Oh Oh the Game

Jamie went absolutely bonkers looking out the back door so Nathan went to take him out as he didn't see what got him going so much. It seems the mouse is back and was scurrying across the deck and well Jamie was having none of it. 

Dogs - they find the fun in the craziest things and well I guess he must have a prey drive as he chased and chased that thing but it got away. Maybe it will stay away. 

The havanese found this all so fascinating as they watched. 

Pool is closing next week. I surely hope it closes before the 3 crew departs so they can have the pool cover trampoline experience. If not they can just come visit. LOL

Can't wait till Thanksgiving so we can share a turkey with the dogs. We break up a little in each bowl and yum they eat every single bit. Can't blame them. I make a great turkey. LOL

Now off to wash dogs. I have 2 pups to wash tomorrow too

Everyone is completely and literally having a blast. I just wish gals would be out of heat. Sky is now in heat - oy

Sorry So Late

It's been a long day. I had dogs to wash. We had a vet visit and I had another dog to wash. I still have videos to upload. So - apologies and I must start on puppy stuff as they start going home Friday - yikes!

Dogs had a ton of fun - and I mean a ton!

Had to buy a printer yesterday. Got a great open box deal - only 1 so now I can print as the Canon died. Always something but sort of needed it for all the paperwork. Life....

Now I must cut this short. Tons to do and then end of night cleanup. I also have a dog to wash and groom 1st thing so tomorrow will be busy but not like today! Well - I hope!

Cold and Sad

It's a really cold day today. But with body weight, the dogs do not mind. Dogs have been running around as the squirrels and birds are readying themselves for colder times. We have to bring in our plants somehow and someway or let them die. LOL  We shall see. 

Tobias and Havoc departed. Lachlan came for the day and Murphy departs this morning. Tomorrow Opus departs and we have a vet visit with 17 pups. I only have 2 groomings to do so I will try to get those done before the vet comes at 1. I figure it will take a few hours to complete everyone.

My printer has died so I have been exploring possibilities. Sort of need one of those. We head out to get one today and Dennis can gripe about setting it up. I guess I could too but I have a dog to do tonight.

It really looks like rain so I told Dennis to do his run game earlier than later. 

A couple of days ago Ripley - not one of ours but Kat was his dad - died from cancer. Still hurts when they are older. 

A Day of Rain

Sorry just finished grooming at 750pm. Now I get to do blogs. LOL

The dogs had fun despite the rain. Murphy refused to go out. She would sniff the air and go - really and turn around, use the pad and find her crate. I think she thought it was a blah day and it was. Each dog that comes on a semi or regular basis claims their spots. It doesn't matter if it is during the day or when they go to sleep with us. Their spot is their spot.

A Day of Fun

Coco is having the time of her life. I never saw her so relaxed. She and a few other dogs had their face plastered on the xpen curious about the pups. It was fun to watch.

Short blog today as I still have grooming and we had puppy visits. Everyone had a great time and Dennis did a hide the treat game today. Got to love him always trying to make life fun for the pups.

Fun House

We have some new visitors and it's a fun and full house. I am juggling grooming and baths and cuts around visits tomorrow. I may be snoring tomorrow.

This is going to be a short blog as I have grooming to do. Our water heater rentals were installed and I rushed to get dogs and laundry done before they shut the gas and water off. They were here all day. We finally have hot water so grooming begins again. Going to be a late night. 

Still - the dogs had fun. 

Guess it is time to close the pool.

Cold Cold

Here is a mini gallery. I am off to the Keg tonight with Sherry. Tomorrow morning we have our water heater rentals getting replaced after 30 years. LOL. One is no longer working. We no longer have water pressure nor hot water. Same price as our original rental agreement - bonus. 

Dogs are off taking a quick run with Dennis.

Balmy Day

What an absolutely balmy day seeing it is almost the end of September. I just love it and so does the adult dogs. I think the pups could care less what weather it is. Just take me outside. Here is Havoc, Opus and dare I say 2 someones that want to go inside to the air. LOL

We hope Ruth is settling into St. John's. Katie is having a fab time but I bet she misses her momma. 

I am finishing the blogs early so I can sit outside in the sun with the dogs. As I type Dennis is out on the 2 deck with the pups. 

Tomorrow it best be warm as Sherry and I are heading to the Keg for an early before rush dinner and may stop at winners. Cold weather is coming and I have lost weight so my winter stuff is hanging but maybe that is a good thing. I love roomy clothes vs form fitting. The dogs don't have to fret as we used to dress them but not anymore. If it is too cold we just bring them inside.

Check this one out. It may be a great way for your pup or adult to keep their mind busy. I am getting one - well actually 2 as I always like to try something that looks promising for my dogs. 

Oh the Smells

It's still warm.  Misty and Ella got in the pool. Others wanted to go but I was simply not up to combing and blowing them out.

Ruth has made it to St. Johns so a step before home. Katie is enjoying herself so she can rest with knowing  that Katie is on holidays. 

Pablo has departed. Ollie, Alfie, Opus, Tenshi, Tobias and Havoc have arrived. Mr. Winston is enjoying lazing, smelling and playing. Ms Harlow - well she takes over the house. My spot - my couch and then smiles about it. Still barking for her dinner. She is a gal who knows what she wants. That makes me smile and I like that!

