17 Days Old

In a day we will be placing them outside of their box. This is the plan but it may have to be adjusted. When these pups reach 3 weeks old (4 days from now) we will be placing them all together. It will effect individual litter galleries and videos but maybe cut down at how many videos I do. I am juggling so I need a lighter load and I will just make less but longer. This way I will be able to invest time in training etc.

Then on the 23rd we will start trying to get them to eat food and drink water. The goal is by the 27th they will be without moms at night and upstairs at night. We need to rearrange the room upstairs as the xpen needs to be larger and set up differently but this is the goal. We may meet, exceed or we need to be patient till they are ready. But... I have a plan.

Yes, we have a size difference but it will be less by then.

When we have the 6 week visit June 4th at 2 different times (Nathan will email all of you), we will take out Roxie and Jeannie pups (9) out first and then we will take out Spice pups for the next portion with each morning and afternoon visit. So everyone will see all the pups. We will have a late morning and an afternoon visit. You will see all pups but not all together as its not smart to do something too busy as your experience will be different with a smaller number.

Nathan will be in touch with you on times etc. We can't set up separate dates as it is impossible. If you miss the 6 week visit be sure to make the 8 week visit. It will be at the exact same time 2 weeks later (june 18). We always have people that have plans or its not convenient but with this many pups, it's not fair to us or shall I say me to have to have many days vs. 1. I need to invest my time in training and assessing them. If I have a number of days tied up with those who can't come, it takes away from what I can do with the pups and it also takes away any down time I may have such as jumping in a pool etc. So please, if you can't come you will have to rearrange your schedule to come on the 8 week visit. Please understand. I do understand schedules you can't get out of but its like a family reunion. If you try to get all your family together you may never have an event if you need everyone there. With each exception we make there are repercussions or something that doesn't get done due to it.

We have plans to get pups in the pool etc. I still want to do everything we normally do. Help me to do that so your pup turns out to be all they are meant to be. This is important to me and it should be important to you.

Darlah I support your visit policy. I was unable to make the 8 week visit but Sam and Elana went. I think your blogs helped me get to know the puppies and the work you and Nathan and your family do for us is to be treasured. Your forever families will have WONDERFUL puppies. Good luck with your plan on merging the pups. Can't wait to see them together.

Can't wait to visit and see the puppies and moms up close and personal. Totally respect that you need to do what is best for the puppies and your family. I really appreciate the efforts you and Nathan take to ensure the physical and mental health of all of the dogs. Looking so forward to the visit.

I am envious of all the new families, you will enjoy the visits so much. We had two sets of visits for our two babes so I anticipate how much fun it will be. I am very happy for all the new families, there is nothing like a Talemaker pup, honestly.
