys and played with the biggest toy, Nathan. They play with me too but I am the camera taker so you won't see. LOL

Videos are now up. Hope you enjoy!

In one of the videos you will see Raven telling Spirit to be gentle with my pups.

First Night Outdoors: More Added

Pups did exceptionally well outdoors for their 1st time. Little by little we expose them to different things so they feel comfortable with changes.

Here is the gallery.

It was just the pups and I today. We had fun. Videos will get up there tonight. The pups may be without Momma Raven on Monday night. We shall see. If it rains sometime this week, we will do upstairs play time. They are getting rather good at climbing and getting around.

Here is the gallery.

I was juggling cameras, pups and having fun!

Looks Who's Playing With Pups

Raven allowed Spirit to play with her pups and Spirit was over the moon happy. I do have videos and will post in a bit.

Here is the gallery.

Raven watched Spirit but she allowed her to play with the pups. It was delightful. Spirit will be a great mom. Pups are eating and drinking but not drinking sufficient water to go upstairs. Their output is hard so they still need mom's milk at night till they drink more.

We are about to head out again to expose them to night outdoors - well semi night. But they are sleeping so maybe I can finish the last blog. I have completed Spirits and this one and now the main blog.

Changes Today

The xpen has grown in size. They also have food in their pen all the time as well as water. Flooring is exposed in a couple of places. They do not seem to have any issue walking on it in the least.

Here is the gallery.

Outside is getting to be more fun as they explore the areas. Tomorrow we start taking them out twice a day then we will graduate to 3 times a day plus.

I am not able to weigh them as they jump out of the scale. lol

Rave's Crew

Here is the gallery.

So far, the one with personality plus is the one with apricot bleeding through - #5 born. He investigates. He is curious and he wags and wags his tail at you and walks across the pen to see you. Nathan says - can we keep a boy? No, dear. They are all accounted for. LOL

Pups had an outdoor visit - did really well - and are starting to get the idea of this food stuff. They still prefer mom. Of course!

Will get some videos up soon!

First Outdoors Together and 1st Food

Check out the gallery.

Well it was their 1st time out all together. How did they do? Amazing - no fear. Two took to the food with gusto. The others tasted. A number drank water. We will try again tomorrow. I call this an excellent start.

They are really doing well as you can see in the videos.

They have started slowing down in their gaining. That is normal. They will slow down more as they get even more active.

Nathan will be sending out an enquiry on the 6 week visit.

They are 4 weeks tomorrow - wow!

How Old Are They Now?

If you guessed 2 days Before 4 weeks, you would be right if you consider they were born late at night. :-)

Pups are starting to use the pad.

Here is the gallery.

In a couple of days we will try food and then we will start taking them outside then upstairs at night. There are a lot of changes coming.

Low Key Day

Due to my grooming schedule we had a low key day. Not many videos and no walk abouts but pups are perfecting their skills and starting to walk pretty well. I want them solid so when we feed them, they can stand and take it all in.

Here is the gallery.

Raven's milk has started to regulate. She had to be mighty uncomfie for a couple of days. I am ever so glad. She never complained. She just did what a mother does.

We have so many fun things coming up. Outside play, food, upstairs at night, baths and a 6 week visit. What a fun journey this will be.

Walk Abouts and Play

Nathan carried the pups around outside today while I took photos and videos. We did 2 by 2 and the girl was by herself. They all got a chance to stand on the deck and did really well for first timers. As they were walked around, they moved their heads taking in tbhe scenery. No shakes. They were curious.

Here is the gallery.

They are also playing more and more each day. I put my head into the xpen and I literally get bathed in licks and kisses. As their mouths are so small, it tickles. It is a good feeling. The girl had her tail wagging a mile a minute when I go in the pen. She's not the only one but the one who wags her tail the most.

They are starting to walk better and some have actually walked over to the pad to go.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Probably by Monday we will start trying out food.

Nails and Fun

We are starting to have fun with each other. Look at that face on this pup. We also had our nails done - well Nathan did them. They were starting to catch on blankets. You will see in the gallery and in the video.

They are eating well. We keep trying the pads. It is too early but this is how we start conditioning them.

In about 5 days we will start doing outside exposures. Weather is warmer but not hot.

Pups are adorable to interact with. Soon we will start them on food and water.

3 Weeks Almost 1 Day

In order of birth - here they are sitting at just past 3 weeks old. The last boy was yanking on my pants and enjoying himself. They are eating a lot and poor Raven is too full of milk. I am hopeful it will work its way out.

Pups are gaining well. They adjusted without any blips to their new area. They keep trying to walk. They do play with each other at times. They are finding mom at night despite the increase space. Dennis naps and puts them on about 3 times during the night.

We are starting to put them on the pad each time they wake up. I can't wait till we can bring them outside.

Here is the gallery. I will get to the videos in a bit.

Three Weeks Old in New Area

The pups went from whelping box to their xpen with lots of room, toys, a pad, house and comfortable area to spread out to. They are growing up.

Here is the gallery.

The pups adjusted easily. I did upload videos. Sorry about the noise feedback in one. I have to figure out what is not grounded, I think. Not sure. The videos are up now.

The pups are growing up.

Weights and Almost 3 Weeks

First Born Flash Birth 5-7/8oz now 1-8-7/8oz

Wide Mask Tri Birth 7-5/8oz now 1-13-5/8oz

White on Shoulder Tri Birth 6-2/8oz now 1-9-2/8oz

Sable Girl  Birth 5-1/8oz now 1-5-2/8oz

Dark Tri With Apricot Tri Birth 7-5/8oz now 1-11-3/8oz

Here is the gallery.

They almost seem to be too big for the whelping box. They are indeed interacting with each other. I have a truly fun time snuggling and holding them. The next non rainy day I am going to take them outside and walk them around 2 at a time so the can see outside.

If you noticed their ears are now flapping down vs. up. They do seem to enjoy the toys. Tomorrow I will start switching them up. They do react to noises now and seem to be curious.

Toys and Attempts

Here is today's gallery.

I introduced toys and they started to get acquainted with them on their own. It tells me they are curious pups. They are attempting to walk and some doing a good job at the start of this journey. It is interesting. They opened their eyes early and as soon as that occurred, they started trying to interact and getting more vocal. Sometimes they sound like they are purring.

Videos are up now.

I hold them several times a day and I get kisses at times but no reaction to me. Sometimes they are not sure but these pups seem to be okay with new things thus far.

The girl will remain the smallest. She has small features. That doesn't stop her from getting her spot at the milk bar.

Let's see how long it takes for them to try to climb out of the whelping box.

Round and Adorable

Raven is such a grand mom.

Here is today's gallery.

The girl remains the smallest but she holds her own. Now with eyes open, they truly find mom real easy.

Tomorrow I will have to add a few small toys to see if it interests them.

Heading into Two and a Half Weeks

Eyes are all open and the activity has increased. The videos are now up.

There is one boy that is more curious than the rest but that will change but - he's always looking around, making noises and well seems to be a very happy boy. You will have to watch the videos to see.  They all are interacting to a degree. As each day goes by, they will get more and more active. They will test their legs more and more till they climb and we have to take them out of the whelping box.

This is the beginning of such as great stage.

This is the gallery.

All the pups have such cute faces. I am happy to be a part of the journey!

All the Rest Eyes Open

She had slits and would open when she wanted.

He was the most interesting to try to click as he kept moving like crazy. So many blurry ones for him but eyes are open. They have become vocal and have already started to interact with each other.

The eyes have it. In a few days the videos will become interesting.

Here is today's gallery.
