Love Blooms

Chloe loves Stone. Everyone seems to love him.

Fergus loves Chloe. These 2 have really bonded to our son Dennis so you will see a few photos of them sleeping on his bed and chair in his room. They are doing really well.

Cooper and Spicy has arrived. Trigger and Levon will depart tonight.

Weather is awful when it comes to grooming. We had snow then rain then cloudy. That %$%^ Sky got into the mud again. What am I ever going to do with her? I may dress her up and see how that goes. LOL

Here is today's gallery.

Stormy remains totally in love with having Ajax here. Ajax likes to go in the puppy pen to play with the wee ones and then he has had enough. His fave was Poppy who departed.

I am still sick but better than yesterday. It's debatable on how much but progress.

Dogs played a grand game of hide and seek and almost all got it but not all. We will keep playing each day to see if they catch on. Dennis also does a wild game of run upstairs when its wet like this and it sounds like the running of the bulls. They look forward to it so much and expels their energy. Maybe that's why Dennis stays so slim.

Maybe I need to start running... again...

Oh and we have hail coming down at the moment. Thankfully we have gazebos. This way they can go out and they won't get pelted and we won't either!

Broken Record

Today I crawled into bed and I am not doing well. After this departure I am going to crawl right back. Thing is Nathan needs to as well.

It's a no photo day. Nathan didn't comb anyone out - its usually me. I got them done. I need to be better tomorrow.

No Gallery Day: I Lied

Too sick to do a full fledged blog. Everyone is well, Bria heads home today.  Weather is rainy then cloudy but warm. After I do the chocolate gal, I will crawl on to the couch with dogs. Now Beni is departing. Hoping tomorrow we all feel well.

Okay, after everything that went on today,  I haven't laid down yet as I had all sorts of things to do. I had to wash Sky while Nathan napped. You see, Sky ran through the pool water sitting on the cover. Then she swam on it. Then she ran for the dirt that was mud and then through the cedars. All the while Dennis was telling her to stop.

Here is today's gallery.

He carried her inside miffed out to the max. He knew I was sick so he was going to wash half of her. I went to look and it was a full out bath time. She had algae, sticks, dirt all over her. She was a major disaster and to say she didn't have fun doing it would be a lie. I was NOT up to washing her but you do what you must. I am not sure why we had algae - 1st time but glad its gone and we may be opening earlier than later - well that's my excuse.

No one else did this thankfully and our pool pump arrived and Dennis pumped all the water off the cover.

Dennis birthday is the 17th and he reminds me it often snows on his birthday so don't open it yet. LOL What a downer he is!

Dogs are having fun. Me, I am going to lay on the couch. I must.

Rain and Balmy Weather

We have so many dogs named Charlie these days - boys and girls. This is Charlie boy! He had a great time running - yes running through the water on the pool cover and then went straight for the garden. He was a mess. One has to laugh.

Teddy has departed. Bria, Trigger and Levon arrived. Tomorrow Bria departs and so does a Saffron baby.

Bria likes to eat up on a chair.

Here is today's gallery.

Dennis is sick now. Nathan is getting better but is still sick and napping. I have chills - they're multiplying. LOL I am going to take a stiff drink after grooming (still on my plate) and blogs and chase it out of me. I have no time for sick.  I have a wedding to go to on Saturday!

In 9 days it is Dennis birthday and I told him I am going to send him out to eat, to a movie with his brother and he can do nothing but what he wants to. He's talking about pumping the pool off. LOL So I told him start now and by next week it will be water free on top of it.

The dogs find the water fascinating. It makes grooming interesting. So, Dennis now has a goal of having it done before Thursday.

We have a pool pump that is supposed to work fast that is coming tomorrow. LOL Not a sump pump, not a ultilty pump - a pool pump. Why didn't we have thsu years ago?

Plus Spirit just got brushed *see how she messed herself up* and is heading downstairs with Roxie and Jeannie with our son Jon. She's in full blown heat too.

The Sisters and Play

Here is today's gallery.

I believe the sisters know each other. They have similar mannerisms. It's fun to watch. They even eat side by side. It was ground sirloin added in so they never left their bowls. The pups got a treat too.

Chester and Lexi have been playing up a storm. But I noticed them both as I just combed them out.

Rosie and Ali has been playing like crazy.

Teddy is departing tomorrow. No pups are going home. We resume on Tuesday.

Trigger, Levon and Bria is coming - Charlie too for a grooming. Going to be a fun house tomorrow too.

It was a nice day out and as Nathan goes out to pick up output and we have had the great melt - still some ice left, he decided he did an excellent job picking up on sight this winter. You never know with snow. Bravo Nathan. LOL What a thing to celebrate but really its so important to pick up on site. Come true spring you will be glad!

Clean Up

We do clean up daily. LOL This is Charlie's last day. He departs shortly. He has made some serious friends. It is so nice to see how this senior plays like a 2 year old. We look forward to your future visits.

