Poor Nathan

I was conditioning the dogs to the shower. Read more about it on Abigail's blog.

Just funny the things we do to make sure the dogs hear all sorts of noises and get exposed to all sorts of environments.

Ms. Frannie was playing with the pups famously. Her human mom owns Hanleys Shoes - a great shoe store. You should visit it and say hello to Frannie.

Frannie gets a bath after I type this out and then heads home with Frannie's humans sister that sounds just like her mom on the phone. Ms. Frannie is a delight!

Just finished bathing her and oh my gad is she beautiful!!

Busy Day

We are having a busy day today. I have dogs to wash - got one more to do today. Nathan is taking a nap. He seems to daily. I wish I could. :-)

I had a hard night as Abigail wanted her pups and although her pups did well, Abigail was restless and kept me up. That is the norm when they first make this transition.

I am taking a day off from photos as tonight Panda and Jeannie go to handling class. Jeannie won't walk around as she doesn't have her shots but will stay in my arms and soak in the ambience and maybe with a towel will try out the table. We shall see.

I have to finish grooming everyone, taking them out to play for the x number of times today and finish my blogs. So forgive me - but this is a no photo day across the board. We are still having fun. We just are extra busy and that's okay as the dogs deserve every bit of energy I can muster.

What Do You Think?

Even outside Nathan does practice with the dogs. It's great to take the opportunity to use moments throughout the day if you want them to feel comfie doing something.

He was getting Panda used to someone opening her mouth to look at her teeth on a high table. He also had a few of the other dogs on the table including Jeannie.

It was a windy day today and we had a lot of fun.

The dogs were out a number of times and they rather enjoyed the leaves falling, the cedar needles dropping and the trees swaying. It also wasn't cold so it was perfect.

We played a really great game of retreive in the wind today. Actually we tried it out every time we were out but one time they were over the top excited.

It's so wonderful when the weather seems to breathe new life into them. Not taht the dogs are sedate always but something about a wind that gets them enjoying.

On Thursday we head out to the vets so Thursday's blog posts may be short.

We have Jeannie, Treasure and Spice going to an appointment.

I just washed Treasure but this was the before photo blowing in the wind. Tomorrow I wash Spice.

I did shave her tummy and she's either swallowed a watermelon or....

I tend to wash the dogs here and there. This way they are always relatively clean but this weather - well maybe it may be wise to hold off. Between the leaves coming inside, the rain, the mud... well welcome Fall... now where is winter?

Going Home, Coming

Frannie just came. She the one in the back and Daisy and Simba leaves anytime.

Yes, Simba was shaved down again and he has a stylin' sweater to keep him warm.

Mom has 3 young kids and its just plain easier, I imagine.

Frannie is a go, go, go dog and she came in here playing with Jeannie and just about anyone who would and now she is exhausted.

We have had many, many play sessions. Many, many sweeps of the floor as my floors keep getting covered with dirt and leaves and cedar droppings.

More rain is destined to come and it ios hard to stay clean in this but we try.

Everyone got groomed first thing including the Jeannie. Whether they were playing or sitting on the chairs watching they had a grand time. Something about that soft wind that is warm but overcast is just right for them outside. We are taking advantage of it, are you?

Mia's Visit

Be still my heart.

Mia is here while mom and dad visit St. Jacobs for the day. It is so good for still in heat Roxie to have a dog to play with that seems to be so equal and fun in their play.

It's hard being away even if we have dogs play with Roxie it is still away from the rest. One more week and Roxie is done.

Check out the photos of their play.

I will add a few photos after her bath to this album. That won't be till late this afternoon.

Today is a Day

Check out the Fiona's blog to see an update on Timmy.

Logan, Panda and Daisy have had quite the full day. I don't have photos done but play and play they did.

Daisy gets to hang out back with her cat for a number of weeks while they wait for things to remodel. We will miss the gal. Logan and Panda head out to have a fun filled time at their house.

Tomorrow will be a day of catchup doing things on that to do list. :-)

Jeannie now has her own blog. Plus we got a couple of photos that I wanted to share.

Here is a photo of Pavie camping.

Here is Pavie at the park.

I have a couple of others but I will leave them to share for another day as we also have photos from someone else.

Here is a photo from the picnic - yes it just arrived so don't beat me with a stick...

This was Meeko and her sister Roxie.

Here is Meeko and her mom, Abigail.

Personality

Well she seems to be a feisty opinionated thing so far.

I think she will have fun playing with Timmy on Friday.

She's missing puppy play and Roxie being in heat is just not up to it. She did play with the pups but they are still too young. I give them 2 more weeks and she will be able to start playing. They do perk up to see her.

I need to give her a bath and then I will see how tiny she really is. She needs one from her travels. I also need to clean up her pads and see how she does in a bath. She already stacks. :-)

We have yet to get her over to our sleeping in this timezone but it is getting better.

Here are our traditional bath photos. I guess I need to do a Jeannie blog. hahahaha

Here are a few more from today.

From now on you can follow Jeannie at her own blog.

That Guy of Mine!

Click on the Photo for a Larger View

That guy of mine he goes to a dog show in Germany and shows a papillon, has truly gracious hosts and brings me back precious cargo, our newest addition from O'Brisans Xtra - Jeannie in a Bottle.

