Mamma We Need Brushing

Here is today's gallery.

I decided a day off brushing was in store and tomorrow too. I will play catch up on Thursday. As you will see in the gallery I did do a lot of garden cleanup so I am in recovery.

The dogs tend to jump in the bucket I drag around to weed and throw it all out again especially Tempie and Rebel. They have the silly willies in them and I love it even if it makes more work for me. You will see the end result in some of the photos in the gallery.

We only have Harlow, Rocco and Ziggy here so it is quieter. These dogs are play monkeys. I had quite a bit of visitors to do to get them ready for the high holidays but not 14 hours. May everyone who celebrates have an easy fast. Enjoy your cleans dogs. Play and keep distracted so the fast goes by fast.

It feels and sounds downright too quiet here but we lazed out on my fave outdoor couch. This couch goes flat like a bed, or 1 side, 2 sides down or all sides up. It is functional and will miss lazing outside with the dogs when winter comes.

It is nice to see people booking for the holiday seasons.

Looking at these photos I feel like I need to brush tonight but I won't till Thursday unless they can't see.

Short Blog

Chilling was the operative word. Here is a small gallery.

We had Daisy and Luna here today and they are from the same litter - Cinnamon and they have the same personality. Believe me, it was hard to tell them apart. They look that alike. 

Everyone had fun. I need to help Dennis with the dogs as Nathan is out. So short blog it is.

More Later But Till Then...

We have a few videos that Nathan took this cloudy almost rainy day. We watch the weather religiously and have alerts to know when it will rain so we can get the dogs out for fresh air and play. It's not always right but it helps to know. We have halls and rooms to play. They get a great deal of activity indoors but nothing like fresh air and as we are always out with them, we get fresh air too. 

Theo, Panda was requested to use our slow bowls. As you will see in one of the videos, it didn't slow them down much and these are good quality slow bowls.

Our son who lives in Vegas got a piece of meat stuck in his esophagus and he has till 11am to move out of his home. Not sure how that will work but with no more calls I gather he is okay. Just adds anxiety and worry. Now to finish up Theo, Panda and DJ as they depart today. DJ is going back home to Calgary so it's sad as we will not see him. Do miss them. 

Update on son: They retrieved it. Seems he also has a fatty liver and lots of gallstones too. 

I weeded after grooming and I am exhausted. 

Two Blog Night

I was lucky to have Dorothy come to visit today as it forced me to take a break after Tia and Benjamin was done. Then Nathan got to take his nap while we chatted. Look who is sitting in her lap.

I want to say Benjamin the puppy is a total play monkey. Tia was thrilled to be here too.

We have 2 blog entries today as it's a birthday celebration too.

I have been busy grooming but it wasn't as bad as yesterday.

The gallery isn't so big. I lied - or Dennis was lazy but you can see the play. Nathan is actually outside playing with them. They love when he sits down so they can smother him.

 I do have a video up of Oakley and Ziggy.  Do you get the idea that Ziggy is always playing too? 

Nathan wants me to weed the middle path in the backyard and cut back the sides on the walkways. What time dear - 2am? LOL  I am going to try tomorrow. We shall see. I think he thinks I am superhuman.

Earlier Night

It was a 12 hour day grooming but better than 14. Tomorrow is a lighter day - still groom but not these hours. Now to start fitting in my own here and there.

The operative word today was play and even one of the dogs visiting that we were told he was a bit unsettled as they had a fire at their home - well he was playing his heart out. That makes me feel good. 

Even though it was Nathan's day off he went and got me 2 breakfast sandwiches from Tim Hortons so I could eat on the fly. It was truly nice. I have been literally dreaming of the keg's chicken oscar - not steak - chicken. Have to laugh. When you don't eat you sometime think of the craziest things. Today I ate while I was blow drying.

Harlow just departed. Logan and Panda are going home soon. I am celebrating sitting down and a really close friend arrived home from Africa and I can't wait to see her photos. 

Hoping it is warm this weekend. Haven't even looked. Nate is spending his night with dogs laying all over him - me too as soon as I stop blogging.

