Not Yet a Full Day Old

The pups either held their own or had a slight loss. This is normal in the 1st 48 hours. They are lively. They find mom and are doing well. They LOVE being held. Leti is extra attentive. Perhaps as Cinnamon keeps wanting her pups. This will calm down.

Before Leti had pups, while she was in labour, she went into Cinnamon's pups to try to get them to feed. Now Cinnamon is trying to same.

The videos can be found here. I finally got them up including the delivery of one without realizing. It was that fast. Leti was already cleaning the pup up.

The pups are now starting to gain. Moms milk is in and she is eating. She had an upset tummy - gassiness, loose stools so zantac to the rescue. She's had bacon, steak, cheese, mousse. Previous I had a tough time seeing any milk production. Though pups were not fussy, they were getting enough just not enough to gain. Moms need to eat well to produce milk. Gain, they are within or before 24 hours.

They find their way to mom 99% of the time. leti is attentive. She stares at them and kisses them all over and smiles at me. No lie. It is the cutest!

Here is today's gallery.

I brush them out daily and try to spruce them up sometimes with a bow. They get a massage too. They just melt when I do that.