It's funny I hate the name 'Jeannie' as its my middle name but its growing on me now.

What a pistol she is. She is a ball full of delight and I must say she's even more than I dreamed she was.

Here's a photo when we just got home last night. Both Nathan and Jeannie crashed at 930pm.

Update Early

No photos, no time. Got a shower to take, dogs to groom and Nathan to pick up at the airport. He's going to be tired too as he's only been gone for a few days and he's been in a timezone 6 hours ahead of us.

Look forward to seeing my guy and the dawgs will be excited too.

We get to see Daisy when we get back too so it's going to be a great night!

We will fill you in tomorrow.

Daddy's Gal

Roxie is Daddy's gal and Nathan has been away so she has been missing him.

As she is in a heat cycle she gets to sleep with Dennis who sleeps watching the pups. Dennis said he has had hardly any sleep due to her. She would come up and ask to be picked up on the couch and then jump down soon after them do it again and again and again.

One time he ignored her and she jumped up and he said she can jump up herself boy does she have my number. I said yes, she's been jumping up for a long time but she is a princess and wants you to pick her up. You did so she kept asking. hahahahaha

Here are a couple of quirky photos I took of her.

She's not over the moon - no Daddy and I get to not sleep in bed with Mommy but she is adjusting. She will be over the moon to see Daddy tomorrow night.

Daisy Goes Home

Daisy Waiting for Human MomDaisy is so soft and delightful but I can't let her out as she will get dirty. I had to take in my plants from outside. It is/was a huge job. We are still working on it but while we were doing this Daisy got into the pots that had annuals that I dumped out and she was black, black, black all the way up her legs to her tummy.

Good thing she was having a bath today. She's going home anytime now.

Mia arrived and has been playing up a storm. She's going home tomorrow after a bath. Everyone is doing Thanksgiving things.

This is the 1st year we won't have a turkey. You will find out why on Monday or Tuesday but oh boy I am missing having one. But after doing these pots, washing and grooming, cleaning up after pups, feeding - well no energy. After Daisy goes home, I am going to crawl on the couch, let Dennis watch the pups and snuggle and snooze with the dawgs but you just watch I won't be allowed. You see we are not finished outside and its getting cold tonight. Oh well I may need a new body after this - for sure...

Oh Those Guys

Got everyone brushed.

I took them out for a run ala Nathan style. I ran, they ran and I clicked. I managed to really get them going! It was fun.

Here are a few photos of them out back and dear old Daisy is the funniest where Logan and Panda are determined to show mommy Lynda they weren't groomed. Oh, they had baths but what a riot they are making sure they get messy again.

Not to worry, Karen when Daisy is washed tomorrow she will stay inside. hahahahaha

Ty also dropped in unexpectedly - workers in their house and lots of errands for mom. He was a joy to have!

Yep, we still have crazy fun daily here!

Phantom's Departure

Phantom was visiting so he could be mated with Spice. We were going to use Truffie but he is too soft and is not up to the task of a first timer. So we brought Phantom in and her next time it will be with Truffie.

This sometimes happens.

Phantom will be travelling tomorrow to Stouffville to friends that are going to a show Paula is in this weekend. So he had a bath today.

He is always such a delight and always a good boy.

We had a fun day of running in the back yard. The weather is fantastic. We watched X-factor. I groomed. We played retrieve in the house and soon I will feed and groom the Scruffster as he departs and Logan and Panda who go back home at this time. The 3 came for a day visit and had a ball.

Miss Daisy blanketed my neck while we watched x-factor, Fiona was on my feet, Kat on my lap. It was fun.

To all the Canadians reading this blog I hope you all have a very enjoyable Thanksgiving.

We have a surprise on Thanksgiving night that we will share then.

What are we thankful for? All of you that love your pups so. Now that is special!

Unexpected Visitor

We had an unexpected visitor today and I am sadly behind in everything but it was worth it!

The rest of the crew is doing fine except Roxie who is having tummy aches and not eating. Poor thing. I had to give her a half of a zantac to try to settle her tummy down. Check out Fiona's blog to see who came to visit.

So You Want to Brush Me?

As usual, Treasure gets brushed daily but right after she does, she sticks her head into the nearest dog bed and says - so there.

This is what the end result is.

If you have a dog that does this too, just go with the flow and enjoy them. You know they do not have any knots and that's all that counts.

Despite this messy facial hair you can still see those gorgeous eyes of Treasure. Plus she has a shiny mane of gold.

Oh My a Series of Grooming Humour???

These videos was done to educate but I think it goes too far - still it has its points...It's hard to look at it from the groomer's point of view as many really care about the dog.

Best Friends

Treasure and Fiona seem to share a kindred spirit for fun. Every once in awhile they just let loose and play for what feels like a solid hour. Then they crash.

Today we had everyone out playing retrieve. Daisy decided playing hockey style blocking was the most effective. Truffie decided doing the - oops it's mine hahahaha you didn't see worked for him.

They all have their angles to get the toy first. Coach and Sassy when here (live in the same house_ tag team everyone as if they were one similar to Logan and Panda. It makes the most sense. The dogs that live together team up to help each other WIN!

When the games begin the competitive begins and so do the creative ways they use to win.

It's truly fun to watch and after this session they are literally snoring.
