Such Play

We looked at the pups today and realized they are growing. All this good food. Today they had steak added to their kibble and the food disappeared faster than a blink of an eye. Can you blame them?

Here is the gallery.

If you introduce new foods early on, as they get older they like a wide variety of foods and it doesn't upset their tummy.

Starting in the next day or so, we will start giving treats here and there to see if any upset their tummy before giving them to you. Some may be too rich at this stage. But this is how we learn how developed their digestion system is at this age. We just give a tiny bit and watch the bowels.

I suspect we will not have an issue with this crew - even the tiny ones. Even their teeth came in early!

When Tuckered Out

It doesn't matter where they are, they can sleep anywhere but they sure do like comfort. What a cutie she is.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Life is grand when you can feel comfort wherever you go!

Still Feeding

Leti and Raven are still feeding. Cinnamon says are you joking? We have the teeth brigade and this too shall pass. Their teeth are coming in fast and furious.

The pups went out to the kitchen early this morning. No toys - just dogs to see how they did and they were fabulous but it was as if they said where are all the people? It was funny. Didn't take photos as it took Nathan and 1 doing a one on one. No one had issues. We will do it again when Dennis is up so one of us can video it.

Here is the gallery.

Pups have been out twice already.

Be sure to check out the videos.

First Baths

Girls have bows, boys ties or a bow tie, This is a tri coloured gal.

This is a apricot sable girl. Shed is staying here.

This girl resides with Raven. She is a chocolate sable. She has a brown nose coming in and brown on her pads.

This tri resides with Raven and he is a boy.

This is Leti's chocolate sable boy.

This is Leti's chocolate girl. She is small and mighty.

This is her 6 that she have birth to but if you talk to Raven, 2 are hers - all hers. LOL

Here is the bath gallery.

After this, I may have a strong gin and tonic. Nathan took photos but changed cameras without me knowing so all the file numbers were out of sequence. May sound minor to you but not when you have to create a gallery and figure out where x puppy is. It has been a day. Hopefully the right pups are in the right places.

All pups did well. I am impressed with all 14 but 1 was a star.

Baths Etc Tomorrow

Tomorrow we have baths and photos. Each will have their individual photo up marked as boy and girl. Many are confused as to who is who. This way you can have a photo reference. But gender and colour should not matter. It's all about the personality that fits with you.

You will get a taste of it on Saturday and then another 2 weeks later.

Nathan is away starting on the 3rd and gets back a few days before the next visit. It will just be Dennis and I. This means the blogs may suffer but hopefully not.

Be sure to watch the videos.

Waiting to Head Back

It is interesting. When they are done playing, they wait for their turn to return back for a nap. They had 2 play sessions in this room now today. They were not nervous about the changes. Oh new place - that's fun!

Be sure to check out he videos.

The pups come out 3 times a day. We try to give them new experiences. They appear to love it.

They each have their own personality but that evolves. We wait till 8 weeks to know how it all unfolds. Right now they are learning bite inhibition, coping skills with changes and exposures. They are developing their skills.

This crew are doing rather well with it all!

Puppy Visit

Someone that couldn't come on Saturday came to see the puppies today. Rarely do we make exceptions. It has to be for a good reason. There is value in being a part of the group but they will be with us for the next visit - what we call the 8 week visit. Mom couldn't sit on the floor as she had a hip replacement recently. We do not allow pups to be held in a chair or as you are walking as once upon a time we had someone insist. The puppy squirmed, fell and hurt itself. We learn. So, on the floor only. They can be squirmy. But I felt bad as everyone should have the experience. I will try to figure out a solution for the next visit.

Here is the gallery.

No one was nervous. Everyone played. Videos will be updated soon. I am biased but these are pretty spectacular pups.

You are going to love them this Saturday. Sunday I may take a nap. Yes, I am laughing. Usually have to be downright sick for that.

Upstairs

The pups are now going out 3 times a day. They also sleep really well after the play. They eat, they play and then they sleep. You will see in one of the videos how wonderful Leti was playing with her chocolate sable boy.

Check out the videos.

They are also trying to stop the pups from non stop feeding off of them. They growl not to be mean but to communicate - no more little ones. They still try. Sometimes they are relentless but in a week or two they will be done and moms can really start the play vs. worrying of they are going to use their teeth on them.

It is a process and each has their own timeline.

2 Of Them

I rarely talk about the two tris of Leti and I am not sure why as yoy can often find them playing with me or in my lap. They are total loves. One that resides with Raven is a boy and the one that resides with Leti is a girl. They both have really wonderful personalities and are really agile. You have to laugh at seeing them hopping here and there. They are going to have marvelous eye brows.

The crew have started coming out 3 times a day. They play for a fair bit.

They are also eating a fair bit of Fromms softened with chicken. Sometimes we have to entice them with Starter Mousse and we did for a few days but now that we bought 2 cases, they are exclusively on the kibble.

Be sure to check out the videos.
