Rain and Just Me

Well there are no photos today but due to rain we didn't go outside but that's because the human was bathing dogs. Next rain she vows to take us outside so we can get conditioned to it. But today she didn't have enough time to dry us all up.

We were out and about and Panda was feeding her pups. I was curious looking in but my sister was sticking her tongue out and making it ever so obvious she wanted in on this milk bar thing. Too bad this wasn't on video as the human here was laughing her head off. I am glad we enteratin her. :-)

We are now playing for longer periods then sleeping deeply.

We are also now strictly on kibble without mousse. We eat rather well!

It's a Puzzle

The gal was really curious and placed her head in this toy and away she ran. The boy was highly curious trying to figure out what this was about. At this age she didn't figure out how to remove it. Do not leave your pups alone with a toy like this, please.I use it for a minute to test problem solving but never more time than 30 seconds to a minute.

The pups have been weaned off of Mousse. They are simply eating Fromms softened now. They are truly a fun bunch. But with the pups going home they only got out 4 times today and not for the very long sessions we usually do but its not bedtime yet so they will get an adventure upstairs.

Someone asked us about toys on our kitchen table. They are there when we are doing kitchen play and then they get cleaned. We run our washer all day long it seems. I believe in a clean environment so the pups get used to such. If they were allowed to soil where they sleep they would be used to it and that makes training difficult beyond the fact that I find that rather disgusting. So, when I ask for blankets its due to the reality that we use them all. I can never have enough it seems. The goal is to keep the pen clean, dry and comfortable. As they get older more and more floor space is created and less sleeping area. Why do we do this? We need them to be used to walking on different textures. They need more running space as they get older and its easier to run in a smooth surface vs a bunch of blankets. But when they are the age of Panda's crew you surround them with blankets with different heights to help them to climb, to build their legs. Each stage has a goal in mind and you plan the environment accordingly.

8 Week Visit

You never know how the pups are going to react as they are socialized as much as we cam. They spend time playing inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs on purpse to get them acquainted with all sorts of experiences. But this kitchen is a lot of people in a closed area. They did well bouncing around and trying to eat from mom over and over again. They fell fast asleep after everyone departed and is still sleeping.

Gallery is here and here is the video.

Its been a very busy several days. It was a pleasure sharing these pups with you. They are truly a fun bunch! Wait till you see them when they are 8 weeks old.

Videos and Bath

Here are a couple of videos of their larger area. I will also do the bath photos differently. I am going to put up all the wet ones first followed by the dry ones. All did well in the bath and no issues with the dryers but they were not happy wet sitting in a crate waiting their turn. It's easier with 3. Nathan also took all these photos so he is also responsible for the glitches as well as I told him to review and take more but he was busy. No worries we will have bath times again for the 8 week visit.

I had to do baths today as we have a show that I am attending tomorrow. Dennis and Jonathan are holding down fort till I get back. I did not want to be doing baths late tomorrow so I am hoping they stay clean. It is what it is. :-) I can always do a dry bath.

Off to feed Panda pups.

Baths and New Largeness

We all had a bath and will be posting individual photos in a bit. The human here has to wash Roxie and Panda now. Then Inula gets done before bedtime for the show.

The crew had their surroundings made larger. I will take a short video so you can see and add it with the individual bath photos.

How did we accomplish a larger place? While I was bathing, Nathan was rearranging. I had already taken the whelping box out of Panda's area and got them setup. Then Nathan made Abby's area small as she only uses it to eat, sleep and mostly she is playing with the bigger guys. Then he added pieces to the Roxie's crew xpen.

So when he was done and taking photos inbetween and I was washing, drying and doing pads etc the crew was able to settle in with a clean and larger area with fresh food. They have adjusted quickly.

6 Weeks Old Tonight

We are getting so used to this cooler air. They say white stuff is coming but we will see if it happens before we depart. We only have a month to go. We just turned 6 weeks old tonight.

Check out this video.

Mommy still feeds us but she is not comfie as we have teeth. But she tries to accommodate till it hurts too much.

We eat food. We have adapted to upstairs without mom quite well. On Friday we get a bath. It's a huge job for the human as there is 6 of us plus our mommy but they are at a show on Saturday. Sunday our new families come to visit. It's going to be a ton of fun as we are social and we love to wrestle and play.

We are looking forward to it!

Momma's Not So Happy

I can fly!

Logan and the pups. Logan is always great with the pups.

Inula and the pup

The pups have their baths on Friday as we have a show to attend on Saturday. That means I would go to a show and then late at night wash pups after we get home? It won't work so Friday it is.

Here are a few videos:

Bed Time Roxie Pups

XPen Fun

Roxie Pups Upstairs

The pups are a lot of fun. They play their hearts out wrestling and rolling and running. It's different with 6 vs. 3.

Momma Roxie wasn't so happy as she was feeding her pups today and she was cringing. Maybe it is time to wean as they have teeth. Poor Momma but she tries. What a great Momma she is.

Are We Aging

This Sunday we have our first puppy get together. It's going to be fun with this crew. With the coolness in the air they are full of beans.

Here is a video taken this morning. The Inula was not paying attention to her feet but she is learning. They love playing with her unless she gets too frisky. This morning she was also full of beans. It is hard to remember she is a puppy too.

Here is a gallery we took.

The pups are now going upstairs on a regular basis. They are also sleeping without mom now and eating food. Roxie still feeds them about twice or 3 times a day. She remains loving to hers and to Pandas. Panda and Roxie are VERY close and thats so nice to see. They will even lay side by side and feed the pups and help each other out. There is no protecting behavior. It is a wonderful bond.
