They Survived

The pups survived the pokes. They didn't wince or complain a bit.

Here's a video. The crew had tendons - a treat from Biopaw. We now wait to see if it affects their bowels.

More tomorrow.... time to get them ready for bed. It usually takes me a full hour to get everything done if I am extra fast.

Very Late Return

As you know the pups had their vet visit. They played before the car ride. They whimpered till we got to Bayview (about 3 minutes and really not much fussing - almost under their breath) and then they settled in for the long trip.

We had to stop at Biopaws so I can add some treats to the bags going home. That meant an extra stop before we got to the vet. Then we got to the vet and it was wall to wall standing room only for a bit. Lex (our vet) was sorely behind. So we got in late.

The pups had a lot of people looking at them through the crate and they saw a lot of dogs eye level. No reaction. Just looked. No noise - nada!

Then we finally got in and Lex did a thorough checkup. Here he is checking their patellas. He checks bites, heart, ears, eyes, body fat. Oh and in the boys he also checks private parts. They are in great shape.

They didn't whimper with their first shots but when that microchip went in - oh boy they were not happy and all 3 after the 1st reacted before it went in. Those smarty pants knew. Glad that is over. They may or may not be sore tomorrow as they moved quite a bit with the microchip.

No accidents in their crates both ways. They came home, ate like they were starving and perhaps they were and went out to play. As I type they are fast asleep - all 10.

Jeannie was happy to see them. She is fully done weaning them.

Play Session Before Vets - we always tucker them out before a car ride.

Vet Visit Gallery - I am exhausted so I must admit some may be blurry as I did a select all but just ignore them.

Oh and before I forget the weights are:

Tri Boy 2lb 15.5 oz

Darker Faced Gal 2lbs 8 oz

Creamy Boy 3lbs 1.5 oz

Lighter faced gal 2lbs 14.5 oz

Sorry this was late but traffic was horrid and then we had dogs to play with etc Now I am doing the blogs.

Tomorrow is the Day

Looks like the Spice pup is on top but Jeannie's gal looks like she is laughing. Here's a video from early morning play. Pups are off to the vets tomorrow. For those that don't know we go out to a vet near the big apple. They are highly knowledgeable and worth the drive for us. Inula is also going for a checkup. It usually takes us an hour and a half to get there, and hour and a half to return and about an hour or so at the vets. Its a long day and only the Jeannie pups are going and a week from Friday the Spice pups will go.

They will get their shots, their microchips and a thorough checkup. I will take photos too.

I will let you know how it goes tomorrow night, Updates will be late as we won't be back till late.

Pups are really enjoying the sunshine.

Run, Run

The dogs truly are having fun exploring. They get to go out 4 times a day to simply have fun. They are all running now - both litters as I suspected they would be. I haven't weighed them as they refuse to stay still so I will be interested in seeing how much they weigh at their vet visit. I can't believe that is 2 days away.

Here's some Grass and Outdoor Play

They are eating well and seem to be drinking well. How do you tell on drinking? When their urine is dark you know they are not taking in sufficient water. That is true of adult dogs too. Dogs should ALWAYS have water available but free feeding vs. set times makes training difficult.

Let Me In

Got to share this video. Ignore the mess, the lack of grooming. I groom every day but not at 7am. Pups get fed then and well some of them find creative ways to get back into the xpen. This was the 3rd one that did this. I had to finally say, Nathan give me the go pro. I must capture this. Why did they want in? Jeannie weaned her pups and Spice's who are 8 days behind - well she is still feeding so guess where Jeannie's pups want to be?

Here's a video of outside play.

Well, as you can see they still want milk but Jeannie says, I don't think so. She even cut down on her eating. She knows what to do. With Spice pups being 8 days younger, I assume they will still be eating from mom for a bit. That doesn't stop them from trying to get to Spice.

Out By Ones Siblings

I was washing  few dogs and Nathan took the pups out. He had Jeannie's outside of the pen and snapped a few photos. I snapped the rest of the day but he captured some stunning poses - well I think so.

Here's a Gallery (some are Spice's Pups too).

Pups are off to the vet this Friday. How did that happen so fast?

Here's a video called Day and Night. Pups are really doing well at night and it appears Jeannie has completely weaned her pups much to the irritation of her pups as they see Spice's still getting fed.

They are eating and finishing the food now. Before we had leftovers each meal. Not any longer. No more waste.

Teething

The pups are teething in a huge way so much so that Jeannie refused to feed them the last feeding. They are old enough to be weaned. I let the moms decide when. Spice was caught feeding all 10.

The pups came out at the tail end of the Spice visit so they are in the video. You will have to see it on Spice's blog. They are so much best pals as if they have 2 moms but are all siblings. It worked out rather well and rather smoothly.

Here is a video of the crew. It's a mish mash of play, upstairs and play again. Watch Creamy's play on his back. What a riot he is!

Outside Play

Going to do slim updates due to all the baths etc that I needed to do and I have a few more tomorrow plus the Spice get together. So, bear with me. Here is one video taken today. Inula was in with then today and its obvious she doesn't know where her feet is. The pups are more aware than her. Will wait again till she is older.