Late Blog

The tongue has it. I just finished grooming. It is Dennis day off. Nathan is in bed with some of the dogs so I still have to prep my coffee, do pads etc and take the rest outside. So bear with me as this will be a short one.

Here is the gallery. Not many photos but as I said unless Dennis and I are behind the camera, there usually isn't a lot. Nathan is off tomorrow and my grooming schedule is the same as today. 

This was a non eating day. Not on purpose. I had no time.

Now to get moving so I make it to bed by 11. Dogs are looking and jumping on me to say it is time and it is!

Regular Visitors

Ellie comes once a week and as you can see she has an absolute blast.

It's as if she is saying - who is top dog. She also played a fair bit with Ziggy. DJ is in love with the girls - all of them. They are all mine.

We had a terrifically loud and pelting with rain and bright light storm last night. Our pool water is almost up to the top and due to the wind our pool is green and cloudy with all the debris. We are hoping to get it cleaned up so we can visit with Dorothy and swim this weekend.

The next 2 days I have so many to groom. I always do after a day off - today - never a total day off but needed for recovery.

Tonight I am taking a class. It can be challenging to concentrate. Dennis day off tomorrow. 

Ren's has a program where they send you treats. If Pippa is reading this maybe she can post about it. I could not find the link to it.

September Play

Here is Misty, Sage and Sage's baby Pepper, Misty tried to take over Pepper. It is hilarious so we also had just mom time with her and Pepper was DELIGHTED.

The dogs are enjoying the cooler weather though it did heat up. This morning was sweats weather and its as if the dogs went awwwww now this is the weather we adore!

I think Pepper things Rebel is a wee puppy as she jumps all over her and Rebel relishes the attention. She is a great puppy. She let me comb her out, do her pads and just stood there and said - ok what's next?

Ziggy and DJ are our only visitors after Pepper departs. 

The dogs keep seeing squirrels and barking. I wonder if they are in storage mode? The squirrels that is - not the dogs.

Happy New Year and Good Year

Here is the Rebel. As you saw yesterday, I had brushed her out and she was an absolute mess. Today I gave her a bath and here she is attempting to destroy everything I did. One has to laugh. Astro was here and departed today - a puppy and she was trying to do the same. This is what makes the havanese so endearing.

Ellie also departed and was playing quite a bit with Astro. Check it out in the video. Ellie has such a sensational upbeat personality.

Ms Murphy and Reggie departed. I heard Reggie was over the moon happy to see his human. He had a blast but the best part is happy to play and stay and happy to go home. Perfect world, I say!

Ms Astro's human gave us a lovely dessert. Never had it before. Do not know what it is but boy good! Thank you!

End of the holiday weekend. Kids will be in school. Oh boy - changes for many. 

Mr. Benny departed today. For an old guy he sure acts like a kid. He sure likes to eat too. I do too so I get that!

Tomorrow Ms Pepper comes for the day. I am so excited. 

Hot Day But Windy

Here is a small gallery. Rebel was rolling all over, I have to comb her back out. She makes me laugh.

Mr Reggie runs around and loves chasing the rabbits that show up every now and then.

DJ is having the time of his life. It is rare that we see him as he lives in Calgary. I feel blessed that he is here.

Miss puppy Astro departs tomorrow and she will be missed. She is such a fun puppy.

Ms Murphy has decided she likes outside and the couch the best. Ms Ellie jumps and jumps and jumps. One has to laugh. Mr Benny a senior oh you have food... lol He sure likes to eat. Then there is Ziggy who embraces life like he was just asked to go to a party and well he's in his element. Love the dogs...

They make me smile!

Fun Play Day

This was Oakley and Ziggy. Playing was the operative word today with everyone. Ziggy is here for a few weeks and it's been awhile. We are so excited to see him.

Finnegan, Oakley, Bailey, Archie, Meadow and Diamond departed. Murphy, Ziggy and Archie arrived. Tenshi departs shortly. Do you have that all straight? LOL I so relish seeing the dogs. It is like having gifts each day. Hard to explain but I get so excited to see each.

Everyone is enjoying themselves. The couches are draped with dogs - well some are there - some are with me. 

