Oh the Play

As you can see meshing smaller with larger worked. Development was on target and they get along just fine. It is more interesting separating them to feed off moms. Willow usually lets everyone feed.

Here is the morning gallery.

I think morning is their most fave as the sun is not too hot. I am washing my gazebo curtains to try to use them to block the sun for the afternoon.

We tried softened kibble and most were not crazy about it. We even added chicken. We will keep trying and we shall see where that goes. This is normal. But at night they will have starter Mousse as we know they love that!

Still Morning

We do take them out twice a day plus their clean up walk about in this room. They are eating more. Mother's are feeding them less. They are playing with toys quite a bit and of course with each other.

Be sure to check out the videos. I am uploading them tonight.

Eating

The pups are doing well on the food. The 1st day their bowels were loose - not runny but loose. Today they are normal. This is normal with the introduction of food. Sometimes it takes longer than a day to adjust. The goal is to get them to eat sufficiently so they can do without moms overnight.

Here is the gallery.

They are ready as you do not even have to coax them to eat. I figure by next Wednesday they will be upstairs. When they are, we watch them on ipads. As you can see the times of my videos, I just do that. Nathan thinks I am nuts but it helps me to know how they are doing.

Dennis is sleeping a partial night now . We shall see how the week goes.

4 Weeks Old 1sts

The puppies had a lot of firsts today. they are now sleeping their longest nap going on 4 hours. Their tummies are also full so they can go that long now. Usually with just mom's milk it is 3 plus hours. It is time for food and all 15 ate.

Gallery is on the Stormy blog. Only one gallery now with all 15.

They also are now all together in one xpen inside. It is easier with 3 as each mom enters. With one you have to separate pups and make sure the right pup goes with the right mom. It's a lot of work but less laundry so a trade off? The socializing aspect that benefits the pups makes it worth it as they develop so nicely this way.

Be sure to check out the videos. You will see inside and out today.

Only Willow was a bit confused as she disn't know what we were doing as this is her first time but she has quickly adjusted.

These 2 were kissing Nathan - yes kissing him up and I managed to have a camera in the same room.

You are going to love the pups. They are really an outstanding bunch.

Here is the gallery.

We have many changes in store for the pusp starting tomorrow. Food, water and outside and hey I have 14 other playmates. LOL

It will be fun!

26 Days Old

I had to clean a bum today on this crew. She wasn't particularly pleased but she dealt with it.

See the gallery.

I laugh at such things as sometimes it is a reality. They are a fun crew and bring much laughter.

This week with warm weather coming we are going to get the pups outside. Now that will be fun!

24 Days Peek

Life is good when you can soak up the fresh air. They now are of an age that their bodies can self regulate so soon the heat lamps will go. They will cope with warm, cool what have you as we do.

Here is the gallery.

I could not coerce Dennis into me doing 15 pups but next warm day maybe Nathan will indulge me. I so love 1sts.

This is the gang that tells mom when it is time to feed. I just laugh and laugh. They think they should feed every 3 hours or less and she thinks its 3.5. I have been timing her. They call her. She checks on them and says not time yet. She's right too as they are rolly polly.

Now off to upload some videos and clean the pens.

23 Days Old

This crew has a lot of fun after eating. They are becoming rather social.

Here are the videos.

They do get from point A to point B easily. Now we will have to test them with less blankets. How dod you think they will do?

Here is today's gallery.

22 Days Old

Willow's pups are still the only one using the pad. It's rather early so we will get there. It's not all either - just a couple.

Here is the gallery.

Dennis says how am I going to figure out which pups belong to whom when they are all together - they are all well most brown. I always get to know them on a deep level as I weigh them a couple of times a day.

Nathan was in with them today and despite my attenmtion he pointed out that the girl has a brown nose and brown pads - a chocolate. Hmm interesting.

The pups are active and theu do so like looking through the bars.

Be sure to check out the videos.
