Play Session Already

Not even 4 weeks yet and they had a play session. How did they do - oh my - just watch and see. You know what I love about these boys? I call them and they come running to me - well fast walking. hahahaha

They also had their nails cut. Check out the gallery. 

The boys are growing up and faster than usual. See how they did on the slippery floor too. Strong legs on this crew already.

Here's more videos but inside the xpen. Looks like we are starting daily play sessions out of the xpen. Going to have to take them in the hall and see how they do. That's a goal - maybe tomorrow.

We are now 3 and a half weeks old. Soon we will be 4 weeks old. How did that happen?

I can now lay in the xpen and they will give me kisses. They will come walking fast to me all excited. It is something they truly look forward to and I look forward to it as well.

24 Days Old

The pups are plain fun. I love playing with them daily. I wish Nathan would groom and just let me play. The one dog he does groom he brags to the owners that he did it. Men.... I groomed too much today and tomorrow I have a full day. Think I am going to start insisting on Sundays off so I get a day off. :-)

The pups still get me many times a day. I am still their core socializer and Nathan comes in when I say nails etc. He will participate more when they come out to the hallways and play. 

Today I just laid in the pen and let them crawl all over me. No, I didn't do a video. It was for my memories and oh my gad the one in teh front climbed up and over me completely. You go boy!

Pups weight gains are now slowing down. Think about it. They are now exercising their bodies more now. The more energy they expel, the less they gain. Then when they start eating food they start gaining more again. It's a natural process.

The pups are so sociable. I walk by the xpen and if they are awake they are making noises for me to come to play with them. I can't wait till Panda's pups are at that stage.

The pups are really getting better daily in the walking department. They also LOVE to see me and play with me. Be still my heart. Even with feeling under the weather they tend to make me smile.

I can't wait till they are at least 4 weeks so we can start taking them out in the hallway to play. Life is about to get extra fun.

3 Weeks Old Today

They are plump butter balls enjoying their surroundings. Leti is ever so attentive but I comb her up and she looks a mess a minute after. She needs a bath and so does Panda but I don't want them frantic to get back to the pups so maybe a couple of more days. Plus I am under the weather. Pups are damaging her hair by mouthing it etc but it will grow back. 

Can you believe they are 3 weeks this morning. One more week and they will be coming out for play sessions. wow. Here is the gallery.

1 Day Shy of 3 Weeks Old

I can't believe they are one day shy of 3 weeks old. How did that happen? Pups adjusted to the new surroundings quite easily. They are usually all spread out. Yesterday they got the feel of the floor too as some of the blankets exposed the flooring. They are not ready to have traction on the floor but it was a good experience.

I make sure I get all day sunlight in this room as it is beneficial to the pups but sometimes that means colours are washed out. I have 4 windows in this room that bring in a significant amount of light. It's good for everyone including humans. 

I have started holding each up to the window and starting tomorrow I will start walking them through the house. This is the beginning of their exposures in a positive way.

New Digs Day 19

One of the boys not the Choco started climbing out of the whelping box. That is a clear sign they need more room. So this morning while Nathan was running the grandkids and daughter to school and to the Go Train, Dennis and I set up the xpen. 

How did they react? No issues at all. It was as if they were always in the new surroundings. I find this fascinating as you usually have some reaction but just like days ago one of the pups held up to the window never shook but instead turned his head looking around as if he was curious.

With more space they will explore toys, practice more walking and Leti has more room to hang out or not hang out with the pups. They also got the pink creature to snuggle with.

If anyone sees another like it, let me know. It is coming up on Valentines Day so maybe someone will be selling one or something similar. I have searched online but haven't found it. The pups LOVE snuggling with it as it's large, soft and has many areas to snuggle with.

Here is today's gallery. The pups are increasingly getting more animated as they do after their eyes and ears open. They are also practicing walking many times a day. This boy that is in Nathan's arms plays the most with me. He literally engages me each time. I must get it on video as its quite fun. I swear he is smiling all the time when he sees you. 

I find this is the fun stage. Next stage will be climb out and get out of the xpen stage.

Pups are really starting to get curious and active. Ones a better walker than choco. You will have to watch the videos later on to see what I mean. But here is today's gallery with individual shots trying to give you all views. We did individual shots on both litters today.
