Very Short Update

We had visitors. Donna and her daughter-in-law came to see the pups and get a distraction fix. I am hoping the pups did it for her.

Patches kept ending up in her lap.

Tomorrow I will do a gallery so you can see but tonight I am out of time. The pups are really wonderful. What a great crew. They were impressed at the waggy tails, I am excited to see you.

More tomorrow....

Last Week As 3

Jeannie pups are starting to see what stairs are about. Max just jumped on out and Patches said are you crazy and so did Abby. They will get it. They have a few more days to. This is how it starts. If we didn't have steep stairs it would happen earlier.

Here is a video taken today. Plus here is a gallery of photos I took today.

The pups have now been taken downstairs to our son and his visitors. I think he loves showing them off. I can see why!

Last Week?

Yes, it's the last week for 1 (Max), last week and a day for the next (Patches) and the last Abby hangs out for an additional week.

I am going to miss this crew. They are simply way too much fun.

Take a look at the video. Plus be sure to check out the gallery.

They played inside and outside. At times they can run like the wind. Rain, dry - it doesn't matter. We like it all! How can you not fall in love with such persinality filled pups.

Pups and Mom

Indoors, outdoors we are alright. It rains and we still play. It pours, the human wants to come in but not us.

Here is a gallery of today's fun. Make no mistake. They are fun, fun and more fun.

Jeannie is adjusting to not having many meals. She is also getting back into playing with the adults. No video today but still under the weather.

Indoors and Outdoors

Just going to put a lot of photos up as I am a bit under the weather and its a lot of blogs to update when you are not feeling well. Pups don't mind the rain.

They are also starting to try the stairs outdoors.

They also had upstairs play.

It doesn't matter where we bring them they seem to be fine in adjusting.

Tomorrow I will resume the videos as long as I feel human.

Outdoors Before the Rain

MaxAbby

Patches

Here is a video of them playing outside today. Here is a gallery. The pups are out playing in the kitchen as I type. We are practicing bite inhibition with the pups. They are at that stage where everything goes in gets chewed on so you say OW really loud and stop the play. They do get it. They aren't biting to hurt. They are mouthing but their teeth are sharp. This is a normal stage.

The pups are also chasing Inula and all the bug dogs with no fear. They even try to play tug with them. It's a riot. I think I am big I think I am big!

No Outdoor Video Today

Its wet outside so we played upstairs, in the kitchen and in the hallway. We didn't take video as the human here was washing Risa, grooming and that's okay at times.

Here are a couple of videos I did manage to get on the ipad.

Using the Pad

Chilling Out

These pups are really great natured pups. They play, they sleep and they love people and other dogs. They are now sleeping through the night and today we even woke them up at 720am. The goal is always 7am here as that is when we get up and they go to bed around 10pm.

They are now eating half solid, half softened food. For a crew that didn't want to eat anything but mousse they made that transition when canine mom said the milk bar was closed. What a smart mom as that is what they needed. She is now able to play with them without them relentlessly going after her milk bar.

They are huge snugglers when they aren't busy with their siblings.

Tomorrow rain or shine we will get out but they say its a hot day tomorrow. Will it happen? We shall see.

Inside Outside Fun

Thee pups manage to have fun no matter where they are. Check out the video. They are really having fun with the bigger guys too. Sometimes they even chase them and initiate the play.

Check out the gallery.

Check out some quick extra videos.

What do I have - can you catch me? Plus Wild Play.

I can't believe they are departing in 2 weeks and 1 will remain an extra week. Well Abby will go to bed with us. It will be a fun adventure for her for the week. By that time Panda's pups will be older and Roxie's will be out and about. This way Abby will get to play with Roxie's pups. How fun!

Eight Week Visit

The pups are great. No sign of being sore. Here is a gallery from today. The video is now here. So far its taking its time and says 38 minutes but its going slower than that.

Havanese pups usually range between 2lbs and 4 lbs at the 8 week stage. It is not a determining factor in their health. It's simply like humans. Some of us start out larger and some smaller. To complicate things is a small one can actually play catch-up and a larger one can slow down in growth. Ways of determining is past history in the lines of relatives and if mom has had a litter previously. No one is oversized so I don't think we will have too big. Jeannie is a small gal but solidly built. So I do not think we will have as small as Cali and Cali is small but quite healthy. All are solidly built. These pups are nicely built, great personalities. I am pleased with them.

Thank you everyone for coming. I am going to take a short nap in case I am on night duty with Panda. Nathan gave me sleep last night but really I kept waking up too. Parents are rather like that.

Puppies we believe are now:

Max 3lb 6 oz

Patches 2lb 1/2 ounce

Abby 2lb 13 oz

Someone mentioned weight but when you look at this there is only 18 ounces between Patches and Max. That is nothing in the scheme of things.
