6 Days Old
Here is the gallery. It's day 6 and I am slowly going CRAZY. I actually yelled at the moms today as it was out of control. All last night every time Dennis left the room, the dogs would bark - mostly Misty so they woke us up each and every time till Dennis was afraid to move. Fun - not.
Then today each and every movement in the house - door, going to the bathroom, dogs going out Misty barked and barked. I remind you that Dennis is TRYING to sleep. He is up cause he couldn't sleep. He will try again later.
Misty did this last time but she has upped the game and we can't allow her to get away with it or we will be prisoners to not being able to even go to the bathroom. Now that is ridiculous. She's a new mom so she is being protective but it started during Halloween and escalated. I tried refocusing and finally I yelled at her and she stopped and has not done it since. I was so upset with her. But Dennis is already up. Nathan is taking his nap now and she has me stressed out. I don't usually yell but no sleep and bark and bark and bark gets to you when you have people trying to sleep.
Good news Sherry brought bacon bits from Costco and the gals are so happy to have it mixed into their food. It actually works. They were starting to get picky. So thank you!
The pups are all gaining. They crawl all over but often are found behind Misty. So, we give a helping hand. Sometimes they all managed to get to the milkbar.
I was lint rolling the blanket today as Misty is losing hair - Sage too. This always happens after pups are born as everything goes to the milk. It settles down after pups are gone. I have thoughts of just shaving Misty down but I waffle and then just trim. But a lint roller works as you will see in one of the videos. The pups are wonderful. Sometimes when eyes are closed the pups react to you handling them. All 11 just snuggle into you. It's an amazing feeling that I wish you all could experience.

I always think when I yell at the dogs to quit barking that they think I’m joining in. “Oh, good, now we’re all barking.” Lol.
Shannon: You are probably right but I think it took them by surprise. They only barked once since and I gave them that look and they went okay, mom - you are taking my fun away. Don't you feel guilty?
I must not yell right because they just keep on barking. Lol. And when they do stop barking they make those little harumphs under their breath like they’re trying to have the last word!
uh oh!! Poor Misty! That was kind of a funny story about the barking, Darlah! I do understand your frustration though! But I still think it is a funny story!
Patt: Every now and then when the door has knocks, she looks at me, starts to bark and goes no fun mom.
