5 Days Old

The pups are gaining about an ounce in a 24 hour period. Their weight gains are wonderful, at this age.

Here is the gallery.

They pretty much, eat, sleep and move around. They can't hear or see at this age. Everything is capable due to their acute sense of smell. Eyes and ears open about the same time. It can happen anytime between 10 and 18 days but I find they open when it is their time. Mist times it is closer to the 3 week mark. They open their eyes and they are blurry and after a few days after that, they are interactive with each other. It's a fun stage but we have time till that occurs.

This is the stage of growth and strength. Momma takes care of all of their needs. Can you believe it is already 5 days? With only a few days between the litters, it will be easy to merge them together.

If covid cooperates, just before Christmas we will have a puppy visit and another 2 weeks later.

Videos can be found here.