Now to sit down with the dogs and watch Martin Short with Steve Martin in a TV show.

Coco, Vivi and Shlomo departed today. All had a great amount of fun. We have a new dog visiting today called Oakley and he is doing rather well. Adele and River also arrived. 

Our pool chlorinator is not working. It either needs a new cell or a new unit. It is too late in the season to fix it so we will just throw bromine in. Right now it's got algae in it. Yuck. Good thing its not hot. This is the year of things breaking. 

Thank you goes to Coco's mom for the muffins. Yum! 

People are going away and they have plans through Christmas season. I surely hope we have snow this winter. Yes, I said it. I like the dogs having fun in powder snow. I hate the cold though and teh driving in it. 

This is Nathan's day off. Yes, he had 2 this week if you are counting but he had none last week. LOL

What is he doing? Lazing outside with the dogs. It is the best. 

Now to start feeding the dogs.

Oh Relationships

This is Ripley. He seems to be smittened with Tempie. He also rather loves Roxie and Cinnamon too.

Today Kally (this play monkey will be missed) and Murphy boy departs (hope recovery from flood is going well). Gucci was also here (she was great on grooming table) and Coco older one departs today. Well Coco is always great on table. Reggie arrived. Did you follow that?

The dogs are really having a blast. It is interesting who they choose to play with at a given moment. You watch the play bow, the request to play and then it goes into full play.

The dogs had a truly outstanding day! I did too watching them.

Dennis had a terrible migraine but click he did. The dogs dragged in dirt and what have you into the kitchen but I didn't mind. Floors can be cleaned but fun - well it is important!

Memories Good and Bad

Pablo was here today and I heard from his mom about the last time he was here how her purse, Pablo was in the car and Pablo stood on the lock and she couldn't get in. Thankfully it was a cooler day but a costly one. She can tell it better but if I was me, I would have been crying.

Mr. Pablo was a moving target on the table. Never is usually but boy was he full of it. I had to laugh and laugh.

Dogs enjoyed the less than muggy day. I groomed and groomed. Ms Ellie departed and oh boy is she a player. I wonder if she is at home tuckered out.

We are in puppy heaven here. They are all having a great deal of fun! Maybe I will go outdoors and chill with the dogs.

Smell Festival

What is it after a rain that fascinates the nasal senses of the dog?

Panda departed. Rosey departed. So did Charlotte and Jaime. Did I spell that right?

In about 10 minutes I am out for dinner with Ronnie and Elana. I made a few things for Elana and I am hoping she likes them.

The dogs have had it with this heat. It still is hot and thought it would go after the rain but it is starting to cool off at night. Does that mean fall? Please no.... not yet.

We have a puppy crew here right now. It is delightful. They all seem to so enjoy each other. They are already missing Rosey.

The dogs are having fun today!!!

When All Else Fails

It was so completely muggy here today that although the dogs went out, they came in soon after. This is Panda cooling off on the vent. Have to laugh. She also walked into the pool so I had to clean her up a bit and dry her out. She is a strong swimmer too.

Murphy arrived. They had a 6 or may 8 week renovation and one of the water pipes they put in burst so now they are redoing the renovation. Guess those contractors lost on this job. Got to do it right.

Luna and Dante depart tonight just before bedtime.

I literally groomed from 7am sharp to 5pm today with no break. I am tired. Tommorrow I do the same but then I head out to diner with Ronnie and Elana. That will be fun. It's Elana's birthday.

Lola, Lily and Maui departed today. Teddy was also here for a groom in time for mom to get home. Bravo!

We also have a visitor gaining confidence by the minute that may be staying with us on holidays.

It's Nathan's day off tomorrow and Friday as he didn't have one last week.

I didn't even go outside today not step into the pool. For shame.

But I did have dogs with me while grooming so I felt like I saw non full groomed dogs too.

Guys - it's almost the end of August. Oh boy... too fast!

2 Post Day

I have been having major difficulties with the galleries so I am delayed tonight.

Tomorrow, Dante, Luna, Lola, Maui and Lily depart. It is a crazy busy grooming day but we will get it done. :-)

5 Years Old
