I can't believe this crew is 11 days old. They are the next in line for eyes open. When you watch them they are trying to walk. It's so cute.
I put a pillow in for them and they climb up and down. It is good to develop those muscles and they are.
The pups are still gaining really well. Leti dotes over them and adores them. I find her kissing them throughout the day.

This girl is absolutely a chocolate. Nathan did nails today and I took photos of all 6 of her pups. I also took a few individual photos of Ravens. i know thsi is confusing sharing the pups but it is so working.
As they get older their ears lay down. Now they are appropriately referred to as airplane ears. I find it a cute stage.

If you notice, the pups are moving and getting to mom quite well.

Pups are now 9 days old. If you watch the videos, it is interesting to see how much better they are at getting to mom.
I do believe they want for nothing and neither does mom.
Nathan makes sure they eat. I take care of the rest of their needs.

These pups gained over an ounce in a 24 hour period again. It is nice to see great gains. Leti is also eating by herself but if Nathan will indulge - okay Daddy - yes feed me.
Leti's food has been stolen by Cinnamon too often so we are now closing the door each time they have food. We are also feeding Cinnamon a lot more. LOL
Leti just adores her pups. It is interesting that at times they don't eat all at once. 3 can be eating, one not then 1 eating and 3 not. Leti doesn't mind.

Leti is a happy girl. She may have just 4 now but she doesn't mind. She goes in, kisses her 2 with Raven and then goes back to hers too.
Leti needs a bath but she will not get one till the pups are over 2 weeks. It takes too long to groom and that means the pups will skip a feeding. I comb out daily and freshen them up.
The pups are no longer trying to push their way to a milk spot. There is always easy access. That is a bonus.
Leti is such a grand mom. She loves them so.
Last night she watched Raven pace back and forth checking out the pups in each area. I believe I caught it on video.
The rollovers and the crawling is quite spectacular. Out of all the pups, only some roll over so early. It's fun to watch when they do.

It is interesting that I can give 2 pups to Raven of Leti's and they are all the same size as Raven's boy. Now Leti's will have more milk slots and they will get fat. LOL
Both moms are doing well with the sharing.
I ended up weighing later than usual due to Raven's pup being born but all gained quite nicely.
leti is a doting mom and all pups are doing really well. They look plump now.

As it is too dark in this room, taking photos have not been fun. My camera does not have a built-in flash and y flash unit had a batter decay in it. Not sure why so I have been for days cleaning it out and trying to get battery contact so it would work. I finally achieved success as you can see with the photo above. I won't manipulate photos in Photoshop etc as I am a purist. I want to see what the camera sees not how I manipulate it. Each of us that take photos have a different perspective and that's okay.
Some of the photos in the gallery are without a flash and some are with. You can see the difference. I really need lighting in here instead of the halogen ceiling lights I have that are not bright enough.
Pups are doing well.

This crew is gaining steadily. When you start out small, your tummy is small. You must eat more frequently and then as you grow the tummy gets larger. The intake can be greater and they can sleep inbetween. Sleep helps growth. These pups are sleeping inbetween feedings. they find mom more times than not.
They are getting used to me holding them now. I take my finger and stroke them and they seem to melt. How nice is that?
Mom and pups are doing well. Leti is eating better. Her tummy has calmed down. She still wants to be hand fed and as I remind you, I will ONLY do this when they have pups. Steak cut in small bits is her fave. It can't be cooked in the oven. It has to be on the BBQ. LOL
Do you notice they have more weight - therefore they look quite attractive!

Pups are now almost 3 days old. They are gaining. Leti is mighty attentive. We took VERY short individual shots - some came out blurry but at this stage mom does not get the desire for photos and taking them away from her. So, we will do this again when we nail cut around a week or so old.
It appears to me that we may have a girl that is chocolate and a boy that is chocolate. To confirm you wait till their pigment comes in and their eyes open.

Leti does not want to leave her pups much. They are only going on 2 days old. All are gaining and being loved. I even have to comb her out in the whelping box as you will see in one of the videos I am uploading.
She is also eating when we hand feed her. I will ONLY do this with new moms so they eat enough for milk production. I won't do this for dogs that are being picky. You do not want to create a monster when it comes to feeding. Dogs will eat when they are hungry. Pay attention to their feel and their weight. See Weight Matters to gauge if they are too thin or too fat.
The pups are wonderful and I do believe at least 1 is a chocolate. It will all unfold.