We never found his toy so he has 2 waiting to go home with him.

Here is the gallery that Dennis took.

We have Molly with us - Stella's sister and the siblings are getting reacquainted. Stay tuned to tomorrow for photos. I have been falling down with photos as I have had so much going on but the dogs never get the short end of the stick. My galleries and photo clicking does. :)L

It was a blamy day. Dogs were playing their hearts out.

Nathan is still sick. I am congested but not much else. Nathan does not do sick well.

A few dogs spent cuddle time with the sick one for his nap. They are probably not in the gallery but are rested. LOL

Playing Hard

Playing hard and messy as all get out. It's why I like to wait till about this time to do combouts but this dog actually had a combout BEFORE the play. I shake my head. I guess I am going to do her again tonight.

This is a no gallery day. I apologize. I will play catchup. Nathan is in bed sick and has since Pablo departed. I got pups to take out and I have dogs to combout.

When pups go home, it gets extra busy.

Two Updates

https://benjaminsparkmemorialchapel.ca/ServiceDetails.aspx…

Early this morning we heard from Susan Ginsberg that Larry passed away. With much sadness we share this news to those of you that know Larry, Susan and Molly. They never missed a Woofstock visit. The picnics with all 3 were always wonderful! We so enjoyed our conversations, the mutual love of the unique Molly and the so many stories over the years. Our hearts are broken with this loss.

Laugh Out Loud

This is Charlie's laugh out loud moment.

Here is today's gallery.

We do not have many photos today. Yes, they all played but  we had baths for Meelo, baths for pups departing, combouts even though they look like I haven't touched them for a year, I did. lol

Nathan is sick. I think he caught it from Brewer's dad. hahahaha  I am starting to get sick. Nathan is in bed with dogs. Will he get rest? He needs to be well for tomorrow.

It is what it is but rest assured the dogs had a blast today but I may lay on the couch too. LOL

Dr. Orders

Rest knee in recliner so Stella says - but this chair is MINE. Okay, I will share.

Here is the gallery.

We had strange weather today. We had snow then rain then major winds all throughout the day off and on. The dogs are not crazy about this much wind so we timed it to get them out to play each lull that Mother nature gave us.

They had a blast despite what the weather threw at us.

But as you can tell, I am late on blogs so that means I have been extra busy today. What's new?

The Magic

Have a treat in hand and chances are you will look and appear to be posing.  Shlomo says, "why you taking so long?"

Shlomo, Murphy and Benji departs today and Chester arrived.

I need to groom some more dogs but I wanted to get done blogging before 8pm. Stella was hanging out with Charlie today. This is Charlie's week and I am givging him a new toy as his seems to be taken off by the squirrels as we still have not found it. It's in an alternative reality.

Here is today's gallery.

I finally got a dematting done that has been taking days. It's been a day but at least the dogs are having fun!

It looks gloomy outside. It's not all that warm and well it sure affects your mood.

Nathan had something fall on his leg and he has a bruise from his knee to the top of his thigh and its swollen. Did he ice it? Nah - well only for a few minutes. the dogs keep climbing ll over him and his leg to make sure he is okay. Well, they care!

Still

Tenshi is saying really.... this white stuff is well wet and sticks to my feet. LOL

Harper wants to give you an ahhhhh moment. He is being attentive to his new baby brother. Mazel Tov!!!

Dogs had fun today. Here is the gallery.

Raven's Willow was here for a bath and play. She had a glorious time. You will see more photos of her and videos in the 3 crew blog.

New relationships are developing. Play is abundant.

Murphy, Benji and Shlomo departs tomorrow. Chester arrives.

I want to take a nap. LOL Roxie is in heat... sigh not being bred but 3 weeks of boy craziness.

Snow Wet Snow Really?

Stella got soaked outside and looked at me to say, really you are going to dry and brush me out again - really? Well, we have to get those snowballs off but you get a treat and hugs so well worth it.... don't you think?

Yes, the snow outside is the snowball type. It sticks on them and needs to be washed out, brushed out or combed out. Let's hope this is the last snowstorm. Tomorrow is April.

Here is the gallery.

Still, it didn't stop them from running and creating snowballs all over them. They had fun so truly its worth the effort.

Ella was presented at a judges education seminar today. She was wonderful and they couldn't believe how much coat she had left considering she had pups. She hasn't been in the show ring in quite sometime but she remembered.

Dogs are truly a cohesive bunch. Tomorrow I am going to try a new method of dematting with a high velocity dryer. I didn't know he was matted till he arrived. Have to stop dematting or find a new method. We shall see how it goes tomorrow.

I want to finish the blogs and relax and snuggle with dogs.

Messy is the Name

As it was raining today, the crew was wet and muddy. I still have a few dogs after blogging to do.

