Play In and Outside

Charlie and Mickey played up a storm, I am told today. I was out today with Sherry.

Here is the gallery.

Tonight Archie arrived. No photos of him till tomorrow as he just arrived.

Short blog as suggested yesterday. I came in the house running. Meaning I arrive and kept going so ....

The day was fun and worth it. Poor Sherry has a pulled back. Not fun so we slow motioned it. Hope she is taking care of herself and taking pain pills. May tomorrow be pain free. Here is hoping.

Clicking Today

Just gave Sage a bath today (Saffron baby). I bet she doesn't stay this clean for oh 2 hours? That's a generous timeframe.

I also gave a bath to Sky (Ella Baby) and Ali (Cinnamon Baby). Ali was the only black tri in the litter.

Here is today's gallery.

Sky and Ali are already making sure they are natural disasters. It's what makes them so endearing.

Tomorrow I am going out before the onslaught of litters when I won't be able to at least for a couple of weeks. Sherry and I are going to a Japanese dollar store. So updates will be 1 photo and some words on all 3 blogs. It's the only way I really get a day off. LOL

Elvis and Sage get along famously. She jumps all over him and he loves it.

Tomorrow Abigail and Bentley depart. It was a great visit. Abigail snuggles up close with me at night. Dennis watched the pups so I could do TV time with Nathan and Abigail was one of the dogs laying all over me. It was delightful.

It was a cold day today. No paw lifting day but cold. Guess that spring like weather is gone. At least its better than cleaning up muddy legs and under carriages. Someone likes me today.

Finally a Dusting

We finally got a dusting of snow. The dogs love it.

I also got to clean up Abigail. You will see her in the gallery. She looks better. :-0

It's quieter here after the mad rush of the Christmas Break.

Elvis was exceptionally pleased with the snow. The pups were too. I miss Risa's snow angels. Oh well. It's funny how moments remind you of beings.

Roxie is looking quite blah despite having a bath yesterday and looking gorgeous. It is amazing what a day does. Truffie had a bath 5 days ago and looks like someone dragged him through the wringer even though I have been combing him out. I love these havanese. 2 minutes if you are lucky they may look stunning then they have fun. I think I prefer the fun!

Rainy Daze

This is Ms. Abs. I don't groom her normally but I am busy shaping her up here and there before she has a bath and departs. Ms. Abs is Roxie's mom and therefeore Ella's grandmother. That means Ella's pups are her great grandchildren. Do you have that all down? LOL

Here is today's gallery.

Bentley, who she lives with looks awfully like Momma Abigail and he is also in the gallery.

Today we had Leo visit us. He's not one of ours but came to socialize. Charlie played with him and so did Willow.

Elvis and Oreo has been having a great time. We are quieter as we get ready for Cinnamon, Ella and Saffron. Oh boy.

On Friday I go out before the onslaught. No grooming Friday - zilch. I did groom today. I am also doing my own. On Sunday we have someone coming to see if they are allergic to the havanese. It means I want them either not bathed or bathed early so we get a good indicator of allergies. Does that make sense?

Saturday Bonnie comes for a visit. We can't wait!

Slower times but needed before craziness. Still want to finish my desk but....Want to throw magazines out in my bathroom - silly stuff. We shall see. Never did get my classes online done. Got one on dogs I am keen on doing but its 30 hours. LOL

Playing Catch Up

Slowly I am playing catch-up with my dogs. Visitors always get baths during busy times before my own. Instead I do one here and there. Today I did Roxie. My almost 8 year old gal. How did that happen?

She is a true apricot sable. Her coat gets light and goes dark - back and forth throughout her life. Only sables do this. Ms Abigail, her mom is visiting us and she turns 12 this year. Wow!

Here is the gallery.

Cinnamon, Ella and Saffron are getting big. Stay focused - summer off. It will be fun but a lot of work. Just a reality.

Coco, Charlie, Chester and Lexi depart today. I have to say Chloe, Lexi and Charlie the pups got everyone going and oh boy does Charlie like to try to play with Oreo and lately he is playing back. Persistence. Oreo is a senior so this is quite nice!

Everyone plays well with each other. But I was watching Ali with Cinnamon, her mom and oh boy i would have swatted her if I was Cinnamon. She kept jumping in her face and literally grabbing her hair. You wonder why Cinnamon's hair is choppy... and Cinnamon has the patience of Job.

First Sunday of 2019

When you retire - is this retirement, you have to look at a newspaper or your computer at times to know what day it is. I have become like a dawg. Each day is another day without a designation. Maybe that is a good thing and the dawgs have it right all along.

Here is today's gallery.

This is Spirit, a Leti puppy and she was actually brushed this morning. I like her unbrushed.

Today, Rocco, Bissli, Chloe, Murphy and Dallas departed. Abigail and Bentley arrived. Abigail is Roxie's mom. Bentley is Abigail's son. Tomorrow more and then it gets quiet. Tuesday I am not going to groom and may find a couch. As I type I am feeling like I am truly getting sick. So, orange juice, cold meds at bedtime to chase it out of my system.

I am yawning. So short blog?