Everyone is enjoying themselves. The weather is perfect and the fun seems to be everywhere. Alfie - well as soon as Tobias and Havoc arrived he has engaged in play with them. So nice of him to be teh welcoming commitee. Rather genuinely nice!

Summer is Not Completely Gone

This is Winston and Katie enjoying the weather. awww warmth is still here but not hot enough to take pups in. <sigh> Me - I got in. Nathan got in. I feel it is our last hoorah. Let's see if that is what it is. If so, time to close the pool so the dogs can use the cover as a trampoline. Yes - that they do. 

Dogs had a really good run. We have 3 dogs in heat - Cinnamon too but no breeding for her. She's too old and needs to be spayed. 

Been dreaming about a used massage chair. I actually woke up from a dream of sinking into one. I have crazy dreams and I remember them all. Don't you wonder why you dream the things you do? About 2 nights ago I had a dream I couldn't move. Woke up and dogs were all over me. Yep - I couldn't move.

Oh well - I feel lost when I do not have dogs in bed with me. Sounds strange but really true.

Happy 8th

Dennis forgot to take photos so he is going to take them now so I can create a gallery and post a photo here. 

I am doing the text so I can sit on my recliner and rest this knee. I am finally finding a balance so I can feel normal until the end of the day when I guess I still overuse it. 

We had a long day. It rained. They played inside and then got to play outdoors when it went. Interesting enough it was muggy. 

Dennis did run upstairs with them and did a mind game with them but no photos - really? 

I will try to get a photo up and a gallery but if I don't - know they are enjoying and I am in a recliner with dogs.

Doing What He Does Best

I was going into the pool today as it warm but Nathan neglecxted to put the heat on. God knows I love him but I could kill him. The rest of the week is rain and cool. Joy. I have had a lousy summer season with hardly anytime in the pool. It's my holiday. This is the year he got in and I did not much. Will we have any days warm and will he put on the heat when we do or shall we close?

Dennis took more photos than usual. Bonus!

Dogs had fun today. I am ever so glad when they are full of it. We also had a Tempie visit. My little Ella gal had fun as we brought her out too. Next Saturday is the 3 crew visit.

Not Warm Today

It was a very busy day. Tempie had a bath and a whole slew of dogs. I had planned on taking the pups swimming but it was not warm enough and here I am late doing blogs. I am so cold I need to store socks downstairs. LOL

Ronnie bought me pistachios shelled from Costco. I am so bloody excited - seriously! Thank you!

I can't believe Tempie pups have a visit tomorrow. 

Dennis did play upstairs today. Not sure why but as I was gropoming it sounded like the running of the bulls. It sounded like a riot and they seemed mighty happy when they came downstairs. Only dog that didn't participate was Tempie as I was grooming her.

It is always a fun day when it includes a mad run!

Lounging in Coolness

Harlow walked in the pool today. If you want to take her in, she usually declines. AIf it is on her terms - well - that's different. Maybe when it is warmer tomorrow she will try again and AI will have the camera out with me. I didn't swim as it was simply too cool.

Parker arrived and is playing like a crazy person. 

Winston decided he finally likes the pups. 

We are starting to book up for the December holiday - if you can believe. I do not even have the pool closed. It's going to get warmer so it will remain open.

We are in need of a plumber. So, if you have someone you trust, please send Nathan their names, please. 

Now off to upload videos, ice the leg and have a stiff drink. LOL

In Out and About

I hate the thought of the pool getting closed but it appears that this is one of the most fave times of year for the dogs. It's not cold. It's not hot and when it is not raining, play is created in and outdoors. 

They just thoroughly enjoy. 

Just found out today that the son-in-law has covid and he is going stir crazy being in isolation. We haven't seen them for weeks so no concern for us getting it. We still do outside visits. He works in an office and they socialize with friends often. I think this is the 3rd time they have had covid where I have not had it at all

WHO says end of COVID-19 ‘is in sight’ I hope they are accurate. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a normal winter with powdery snow that the dogs could enjoy? I hibernate all winter so not much changes for me. LOL The dogs just came back in from their run with Dennis. He wrapped his arm as he was afraid he would hurt it more but so missed the run with the dogs. I think this solution worked.Saturday we have a Tempie puppy 8 week visit. How did that happen? They will go home before the 3 crew. By the end of the month they are digging up our front lawn as Bell is putting in Fibre Optics. Dennis is thrilled. He thinks the cost will be similar to Tekksavvy but much faster. We shall see. As our house has the cable and Bell box for our entire street attached to our house. We get the digging. I told you the gardening could wait till next year. Yes, I am laughing. 

On the Hunt

Dear Katie saw something running in the underbrush and off she went to see what it was. It is funny who decides to chase and who does not. 

As it was a cooler day, the dogs seem to want to be out more. Who can blame them? Me, I like it warmer. 

Pups play and stare at the adults. Sometimes they kiss them through teh pen. It is interesting to see who is interested and who is not.

All Day Rain Till Tonight

It rained most of the day so the gallery is a bit light. When it stopped they chilled outdoors as if to say - ahhhh let's just hang.

Supposedly rain again tomorrow. I get the feeling the pool needs to close but I do not want it to. Oh well....

Sage is in heat so now we get to separate the dogs at night and I get the gals and Nathan gets the boys in the guestroom. Let the fun begin.
