Day 5

Here's today's Gallery. Oh boy it's taking me a long time to do all these blogs.

Pups are 5 days old today. They are gaining well. Mom is feeding them every chance she can. Roxie is doing an amazing job. She is attentive, loving and so proud.

Sarah helps me by helping the Rox feed when she is here so I am not running between pens. It's a comedy skit when I am by myself but it gets done.

Here are their weights:

Boy 1

Dark tail, dark face, pink nose - (eventually that will fill in with pigment)

Birth: 5oz Now: 9-4/8

Boy 2

Tri (going to be multiple colours)

Birth: 6-7/8 Now: 10-3/8

Boy 3

Cream Belly

Birth: 5-3/8 Now: 8-3/8

Boy 4

Dark mask below eyes, Left toe white tip

Birth: 6-5/8 Now: 10-2/8

Girl 5

Red/Brown Sable

Birth: 4-3/8 Now: 6-1/2

Boy 6

White blaze on chest

Birth: 6-5/8 Now: 10-3/8

As you can see they are doing well. My only complaint is I brush the girls out and the pups make them look messy minutes later.

Moms no longer had discharge so I am not having to clean them every time they go out to do their duties. Look forward to when I can bathe them. For now we maintain.

Roxie is a wonderful mom, they all are. Love the eating and treating video. She so deserves a treat while feeding. Beautiful pups. Warms my heart to watch them all. Thank you Sarah for giving a helping hand.

Nice that you have support from Sarah. Mommy Roxie deserves treats.
Her babies are so beautiful.

Watching the babies eat with their tails straight out and wee feet pushing in to mom's body is so sweet. How did Mother Nature make them all so smart? Do you think you will be putting them all together to hang out? Like first cousins?

Wow. They are gaining so nicely. But Boy 2 appears to be gaining slower than the others. They are so beautiful. And fun to watch.

Yeah cause I made an oops. Just corrected. Not slower. Tonight he's 10-6/8 as of 8pm. Slowest is the gal who is small. She's now 7 ounces.

First, cutest apron EVER! Looks like the process of getting Roxie setup for feedings is getting easier. The pup in the Moving Bed video.....oh so cute

Great to see the weight gains for the Spice and Roxie puppies. It is hard to believe that most have come close to doubling their size so quickly. It is so cute to see their tails up as they feed, and to see them using one another to help them access mom. Great to see that looking after them is such a family affair for your family, too, Darlah and that your granddaughter has such a natural affinity for looking after them. Beautiful.

Thank you. It's welcomed as it allows me not to have to run between xpens as I tend to do normally. I now have my video going on my ipad when I am in one pen and watching the others. Before I was just looking constantly that everyone was on. I look forward to having them feed on food as life will be more relaxed about feedings. That won't be till week 4. But hoping by week 3 it's more relaxed.
