New Digs: 18 Days Old
Just short of 3 weeks they are spreading their wings. How did they do? They were fascinated by the neighbours. They adjusted quickly and so did momma Roxie. Either tomorrow or the next day I am going to take the barriers down between the litters just during the day to see how they do. I will put them back up if Dennis wants the ease of not figuring out who is who when he is half tired. We shall see. Will they stay together or will they greet the others. It's going to be fun.

Like the other litters, Roxie's puppies seem to be stretching out in their new location, and stretching their legs, too. Great to see them try to work their paws and their tails at the same time. Seems to take a fair bit of coordination. Lots of work for you to rearrange the pens, Darlah, but you must feel pleased to see how well the puppies are adjusting.
I am excited to see when all the pups are together. That will be a sight.
The amount of time we spend touching, and investing in exposures, really helps. I really love all 3 litters. I spend so much time with them that I can't help but notice even small changes. Nathan starts playing with them when they are mobile and coming out for play sessions. I get them from birth till they depart. I may get the huge work but I think I am the lucky one for having the experience from birth till departure.
Darlah - spoken like a true mother!
I agree with Charlene. And I am sure that even though you know they will be leaving I am sure it tugs at your heart. How lucky for all of us that we get to see so many when they visit. They are all so magnificent. Beautiful and so smart. You have to be so proud.
