Just Over 4 Weeks Old

It seems like there is a HUGE difference in their skills between 3 and 4 weeks and there is. They really do change a great deal in this window. They go from barely walking to jumping up, almost running and rough housing. At 3 weeks they were gently playing and sleeping more.

If you haven't noticed the sable boy is a real in your face with Momma. She turns her back on him to stop and sometimes she appears to love it. Lately Adele is spending a lot of time trying to takeover Roxie's pups. Maybe she sees hers as growing up or she just wants to take care of all. We have some truly outstanding personalities. All different but they will change again between now and 6 weeks and then again at 8 weeks. At 8 weeks you truly get a feel for them.

Newton's Momma made blankets for each puppy to go home with. She will be coming to see the pups with Paula at the approximately 7.5 week time frame. It will be fun showing off both litters.

In a few days we are going to start trying them on food and water.

Now that you mentioned it, the sable boy seems to always want momma's attention.
He is climbing on her face getting her attention. Nice to see the personalities are beginning to show.

Adele is in Roxie's pen so often that I think Roxie does it to say see I can do that too.

So nice to see Adele with Roxie's pups. The pups are looking really healthy and full of life. They sure like playing.