Dogs are starting tv time. You say what? They love tv time as the tv room (used to be a diningroom) has all sorts of blankets and spots to cuddle in. After a day of playing they love to chill. They always look forward to tv time. Maybe its the cuddles or us relaxing. Dogs like it when humans relax. It gives them permission to as well.

Playing Your Heart Out

We have puppies here playing their hearts out. Let's see, Chloe, Charlie, Lexi plus Chester who thinks he is a puppy. Sure all the rest play too but today when I had my camera in hand, this crew was playing hearty. I wish I could leisurely capture all moments. They would make you smile.

See the gallery.

We had a day of play and more play. Everyone will sleep tonight.

Lots of grooming. It was one of those days that I got everyone combed out and as I did another dog the previous one looked like I never touched it. All you can do is know they do not have knots and laugh about it. They stand in line as I do as they know it means a yummy treat.

I can't believe it is Saturday. Trying to get blogs done so I can play with pups, snuggle with dogs. How about you?

It's Melting

This is Leti and Oliver, Oliver departed today. Both had baths and I have to say trying to keep Oliver from dashing out the back door to play was - well it was a miracle he didn't. He was determined to get wet and messy.

Here is the gallery.

Chewie and Riley arrived for just overnight. Zoe and Noah departed. Finn departed and Chester arrived last night. Murphy arrived this morning. By the 7th it will get much quieter. By then Stormy's pups will be 1 day shy of 4 weeks and will be attempting to eat plus starting play sessions upstairs and Raven's pups will be 4 days less that. I will attempt to try to find exercise time. I have a lot of online classes I need to do before they expire but if I carve out 1 hour for me, fat chance I will get to carve out anything else. To be honest when the other litters come it may all go south. LOL We will figure it out.

The dogs are highly playful today. I am trying to get blogs done before bedtime. Nathan is taking his much needed nap. I need one too lol

It's Friday. Tomorrow I have grooming all day long - Sunday and Monday too. Tuesday I am taking off time from grooming. I must.

The boys are emptying cabinets in the kitchen. I don't want to know.

It's the start of weekend!

Just know the dogs are having a blast despite any craziness!

Better Late Than Never

The Finn BoySorry late night and they may all be like this till departures.

Here is the gallery.

As you will be able to tell, we had a blast today. The dogs were playing their hearts out. It is a truly outstanding group of dogs. Lots of work but lots of joy.

More tomorrow. LOL

Dusting Play

I have to laugh at Tenshi's expression. She sure loves to play! She is also competitive.

Here is the gallery.

We had a wee bit of a dusting of snow but the dogs played more inside than outside.

Dennis tried to get night shots outside. He is trying. :-)

Murphy, Moseby and Tiny departed today. Tomorrow Socks and Maggie leaves us. We do miss them when they go.

The dogs are in fine form as they are playing nonstop. They also get more excited about cooked ground meat than chicken added. LOL

New Year 2019

Shady and Nora say Happy New Year everyone!

Lexi is saying hey Happy New Year. It's a cold one too so NO mud. Hooray! Lexi is a crazy play monkey. We have a few of the younger set visiting and they are full of beans.

Here is the gallery.

I can't believe it is 2019 already.

The dogs are having a ton of fun. Amy, Lexi and Murphy departed today plus Adele and River.

Today, I washed Spirit and Willow. Yes, my dogs get baths too. heh

We still have a full house till Monday.

Dogs are playing inside, outside. They are having a blast. We could learn a thing from them. We need to play more????

Here's hoping everyone has an amazing 2019!

Last Day of 2018

We haven't seen Dallas for awhile so it was great to play with her - what a treat.

Here is today's gallery.

We end this year with rain, rain and more rain. Dogs are a messy mess but tomorrow is a new day. I have groomed so many dogs. Just finished Oliver who had a wet backside from playing in the wet outside. See, I thought I was done but I was not. Tomorrow I have a few more that will depart so tonight - NOW -  I take a break. I end this year exhausted - honestly exhausted. But the dogs make me smile.

We have quite the play crowd this year.

Lots of baths and haircuts before they go home - most not till next week.

We at Talemaker wish you all the best in 2019. May it be the best year yet!

Cool with Rain Coming LOL

It was cool enough for the dogs not to bring in mud today. Hooray! They say rain is coming tomorrow. Boo

Here is today's gallery.

It's a crazy holiday season. We have a full house but a fun one.

It doesn't get quiet till the 8th of the New Year.

I was trying to figure out what to do for New Years for the dogs.

I may have to send Nathan out for a roast so all the dogs can have a treat. Yes, we do crazy things like that. They love us for a reason. Okay, it is more than just the food.

Can you believe it is New Years Eve tomorrow? Will you be staying up?

It's a Bit Cooler

The dogs are having fun in and out and get this - no mud! I am celebrating.

Here is the gallery.

Short blog today as I am feeling a tad under the weather. It's that time of the year, I suppose. Can't nap as I have things to do.

Still - the dogs and hugs - bliss!