Nathan is getting ready for a presentation to the judges and I am doing the blog and so many other things but feet is one as that nice clean floor is a muddy mess now. Dennis says, I am not cleaning it again till bedtime. I can't blame him.

Here is the gallery.

The gazebo helps for those that stay under it. It doesn't for those who think that mud is fun. I know we will get the pups out and no, I don't want them to head for the mud for you but rather not be afraid of it so one rainy day before they depart, I will be taking them outside and we will see how it goes. I know for me it will be adults plus pups but as this is spring, we need to truly get them used to mother nature.

There are muddy mats they can walk on and cleaners for each paw. Its impossible for me if 5 dogs walk in the house at once and making them stay outside till each one is done is sort of defeating. But for you with 1 or two, it truly is much easier than what I do.

Today, Scruffy, Pepper, Harlow, Frannie, Charlie and Gucci departed. Lots of grooming. Lots of fun to miss.

It's been a fun day but boy do I have dogs to do. Then cuddles and sleep - my best time. Nathan brags this one cuddles with him and that ones does. Yeah, they snuggle with me too. hahaha

Last week next week with Charlie. Ali will miss him - us too!

Ice Melting

The rain is coming but today, other than ice, the weather was balmy. I just NOW finished grooming everyone. Some this morning and then throughout the day. I had 6 dogs to do plus puppy clicking and playing and now blogging. I did manage to get everyone combed out though the gallery you may see some but not all in that state. Just know fun is to be had. Scruffy was one I brushed early but he doesn't look like it. LOL

Here is the gallery.

Dogs had a blast today but I sorely need to stop blogging and relax as tomorrow is extra busy too.

Nathan is getting ready for a Judges presentation on the standard. He will be showing Ella on Sunday. So, we have certificates to print out and handouts and all that fun stuff. Also, I am dealing with missing files on my hard drive. Don't ask. I don't want to talk about it but of course they are files that would take me hours to redo literally. Not going to think about it today. Well, not anymore.

Tomorrow we have the puppy visit and 100% chance of rain. Joy mud.

Tomorrow and Sunday most depart. It's been a truly fun March Break.

Muddy Day

This photo is endearing. Look who is kissing, Charlie - Stormy. I find the moments between the dogs quite nice.

Here is today's gallery. If you want to see Ozzie and Ollie with the pups, check out Saffron's blog.

They played outside and came in with muddy paws. They played indoors and I didn't have to wash their feet. One has to laugh.

Cold, warm, rainy all in one day. Mother nature is having fun. the dogs do not mind until the hail and rain comes down. Can you blame them?

Murphy, Coach, Sassy, Marlee and Sadie departed today. Quiter...sigh the after March break syndrome. Ozzie and Ollie came for a bath, cleanup and play and boy did they play.

I tell you Charlie is at it again with Ali. So much fun - these 2. They start in the morning and end at night.

It's wonderful to see the dogs play!

Off to finish 1 more dog tonight.

Time for Home?

Sorry folks for being so late but I was supposed to do 2 dogs tonight and only got 1 done. I start in on the next at 8am. Oh boy...

Here is the gallery.

It's busy on vet day and we are getting ready for the 8 week visit plus Nathan has a seminar he is doing to show the judges the breed and what the standard is. So busy - busy. I live for Monday - I think.

This blog is going to be short. Pippin went home tonight. He has a dream coat and was very easy to do. I did him before the vets. I told his momma I would post a photo of him so she could see what he looked like groomed. I brushed him out again and he got so excited to see his human mom that he didn't look like he did above. LOL

Miss Daisy also departed. I was busy when you left. Sorry I didn't get a last snuggle in. Till next time!

Grooming and Then Some

This is Archie with Nathan. I have had a VERY busy grooming day. I had 11 pups, 7 dogs to do plus comb out the visitors. I still have 1 to do but I need to take a break for 15 minutes. Archie is a beauty! He's such a lovely dog.

Here is the gallery. You will see messy dogs, groomed dogs. It was a take photos in transition sort of a day.

Radar and Patches was here for the day. Did manage to get them combed out. Radar is a play monkey. Patches loves to snuggle with Jeannie. Nathan took some photos of them and they were mighty blurry - or maybe it was Dennis. Not sure but unusable. I was disappointed but life happens.

Elvis, Archie, Winston, Adele, River and Ozzie departed today. Tomorrow Daisy and Pippin and we have a vet appt. Mr. Charlie arrived. Busy day but a fun day!!

A Missing 4th BDAY Photo

Hi Darlah and Nathan,

Hope all is well with you and the family.

Thought I would send you an updated photo of Leonardo (Leo)

He is doing very well and is as spunky today as the day we picked him up. Always on the go!

Can't believe that he is four years old already. Time flies for sure!

If I'm not mistaken Darlah is also celebrating a birthday! Happy Birthday Darlah.

All the very best,

Leo and Family

Thank you, Mary!!!
