Puppies Are Here: Saffron and Stone's Beauties

Click on Photo for Larger ViewFirst one born is a girl at midnight plus 1 second if my clock was right. She weighs 4-1/2oz 129g. She is a brown sable and white with a mask. She was born in my hands coming down the stairs from our bed.

Click on Photo for Larger ViewSecond one born is a boy born at 151am. He appears all black or all dark brown. I have to wait till he dries. He weighs 5-1/2oz 156g

One family wanted a girl, another a boy. Let's see what we get for the rest. We will be contacting more families after the pups are a bit older.

Click on Photo for Larger ViewHere are the first 2 born. She's taking her time. It feels like it will be an all nighter. From left to right (boy and then girl). They are both very lively and eating. Now where is the rest?

Click on Photos for Larger ViewThird one is a girl. She was born at 251am. She weighs 40z 115g. She is brown and white. She has a double mask and a spot on her back.

Click on Photo for Larger ViewThe 4th one is a gal. She was born at 3am. She weighs 4-3/4oz 134g. She appears to be a deep brown but may be black. She has lighter colouring on her legs. So far the girls rule. Though that boy is a stunner!

The 4th one was born as she jumped on my lap. All the amniotic fluid hit my bathrobe and legs and voila, a puppy.

Click on Photo for larger ViewSeems like girls rule with this litter. This deep brown one is another girl. She was born at 329am. She weighs 5-1/8oz 146g

Click on Photo for larger ViewSixth one born and I believe the last one is a girl. She was born at 354am. She weighs 4-1/8oz 140g. She has a half mustache, even double mask and a blackspot near the tail. She is brown and white.

Gallery is here.

Check out the videos here.

It's been a very long night. Nathan crawled into bed at 430. I am still up till I can grab a few hours sleep to tide me over till the night.

It was an event filled delivery. All are lively, noisy if they can't find mom and doing well.

I can now go to Montreal not missing the delivery and knowing all are doing well. They certainly all are beauties! I just desperately need sleep. LOL

Dennis will do the night shift tonight. I will be departing tomorrow and Jon will be helping out till I get back.

When Nathan and Dennis get up I will try to get a couple of hours of sleep. Then pack. I will be back when the pups are 3 days old. I will watch the blog and get the idea of how it feels to be you watching and waiting for an update. I will update tonight then it is up to Nathan to carry the torch. You will enjoy his blogs. His sense of humour comes out.

Momma Safi has been cleaned off. She is doing well. She ate ice cream to help with contractions and then she had a bowl of mousse. She is now trying for a nap. That's a wise mom.

Been working crazy hours again and just arrived in Fonthill for the weekend and decided to catch up on your posts before going to bed ... Amazing what you miss in just a week! And holy cow ! Born in your hands! If I remember correctly, her first litter was very easy - hopefully this one, too.

Who's the daddy?

We are still waiting for puppy 2. dad is Stone. You are home late, Christine.

Congratulations to all! Six beauties from Saffron and Stone. Fitting that 5 gals would be born on International Women's day, well done Saffron :-) So happy for you Darlah that you can now go to Montreal with the peace of mind that the litter is born. Enjoy your time. Have fun with your daughter and granddaughters!

Oh my goodness they are stunning!! So happy for all of you that the timing worked out. What an adventurous night. You must be EXHAUSTED. I was so tired when I got home last night that I realize you must have been running on pure adrenaline if Saffi began delivering 3 hours later!
Anne: love you Women’s Day comment😊

Beautiful babies! Congratulation to the new families. Saffron is a good girl, delivering before you depart for Montreal. Maybe she listen to you telling her you gotta go on a trip. That sounds like an exciting adventure, 1st born delivering in your hands while you are carrying her down to the whelping box? I guess she didn't give you a lot of "heads-up", that frisky Safi!

Congratulations to the entire Talemaker family. Oh Saffron and Stone, you did it again! What beautiful pups you create. I am so happy for all the new families. Nothing better than Havanese, imho. Radar (Stone's litter mate) is an Uncle again 6 times over this time. He approves; he has been watching me go through the pics and is smiling. Have a great mini holiday, Darlah, enjoy!!

Huge congrats to you all on all your beautiful new babies! So happy that all went well. Hope you can enjoy your weekend away!