Wet, Muddy and Mucky

We have 2 gazebos on the deck with roofs so the dogs can not be rained on when they are outside. As the top one is so big, a significant portion stays dry but to some that is not good enough. Rain - really - getting wet - really?

Here they are waiting for Nathan to come back to the TV room. He was getting a drink of water for them. We change the bowls frequently. What do they want to do? Snuggle into the blankets and each other and get or stay dry. LOL

Here is the gallery.

To tell you the truth, I can't blame them. It is impossible to keep them dry and anyone I washed - well its a joke. It's a usual spring or fall day but hey its winter and we have mud. arrgh

Thursday
Dec272018

Huh

Its cold but we still have mud in the extreme back yard. I am about to block it off as we had dirty feet and well mud all over the floor. It's so bad that we are leaving a mop in the kitchen and just changing out the water and cleaner. I hear rain is coming.

I am out tomorrow with Lynda to see a show on labs being trained to be assistant dogs. So, my blog may be just a line or two. Nathan and Dennis and Jon will be here so I can go. I need a mind break and thank you Lynda for inviting me. I may need coffee to wake myself up. LOL

Here is today's gallery.

The dogs as you will see are having a great time. You may even see a mop somewhere there - maybe even someone mopping. It is our life when we have mud. Rain... really? Mother nature is trying to be funny.

Strange Weather

You see the rakes? They need to be put away. LOL

You see the snow? Too cold for mud.

Well one would think so but they found it and then they tracked it indoors all over the place. We had a washing feet marathon.

I have had 2 days in a row of too much to do. Yesterday I was blogging and I literally fell asleep typing sitting up. Now that never happened before. Must be age. I am afraid to look at tomorrow's schedule. Yes, I am laughing. The games we play with ourselves. I am sure you have done it too.

Here is the gallery.

Well, the dogs had a blast today. I didn't get many puppy videos done but that's okay. There is tomorrow.

It is TV time and Nathan and Dennis is getting draped by the dogs. I miss that time. I am in the familyroom with Stormy, Raven and the pups blogging.

Till tomorrow!

2 Updates Today

The Holly was hanging out and staying overnight. Now I have the fun of keeping her clean. Already she is playing up a storm. I have an exceedingly busy day tomorrow so I had to do her tonight.

Thank you Holly's family for the Hendricks and biscuits. I may crack it open tonight so I can relax. Truly appreciated!

It is Christmas and everyone had their Christmas snack. They also played and played today. I groomed and groomed today and took breaks after every dog so I could get the Raven pups feeding. More why on Raven's blog.

I have a really funny photo of Murphy where she was shaking in the gallery. Murphy left today and I want to say thank you to Sherry for the mat for the whelping box. I am going to put it in tomorrow morning to see how the pups like it.

Here is today's gallery.

Rocco just arrived. He's a party guy. But I have to say we have a fabulous bunch of visitors as everyone truly is having fun with each other.

I have a feeling many are facing the shopping craziness of boxing day as we have early drop offs for the day. Good luck, everyone!

Merry Christmas: 2 Updates Today

Hi Nathan and Darlah,

Merry Christmas from Magic, Caitlin, Bill, and Phyllis.

Thanks for everything you do.

The Chee-Kirkpatrick Family

Darlah, Nathan, Dennis and Entire Talemaker Family: We wish you all a Very Merry Christmas Holiday Season.  All three of us miss you.  Freshly washed and brushed out, neither Clarity nor Farley were cooperating for our Christmas photos this year.

Warm wishes from me and big Clarity kisses and Farley hugs!

... Christine

Cocoa wanted to send her Mama Leti and all her siblings a very Merry Christmas!  She got a beautiful collar for being such a good girl.

She continues to astound me with her intelligence and super sweet disposition.  She is a joy and a delight.

Happy holidays to all whatever you celebrate.

Shady got into the spirit of Xmas this year. When we woke up this morning we found he had placed his beloved stuffie on Nora. He never shares his favourite toy. Then you can see he contentedly fell back to sleep. Happy holidays!

Dear Nathan and Darlah:

Just wanted to send our best wishes for the Holiday Season.  Lola has been Santa’s Little Buddy this year.  Wishing you all a wonderful time spent with family.  Happy New Year.

David, Inga, Cassie, Sylvia and Lola

Merry Christmas Darlah and Nathan.  Beau is trying out to be one of Santa’s reindeer.

Not sure how much he can see though.

Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Yan Family

Two Updates: See the Christmas Photos Too

What a crazy busy day. We handed out treats to every dog today. This was their present from us. Each got a knuckle bone to chew on or an antler. Their choice. The knuckle bones won hands down. How interesting.

We are having a bit of a snow dusting but we can still see ground everywhere.

Here is today's gallery.

As it is bordering above zero the dogs are getting muddy - yes muddy and wet - mighty wet.

We hope all of you that celebrate have an enjoyable holiday season filled with cuddles from your dogs or ooohs and ahhhhs when you look at your future puppy. The havanese give you unconditional love when they know you love them. We love them immensely - ours and our visitors from those we bred to those we get to know. They create great memories for us. We are blessed to have each and every one of them in our lives and the humans that love them too!
