Bracing Herself

Roxie almost looks like a owl perched on the deck, don't you think?

It's actually Roxie standing real steady with the wind whipping by.

She's looking forward to seeing Benji. I know I am too!!

Next week I may have to do a bath marathon anytime ending before pups come. :-)

Love watching the wind blow their hair and Roxie is so adorable, she has lightened up since we saw her! We know you will have fun at Benji's tomorrow, and we look forward to seeing the photos. It is great to see the pups at their forever homes.

Breeze and Chinook had great runs at the cottage this weekend. They are now fast asleep.

Roxie shows great posture! I too, am interested in seeing Benji's photos and hearing about your visit. I went into their blog and wrote the 2 little girls, but unless I'm wrong, was unable to send it because I'm not a Facebook member, so will wait for Fiona's blogs including Benji. Having said that, I loved their photos and am very impressed w/ their Blog. A wonderful family for sure!!! Benji has an enviable home!

I was looking through your blog for pictures so that I could give them to my groomer. Our little havanese, Bella, likes to run with our sheep and is hard to keep clean and manageable. That being said, I like to keep her hair shorter but not her head/face area. I see in this picture that your dog has a nice rounded face and the hair is layered really well around her nose/mouth area. Any tips on how to accomplish this look?

Melissa: This is a puppy cut. Roxie's hair is not ever cut and that's what it looks like naturally at this stage of puppyhood. I am sure a good groomer can duplicate the look and its easy care and I rather think it makes an older dog look younger.
