Day 2: 3 Beauties: Weights Added

Spirit has come out to get hugs a few times today. She is more relaxed.

Her pups are gaining well and finding the milkbar. I will add the weights after I do the 7pm weighing.

Here is the gallery.

I am working on getting the rest of the videos up. I am trying to get them done. Apologies.

The videos will be found here.

They are beautiful and lively!

So sorry that your little one was not strong enough to survive. So very sad😥
Hoping that you will recover after a bit.
Thinking of you both.

The 3 pups are beautiful, as is Spirit!

I'm so happy that the remaining three pups and mom are doing so well.

Not only are the pups doing well but exceedingly well.

Thank you for your thoughts.

It's been a bad year that has to turn around. If it was warm and I had the bloody money to fix the heater on the pool, I would have been doing laps to decompress. I so need it.

It was hard being by myself from 2 to 7am. Spirit was so fretful and grieving that I had hoped she would recover and focus on the living and she did. From 2 to almost 630, I was worried as she was deeply grieving. She tried to get the puppy going. It made it harder on me but she still fed the others. Until I cleaned up and moved the puppy out of the whelping box, she wouldn't settle. Sometimes it is better to leave the pup with mom and other times, they need to be distracted - like humans, I suppose.

They are beauties. I have caught her smiling at them. It does my heart good. She has come to me for hugs and cuddles numerous times today but has not for the last few hours. As much as I enjoy the snuggles, I am glad she is better.

Tomorrow we have a zoom meeting and I must be up for it. As I type, my stomach is doing flip flops. I need sleep and I so appreciate the thoughts. I need to focus on the living too.

Oh, it has been such a wildly emotional year for you all! The pandemic is terrible for everyone, but you all had so many other events piled up on top of it. The resilience of the Talemaker family is amazing! Dear little Spirit - wishing her and the pups well.

What a beautiful picture of Spirit and her babies!
