Fun Was Had Indeed

We have a couple of videos of Ollie and Willow. Check them out here.

You will also see them in the gallery along with the other dogs. Nathan took a few on his phone that he will have to share with the parents. They had a total blast!

These two played and played but Elvis joined in then Misty and on and on.

Today, Ziggy went on the 1st step of the pool. It was warm today but we didn't swim as we had way too much going on. The air guy was here for 3 hours so I was outside with the dogs playing with them while Nathan handled the air guy.  During that time, I said, Ziggy, get out of that pool. We do not allow them to swim unless we are in the pool. Well, Ziggy looked at me and proceeded to jump off the steps and swim. I was not too happy but to be honest he was. He rolled all over the couch and rather enjoyed himself.

Cara was attacked by a schnauzer in her neighborhood not long ago and what do we have here? 2 schnauzers and she is fine with them. It is a positive after a bad experience. So, I am glad we can give this to her. Jeannie knows her even though she hasn't been here for awhile and she has been looking out for her. It is rather nice.

Bria has been playing with all. We got Shoshi's test results back and she is fighting something so we are doing a urinalysis next Wed to see what that brings. She also has the start of heart issues that has presented itself. Old age does this. Always something with the older ones.

Fitz is starting to get very comfortable. He has started to play especially with Bria.

Our air conditioner and heating system is dead. We now have to call an electrician to fish new electrical lines and we may have to replace the panel as it may be fried. This is going to be costly. We have no idea when he will have the time to come. Bonus - poor dogs and us if we have heat but that means fans and cooling pads and swimming. We also have to pick up our pool equipment up but we do have an old backup that is not as effective but better than nothing.

Our pool house roofing caved in. We had a leak in the wall inside and therefore damaged downstairs. We could go on. It's a tad overwhelming but it is what it is. Now I wished we didn't order the sink but we did and we can't cancel without losing our deposit - half the fee. The van also needs repairing but we will figure it all out.

Scruffy and Pepper has been a pleasure, Dryers running in the house - not a good thing but they kept going under our Japanese maple where Dennis emptied pots under. It's stinky - and well they needed baths. So, we opened the window, and we sweated and they dried fast. Treats they loved and now they look 100% better. I was cringing at sending them home like that as they were not slated for baths. Mother nature and dogs - always laughing at the fun and trouble they manage to get into. I wouldn't have it any other way despite the work. They are so worth it!

I got my Ridalco laundry sink in tues and I got it installed today, it looks beautiful. Don't you regret getting one, you did say your cabinet was crumbling, you were going to need to replace it anyway. I got a plumber in, Tom again is too busy, retirement, yeah sure!
I will send pictures once I get everything organized, Tom insists I get a wire framed mobile shelving unit. Might only be after a quick trip out east to Nova Scotia next week, short notice. Doggies coming too, trying 2 days drive instead of 3, they will be long days.
And I have to get all my plants, and my dad's done before we go. I hate last minute stuff, happens all the time.

You got yours fast - congrats!!! Photos. Did they call you when done? Haven't heard a thing on ours except if we cancel we lose the deposit.

I have a wire frame shelving unit in my corner for my towels and some shampoo/conditioner. I also have a beauty supply trolley that I adore for supplies.

Have a safe trip and can't wait to see photos when you have time. I am excited for you! Such a fun drive but not rushed, I imagine.

Wow Darlah everything seems to be going. But I agree you should have the most comfortable and accessible sink. You do so many dogs every day.
With regard to the Vet fees, it was $640 and it was for shots, 2 needles and 1 by drops in the nose. They checked his pooh and they took blood. But I also got meds for heart worm and tics until December. The total was $640. So if you don't get the meds it would be cheaper. I will find my invoice and let you know about the cost of the meds. I do not want to give meds all year. She said it is something they are considering. I don't think extensive blood tests were taken. I go along with what our vet says. I don't know anything really. I rely on Darlah Nathan and the Vet. Now we are getting ready for the teeth! Darlah it would be interesting to know about Michelle.

We got the email for pickup from H20 on Monday afternoon. Markings on the sink is dated April 2019, relatively recent, and it was a standard size, not custom. It was not heavy and it fit in my Honda HRV, seats down with no problem. Plumber was impressed with the sink, nicely made and stainless steel too.
Hope yours come soon, maybe go for a drive to pick it up, save the shipping costs.
That drive to New Glasgow is 19 hr total, without the doggies. Add on extra stops for the dogs, it's longer now. Leo and especially Pixie don't like being in the car, nervous most times even after doing mini drives to my dad each week. Poor doggies!

Ollie the sweet potato boy had the best best best day. He’s still tired!! These pics of him and willow are adorable. I posted on Instagram. They truly look like they are smiling! Ollie loves his auntie willow lol.

As ours is custom, I imagine it will take at least a couple of more weeks. We ordered ours on May 17th so you ordered yours in April? I figure we won't hear till mid June. they offered drop to house or pick up in Ottawa. We save 250 to go into Ottawa to get it but then there is gas - and all day 9 hour trip. We still have not figured it out. Not sure the savings is really there when it costs us over 100 for gas round trip. I like saving 150 and I don't like Nathan doing that trip by himself. The relatives will get upset if he doesn't say hi and that will tack on time. Nathan for well over a year - sometimes with me - most times without due to dogs went in and visited his late mom from Thursday night to Sunday night while she died. Then there was dad. That trip has way too memories - none good. I am thinking to ship to the house may make sense. We shall see.

We ordered on Tuesday May 14 and got email ready to pickup Monday May 27, less than 2 weeks. They said maybe 2,3 weeks.
With all your troubles recently, yes maybe the delivery might be worth while and therefore less added stress.

Rochelle: The duo had a total blast! He's such a beauty!

Thanks Darlah - so sweet. He’s been tired literally all day today - that was his exercise for the week lol he pulled the leash on our walk to go home after 5 min. Today.
Have a wonderful weekend!!
