Suns Out

Well it's almost night and it FINALLY came out. Nathan is off to a meeting. It's just Dennis and I and the dogs. I did some weeding. The dogs watched with interest but I really didn't do hardly anything in the scheme of things. The thought of nonstop for a year may get this garden in shape. Dennsi keeps saying you didn't do this and you didn't do that and I say who has time?

When we groom they all stand in the hallway waiting their turn. This was today and boy they needed something. :-)

Logan enjoyed playing with the pups.

Raylan for some strange reason wasn't interested today. The pups tried and tried and he just wanted out so that's where he sat watching. I think he was more interested in watching.

I was weeding to the right of Pepper and guess who was under the deck? Scruffy went under to get a toy Dennis threw the wrong way and Pepper just stared intently as if to say you are too big for that now? Scruffy found he could have his toy under the deck, lay there and no one would try to take it. Smart boy. Not even Pepper tried. She just watched and watched waiting till he came out to pounce on him and finally she got the opportunity but I didn't catch it with the camera.

This was a plant that we wintered inside and it needs to be cut back. Monty finds it to be a curious thing. I am not sure he knows what it is and in the state it is in I am not sure I do either. My excuse is I am waiting for the rain to stop and then I will start gardening - yeah right! Okay I am waiting for 36 hour days? We will get there.

Dogs were happy that they got some time outdoors today for walks, for play. We had some rain but nothing like it has been and tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and warm. Looking forward to what we can do tomorrow and tonight!

I am sure Monty is plotting ways to eat your plant, Darlah. He's a slow, methodical schemer who knows when he's being watched!

Oh my Scruffy ! He lately has been hiding under things like the beds or the bench or he goes behind the couches. Curious behaviour as it is a relatively new thing. So I'm not surprised he went under the deck. Pepper usually just watches from nearby with a look of Really Scruffy? Again? She is much too pragmatic for silly things like that.
Wonder what he will think of next?

Lori: I think he wanted the toy without Ms. Pepper Pot trying to get it. It was the intelligent thing to do. I actually put her out in the hallway with the smaller guys and played retrieve with Steven and My's 3 and Truffie and Scruffy. She was BESIDE herself. Then I put the others out in the hallway and reversed it and he could care less. I just about died laughing. She was in such a tizzy that Spice said ENOUGH! She did listen to her.

Steven: hahahaha well then he had many opportunities to help me weed but other than pounce on the weeds I was pulling they didn't enter his mouth. Now the puppies was a different story.

I think tomorrow I will start cutting it back so it can actually grow properly and see how he reacts to it. He's always looking at it as if its a UFO or something. It does sort of look like some monstrosity at the moment.
